Abstract

The method involves determining a value of degree of dryness of the painting material defined by the dryer device, optimizing the drying process. The material stream influencing the drying process is determined an area (B1) of the printing machine, which comprises the drying device. A substance describes features of the determined material stream visually. The humidity setting of a supply air (20) and the humidity setting of an exhaust air (30) of the drying device are determined. An independent claim is also included for a printing machine, which has controlling device, sensors, an arithmetic and logic unit.
