Abstract
The progect object is an exhaust system structure for the resolution of the problem how has the "biker" how wants to use his motorcycle on the race circuit and even on the road. The matter born cause the biker uses always a different exhaust system between circuit and road use. The reason why it is necessary have two exhausts, it is that the racing system is not able for road use cause it doesn't follow the European rules 97/24 CE against noise pollution. With our project we have realyzed an exhaust system how grants in few seconds to can transform an homologated system in a racing system, and allows to transform it again in an homologated silencer.
Description
- The progett object is an exhaust system structure for the resolution of the problem how has the "biker" how wants to use his motorcycle on the race circuit and even on the road. The matter born cause the biker uses always a different exhaust system between circuit and road use, for the circuit he use always a racing silencer to improve the power while for the road use he use the original exhaust or an homologated aftermarket system. The reason why it is necessary have two exhausts, it is that the racing system is not able for road use cause it doesn't follow the European rules 97/24 and 2005/30 CE against noise pollution and for emissions control, therefore, everytime the biker how decide to go in the circuit he must fit the racing system and when he must come to use the motorcycle on street he must fit again the original pipes with a really big loss of time.
- With our project we have realyzed an exhaust system how grants in few seconds to can transform an homologated system how follow the rule 97/24 and 2005/30 in a racing system with high power increase, and always in few seconds allows to transform it again in an homologated silencer.
- With this solution our customer can have one only exhaust system and saves a lot of time and don't take risk of penality during road use.
- To can get our final target we are start from a standard racing muffler with Inside cannister D.43 completely free till end of the exhaust. To can reduce the noise we have add to the traditional rock wool one our new alluminium noise reducer type how reduces the exit hole dimension and therefore it reduces the noise till can get the right level to have the european homologation how follow the rule 97/24 and 2005/30.
- Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent hereinafter from the following detailed disclosure of a preferred, though not exclusive, embodiment of the invention, which is illustrated, by way of an indicative, but not limitative example, in the accompanying drawings, where:
- figure 1 is a side elevation view showing an exhaust system structure for racing use with a frontal sectional view.
- figure 2 is a side elevation view longitudinal cross-sectional showing an exhaust system structure for road use, that, to have the european homologation how follow the rule 97/24 and 2005/30, is provided with a new alluminium nois reducer (Ref.1 - Fig.2), inserted at the end of the silencer (Ref.2 - Fig.2) by a classic commercial SIEGER (Ref.3 - Fig.2).
Claims (1)
- The innovation in evidence is characterized in that this noise reducer is REMOVABLE, our silencer it is not made like the traditional exhausts where these parts are welded into the muffler or fixed by many screws or many rivits, OUR reducer is very easy and fast to REMOVE cause it is fit only by pressure, with a commercial SIEGER how staies between the reducer and the edge created at end silencer, this situation it presses the reducer into the end of the exhaust. In few seconds if you remove the sieger, the reduce comes out by hand, and you transform an homologated exhaust system in a racing system and always in few seconds, when you'll finish to "run" on the circuit, you can put again the reducer into the silencer and fix it with the sieger and therefore have again a silencer 100% in rule with the noise level for road use.
