Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Kontaktkammer in dem Gehäuse einen Prüfschlitz aufweist, der einen Kontaktprüfstift aufnimmt, der zwecks Funktionsprüfung des Steckverbinders in die zumindest eine Kontaktkammer einsetzbar ist. Weiterhin erfolgt die Kontaktierung zwischen dem Kontaktprüfstift und dem Kontaktpartner nach wie vor auf der Kontaktstirnseite und damit nicht in der Kontaktierungszone, um dort Beschädigungen bei der Funktionsprüfung zu vermeiden. Allerdings ist es aufgrund des erfindungsgemäß vorhandenen Prüfschlitzes in der Kontaktkammer in dem Gehäuse nicht mehr erforderlich, dass der Kontaktprüfstift und der Kontaktpartner axial exakt zueinander ausgerichtet sind (d. h. heißt, dass vermieden werden kann, dass der Querschnitt des Kontaktpartners in dem Steckverbinder voll mit dem Querschnitt des Kontaktprüfstifts sich überdecken muss). Claims (5)

  1. Plug connector (1) having a housing (2) which is composed of plastic, wherein the housing (2) has at least one contact chamber (3) in which a contact partner, in particular a socket contact (4), is arranged, the said socket contact being inserted into the contact chamber (3) and being locked at least once, wherein the contact chamber (3) in the housing (2) has a test slot (6) which accommodates a contact test pin (5) which can be inserted into the at least one contact chamber (3) for the purpose of checking the functioning of the plug connector (1), characterized in that the test slot (6) is made in the contact chamber (3) on only one inner face and has a limited depth in the axial direction in the contact chamber (3), with the result that the contact test pin (5) makes contact with the contact partner in the test window when the said contact partner has assumed the correct position within the contact chamber (3), and contact is no longer made with the contact test pin (5) and the said contact test pin strikes the positioning surface in the test slot (6) when the contact partner is not in the correct position within the contact chamber (3).
  2. Plug connector (1) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the test slot (6) is made in the contact chamber on two inner faces.
  3. Plug connector (1) according to Claim 2, characterized in that the test slot (6) is arranged on two opposing inner faces of the contact chamber (3).
  4. Plug connector (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a contact partner has an associated contact test pin (5), wherein the contact test pin (5) is arranged in an adapter which can be operatively connected to the housing (2) for functional checking purposes.
  5. Plug connector (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the plug connector (1) has a plurality of contact partners, in particular in rows, wherein each contact partner can be operatively connected to in each case one contact test pin (5) for functional checking purposes.
