- The present invention relates to a device for gas or electric cooking plates.
- Currently, switch-off and indication systems for gas and electric cooking plates comprise systems with safeties which in case of accidental extinguishing of the flame (only for gas versions) block the delivery of gas and a timer which, when set to the end of the cooking time, activates only an acoustic warning.
- Further, the electric flame ignition part is separate with respect to the self extinguishing system.
- The user must therefore remain in the vicinity of the plates, at such a distance as to be able to hear the acoustic warning issued by the timer, so that he/she can then turn the plates off manually.
- Further, the acoustic warning of such known types of plate cannot be heard, for example, by people with hearing problems, and this limits its field of use.
- The aim of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems, eliminating the drawbacks of the cited background art, by providing a device which, applied to gas or electric cooking plates, does not require the constant presence of the user during its use.
