Abstract

The present invention relates to a refrigerator (1) comprising a beverage dispenser (5), the position of which can be changed and which can be mounted without the need for alterations.

Description

Description A REFRIGERATOR
[0001] The present invention relates to a refrigerator comprising a beverage dispenser that can be assembled within its body.
[0002] The refrigerators comprise beverage dispensers providing the beverages stored inside to be cooled and to be dispensed when desired. When beverage dispensers integrated to the door or the body are used, generally the inner volume of the refrigerator cannot be utilized efficiently. Furthermore their locations cannot be changed when desired since they are integrated with the refrigerators. The modular beverage dispensers, on the other hand, are produced such that they can only be mounted on locations specially formed for them on the door or inside the cabin.
[0003] In the state-of-the-art, in the United States Patent no. US6574984, a description is given of a refrigerator comprising a portable water dispensing module mounted on the door in a recess specially designed for it whereby it can also be used being displaced from the recess.
[0004] The aim of the present invention is to design a refrigerator having a beverage dispenser that can be mounted on the cabin, the door or the shelf, the location of which can be changed without the need for modifications.
[0005] The refrigerator designed to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is explicated in the first claim, and the other features are explicated in the consecutive claims.
[0006] The present invention relates to a beverage dispenser that is mounted on a shelf, comprising a reservoir and a faucet that are joined by way of a pass that is inserted through an opening on the shelf.
[0007] With the embodiment of the present invention, the beverage dispenser can be mounted inside any refrigerator having a shelf with an opening and an empty space around the opening that can receive the beverage dispenser, without any alterations, by way of an adapter if required.
[0008] In other embodiments of the present invention, when the beverage dispenser is desired to be positioned at another location other than the opening on the shelf, it can be mounted/dismounted on the door, the cabin or another beverage dispenser if desired, with the help of protrusions and recesses.
[0009] In the embodiment of the present invention, a description is given of a beverage dispenser which can be attached on the desired opening on the shelf, its reservoir being filled with beverages like water or fruit juice, providing the desired amount of the beverage to be consumed with the help of the faucet under the reservoir, and when the beverage inside is finished, can be displaced to be mounted on another opening, being used at another location if desired. [0048] The refrigerator (1) of the present invention comprises a cabin (3) into which food and beverages are stored, one or more doors (4) that provide access into the cabin (3), one or more shelves (2) on the interior of the door (4) and/or the cabin (3) onto which food and beverages are placed, a beverage dispenser (5) that can be selectively mounted or dismounted on the door (4), the shelf (2), the cabin (3) or on another dispenser, that provides to cool and when desired to pour the beverage inside into the containers (A), an opening (19) situated on the shelf (2) on which the beverage dispenser (5) is detachably mounted.
[0049] The beverage dispenser (5) comprises a reservoir (7) to store the beverage, at least one faucet (14) detachably mounted on the bottom of the reservoir (7), providing to pour the beverage stored in the reservoir (7), and at least one pass (9) that fits in the opening (19) allowing the joining of the faucet (14) with the reservoir (7).
[0050] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the reservoir (7) is positioned on the shelf (2) and the faucet (14) that is fitted on the pass (9) extending into the opening (19) is positioned under the shelf (2).
[0051] The faucet (14) comprises a ring (11), a spring (12), a prop (13) contacting the spring (12) and pushing the spring (12) by the action of the container (A) providing to open or close the pass (9), a gasket (20) between the prop (13) and the ring (13), and a neck (10) that houses and protects the prop (12).
[0052] The prop (13) comprises an extension (21) that enables opening and closing, a discharge hole (23) for pouring the beverage received from the reservoir (7), one or more support elements (22) around the discharge hole (23) for housing the spring (12) seated in between them, and at least one arm (24) around the support element (22) which the container (A) presses on and pushes.
[0053] The reservoir (7) provides the beverage inside to be poured from the faucet (14) only when the prop (13) is pushed by the container (A) and when the prop (13) is set free, the remaining beverage is stored in the reservoir (7) in a leak-proof manner.
[0054] In one embodiment of the present invention, a pass (9) integrated to the reservoir (7) is utilized, and the faucet (14) is assembled to the pass (9). Hence the beverage dispenser (5) can be mounted in openings (19) larger than the pass (9) by way of the adaptor (25). Furthermore the pass (9) sizes can be kept as small as possible allowing the beverage dispenser (5) to be mounted even in the smallest possible opening (19).

[0001] A refrigerator (1) comprising a cabin (3) into which food and beverages are stored, one or more doors (4) that provide access into the cabin (3), one or more shelves (2) on the interior of the door (4) and/or the cabin (3) onto which food and beverages are placed, a beverage dispenser (5) that provides to cool and to pour the beverage inside into the containers (A) when desired, and characterized by an opening situated on the shelf (2) on which the beverage dispenser is detachably mounted and a beverage dispenser (5) comprising a reservoir (7) to store the beverage, at least one faucet (14) detachably mounted from the bottom of the reservoir (7), providing to pour the beverage stored in the reservoir (7), and at least one pass (9) that fits in the opening (19) providing to join the faucet (14) with the reservoir (7).
