Description

The invention relates to a cantilevered canopy, consisting of a rectangular roof panel and at least two anchored to the wall brackets, the roof panel is arc-shaped and connectable along both side edges with the brackets, Such canopies are used, for example, to cover the entrance of exterior doors, said As a roof panel for illuminating the entrance area preferably flat plates made of translucent plastic can be used.

The available on the hardware stores round arched canopies consist of a shaped in the round arch roof panel, which are bordered at their side edges with profiled bars and screwed with these on the brackets or secured in any other way. The attachment of such a round arched canopy is relatively easy for hobbyists. However, the canopy makes a little stable impression overall because of its optical reasons, probably something easily executed headband. In the case of heavy winds or heavy snow loads, it is to be feared that the retaining brackets will not be able to handle the force load.

EP 1 544 373 A2 shows as well DE 103 24 343 A1 Canopies with pointed triangular brackets and cross struts, but no arcuate cross struts with slots or slots in which engage the headband.

DE 197 06 567 A1 relates to a canopy made of an arcuately upwardly arched glass canopy plate, in particular safety glass, which is attached to the outer wall of the building above the entrance area by means of support rods or support tubes and secured thereto.

DE 18 16 888 U shows a canopy, with console and crossbar arrangements, the brackets carry perforations and thus a simple insertion of the crossbeams is made possible.

The object of the invention is to provide a canopy, which is inexpensive to manufacture in a stable and sustainable construction and also easy to assemble. The necessary items should, for example, on the hardware store can be prepared as a kit available, so that the attachment of such a canopy on the outside wall for a hobbyist is easy to accomplish.

To solve this problem, a canopy construction according to the invention is proposed in the
  • the brackets are formed as acute-angled triangles whose upper edges project at right angles from the wall,
  • in which the roof panel is connected to two transverse struts which can be fastened transversely on the retaining clips and whose upper edges (6) are arch-shaped,
  • in which the transverse strut connected on the wall side with the roof panel is slit from its lower edge at a distance and in the thickness of the retaining clip down to a remaining transverse web and with the slits formed thereby can be lowered from the upper edge of the retaining clip to the support on the transverse web,
  • in which the shortly before the end of the roof panel connected to this second cross member at the distance of the headband is provided with slots which are adapted in length and width to the cross section of the retaining bracket, in such a way
  • that the second cross member with their slots on the protruding, narrow end of the headband is pushed, while the first cross member with its slots is simultaneously displaceable over the upper edges of the headband to the stop of the rear edge of the plate against the wall.

Aussehen. The inventive design of the canopy by means of the transverse struts ensures that the roof struts built together with the cross struts can be easily pushed to their attachment to the headband and then secured by screws. In addition, the arcuate clamping of the roof panel on the cross struts of the entire canopy construction gives a much better stability and a visually appealing. Appearance.

The canopy shown in the figures consists essentially of a rectangular, round arch-shaped roof panel 1 and at least two anchored to the wall headband 2, which are formed as acute-angled triangles, the upper edges 3 of the headband 2 projecting at right angles from the wall.

The roof panel 1 is in this case connected to two transversely mounted on the brackets cross braces 4 and 5, the upper edges 6 are also arched like the roof panel 1 round arch.

The wall side connected to the roof panel 1- cross strut 4 is slotted from its lower edge 7 at a distance from the headband 2 from each other to a remaining cross bar 8. The slots formed thereby 9 are as wide as the thickness of the headband 2 and can be lowered from the top 3 of the headband 2 to rest on the cross bar 8.

The connected shortly before the end of the roof panel 1 with this second cross member 5 is also provided at a distance of the headband 2 with slots 10, which are adapted in length "I" and width "b" the cross section of the retaining clip 2. As a result, the second transverse strut 5 with its elongated holes 10 can be easily pushed onto the front, narrow end of the retaining clip 2, while the first cross strut 4 with its slots 9 simultaneously lowered over the upper edges 3 of the headband 2 and then over the cross bar 8 to Stop the rear plate edge can be moved to the wall.

For easier positioning of the cross braces 4 and 5 on the brackets 2 have this, as from FIGS. 5 and 7 can be seen, below the upper edges 3 vertically downwardly directed slots 11 for receiving parallel to the transverse struts 4 and 5 insertable stop plates 12th

To fix the canopy after installation of the transverse struts 4 and 5 on the stop plate 12, these are provided on both sides of the retaining clip 2 each with threaded holes 13, while the cross struts 4 and 5 have at the same points round holes 14 for inserting cap screws 15, which are screwed into the threaded holes 13 and then screwed tight.

In order to achieve a stable connection between the roof panel 1 and the cross struts 4 and 5, the roof panel 1 is fixed to the upper edges 6 of the cross struts 4 and 5 by pressing flexible retaining webs 16, which with the cross struts by means of an upwardly open- gutter 17 on following way are connectable:

At the free ends of the transverse struts 4 and 5 holding shells 18 are formed, in which the gutter 17 is laterally inserted. How out Fig. 9 and 11 it can be seen, holding shells 18 are here about circular cut out about 3/4 of the circumference, while the gutter 17 is formed in cross section also over ¾ of the circumference as a circular ring.

The free end of each holding shell 18 is integrally connected to a channel wall 20 filling the disc 21, which is recessed in the lower portion 19 for the water flow. This disc 21 has a directed towards the end of the retaining web 16 projection 22, while at the end of the flexible retaining web 16 a projection 22 corresponding recess 23 is provided, in which the projection 22 is pressed laterally for locking the retaining web 16.

The channel wall 20 fills the discs 21 are each provided with a central bore 24 and are held by a tube 25 at the same distance as the corresponding discs 21 on the other side of the roof panel 1. The spacer tubes 25 have at their two ends depending on a threaded sleeve 26th for screwing in screws 27. The heads 28 of the screws 27 are incorporated in cover caps 29, which in turn are supported on the end edges 30 of the channel wall 20.

Since the gutter 17 protrudes at its two ends on the holding shells 18 according to the length of the roof panel 1, between the cover 29 and the discs 21 of the holding shells 18 each have a further spacer tube 31 is arranged through which the screw 27 with its correspondingly extended shaft 32nd is passed through before it is screwed into the threaded sleeve 26.

To protect the eaves-side roof edge 34, a profile edge 33 with a U-shaped profile cross-section is formed on the fitting under the roof panel 1 end of the channel wall 20, which protrudes into the interior of the gutter 17 and the roof edge 34 includes on all sides.

How out FIG. 13 it can be seen that the features of the invention are applicable not only to a so-called arched canopy, but also to a self-supporting gable roof constructed according to the same principle, in which two rectangular roof panels 1 'are gable-shaped in relation to one another. These roof panels 1 'are located on two transverse struts 4' and 5 ', which can be fastened transversely to the mounting brackets 2, whose upper edges 6' are likewise gable-shaped in relation to one another.
