Abstract

The device has four lateral walls (3, 4, 5, 13) including lower parts (15-18), where each wall is perpendicular to two contiguous lateral walls. Each lower part of the wall is subjected to fold back towards an interior of the device, such that one of the folded lower parts serves as a support to a package e.g. bag-in-box (BIB)(RTM: Not defined). An independent claim is also included for a pre-cut blank for forming a rising device.

Description

The present invention relates to a booster made of semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard or similar material, which can serve as envelope or booster for packaging of type comprising a flexible bag for liquid, generally provided with a dispensing tap of liquid. Such packaging is generally called in English "bag-in-box ®" (for cash - in addition to French) or BIB; the English term is commonly used by those skilled in the art.

The invention more particularly relates to such an enhancer, which, when used as an envelope, protects the BIB, especially during its transportation, and which, when used as booster, allows to maintain the BIB in service position.

Ce n'est pas esthétique mais, surtout, ce n'est pas du tout pratique.BIB models available in the usual way on the market are all to ask and with tap down, imposing to withdraw the liquid, especially in a glass, to place the BIB on a support or cabinet edge. It is not aesthetic but, above all, it is not at all practical.

Recently, new improvements have tried to remedy this by proposing boosters with a function booster in service, or envelope or cover in transport. This is how patent applications FR-A1-2871448 and WO-A1-2005 / 019063 each propose a booster for BIB, said booster can be used as cover or envelope when the BIB is in the inverted position, for its transport. The BIB is of particular shape in both cases, ie cylindrical with circular or hexagonal base. In these two cases, the BIB is based on a slice of corrugated cardboard, slice which after a certain time of use of the BIB ends up impregnating small drops that can fall from the tap during the withdrawal of the liquid from the BIB. which weakens the mechanical resistance of the booster.

The patent application WO-A1-2004 / 108555 does not have this disadvantage, but proposes an envelope that can be used as booster seat, the envelope passing booster is somewhat complicated and integrated inside said envelope, which is impractical.

Le document FR-A1-2857943 divulgue un rehausseur selon le préambule de la revendication 1.The document FR-A1-2857943 discloses a booster according to the preamble of claim 1.

It is to remedy these difficulties that the Applicant has been led to design an enhancer for BIB which is easy to handle and which, during the use of the BIB it enhances, has at its base protection against splashing liquid taken from the BIB.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a booster able to maintain a package made of semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated board, of the type comprising a flexible bag, said package comprising four side walls, one of which is a front wall, each lateral walls being preferably perpendicular to the two adjacent side walls,
each lower part of the side wall being capable of being folded towards the inside of the packaging so that at least a part, preferably all, of these folded lower parts is able to serve as a support for said package.

The front wall is generally the preferred access wall of a user of said booster.

L'emballage est généralement un BIB.The packaging is usually a BIB.

Advantageously according to the invention, the back of the fold of the flap of the lower part is more resistant to the penetration of liquid by capillarity than a sharp edge.

Preferably according to the invention, each bottom part of the side wall capable of folding is articulated by a fold line to said side wall. In this case, preferably, each lower part of the side wall folds, independently or not from the other lower parts, towards the corresponding wall along a fold line, these flaps preferably being made in such a way that each of the fold lines is substantially parallel to the opposite fold line and that two adjacent fold lines are substantially perpendicular, the four edges defined by fold lines after flaps forming a base of said booster.

In a first embodiment of the invention, the set of lower end edges of the lower side wall portions is adapted to serve as a support to said package.

In a second embodiment of the invention, each of the lower parts of the side walls folds, independently or not from the other lower parts, towards the corresponding wall along a fold line, one of the said lower parts being intended to be fixed on another lower portion, preferably by inserting a stud portion into a cutout, said portion preferably being located adjacent a lower end edge of the lower portion, the cutout preferably being adjacent a edge forming the lower end of the other lower part, the set of complementary edges of the portion forming tenon and cutting and possibly lower end edges of the other lower side wall portions being adapted to serve as a support to said package.

In a third embodiment of the invention, each lower side wall part is articulated with the lower parts of the two adjacent side walls by a fold line, each of said lower parts further comprising two fold lines so as to form a portion of trapezoidal to triangular shape, preferably trapezoidal, whose base is the fold line between the lower side wall part and the corresponding side wall, said portions being adapted to be folded towards the corresponding side wall, forming a bellows, by flap lines folds lower portions of adjacent sidewalls, and then said portions.

Other embodiments of the invention are possible, and accessible to the skilled person, the flaps serving at least in part in all cases of "stop platform" or "cleat" to the packaging to be enhanced.

According to the invention, the booster can be such that one of its side walls is formed of two separate parts joined by any joining means such as gluing and / or stapling, for example of tongue and / or cover and / or any means of attachment.

The invention also relates to the use of a booster as described above to serve as an envelope for a package, preferably a BIB.

The invention also relates to the use of a booster as described above to enhance a package, preferably a BIB, the use being such that one folds the lower part or side wall of said package, then it has said package at least partly on said support formed by at least a portion, preferably all, of these lower parts folded.

Finally, the invention relates to a blank precut and repressed, semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard for the realization of a booster according to the invention as described above. Said booster is generally capable of being shaped, preferably by covering generally on one of its side walls, in particular by use of tongue, more preferably by overlap substantially in the middle of a side wall and substantially parallel to the fold lines between the side walls.

In these figures, the same reference numerals designate the same organs.

The figure 1 is a view of the blank 10 of a first booster 1 according to the third embodiment of the invention. This first booster 1 is represented on the Figures 2 and 3 , the figure 2 being a perspective bottom view of said first booster 1 ready to be used as a booster, and the figure 3 being a perspective top view of said first booster 1 ready to be used as a booster.

The booster 1 is semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard. It comprises four side walls 2a and 2b (two-part side wall), 3, 4 and 5, including a front wall 4, of particular shape for framing a valve of a type BIB packaging. Any other form of front wall is also conceivable according to the invention. Each of the side walls 2a and 2b, 3, 4 and 5 is perpendicular to the two adjoining side walls.

Each side wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 or 5 respectively has a lower part (7, 6), 8, 9 or 11. All the lower parts are bonded together, thus forming a kind of belt. Each lower part (7, 6), 8, 9 and 11 of side wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 comprises two fold lines, advantageously reinforced here by segments of perforation lines, so as to form a portion respectively (7a, 6a), 8a, 9a and 11a trapezoidal shape whose base is the fold line between the lower part (7, 6), 8, 9 and 11 side wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 and the side wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 corresponding, said portions (7a, 6a), 8a, 9a and 11a being adapted to be folded towards the side wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 corresponding, forming bellows. The lower parts 6 and 7 are intended to overlap at least partially, for the shaping of the booster 1.

Each of the lower portions (7, 6), 8, 9 and 11 of the side walls (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 folds on the corresponding wall along a fold line. In order, firstly, the portions 8a, 9a, 11a, and (6a, 7a) then the corners, formed of the parts 7b and 8c, 8b and 9c, 9b and 11c, 11b and (6c, 7c). . These flaps are made in such a way that each of the fold lines between a lower part (7, 6), 8, 9 and 11 of wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 and the wall (2a, 2b), 3, 4 and 5 corresponding is substantially parallel to the opposite fold line and two adjacent fold lines are substantially perpendicular, the edges defined by the fold lines after flaps forming a base of the booster 1. Advantageously according to this first booster according to l According to the invention, the base is formed of the four edges, and the bottom formed by the portions 8a, 9a, 11a, and (6a, 7a) is not in contact with a possible support plane on which the booster 1 can be placed. There was no need for cutting or notching the corners of the bottom, and maintaining the flaps is made towards the inside of the jointed belt and thus the booster 1, without additional effort or manipulation.

La hauteur de rehaussement est sensiblement égale à la hauteur l1 des parties inférieures (7, 6), 8, 9 et 11.According to the invention, a package can be placed on the support formed by the sharp edges of the lower parts (7, 6), 8, 9 and 11. The height of raising is substantially equal to the height l 1 of the lower parts (7, 6), 8, 9 and 11.

The figure 5 is a view of the blank 20 of a second booster 2 according to the second embodiment of the invention. This second booster 2 is represented on the Figures 4 and 6 , the figure 4 being a perspective bottom view of said second booster 2 ready for use as a booster seat, and the figure 6 being a perspective top view of said second booster 2 ready to be used as a booster.

The booster 2 is semi-rigid material such as cardboard or corrugated cardboard. It comprises four side walls 13, 3, 4 and 5, including a front wall 4, each of the side walls 13, 3, 4 and 5 being perpendicular to the two adjacent side walls.

Each side wall 13, 3, 4 and 5 respectively comprises a lower part 18, 15, 16 and 17. The side wall 13 further comprises articulated by a fold line parallel to the fold lines between two adjacent sidewalls, a tab 14 which, during the shaping of the booster 2 as shown in FIGS. Figures 4 and 6 , from the blank 20 of the figure 5 , is intended to be glued to fix the side wall 13 on the side wall 3.

The lower parts 15 and 17 are substantially of the same shape, height L 2 and larger than the lower parts 16 and 18 which are of the same shape and height l 2 . Each of the lower portions 15, 16, 17, 18 of the side walls 3, 4, 5, 13 folds, independently or not from the other lower parts, to the corresponding wall 3, 4, 5, 13 along a fold line. One of said lower parts, 15, is intended to be fixed on another lower part, 17, by insertion of a portion 15b forming a tenon in a cutout 17b, said portion 15b being situated in the vicinity of a ridge forming a lower end of the lower portion 15, and the cutout 17b being located in the vicinity of a lower end edge of the other lower portion 17. The set of ridges 15a and 17a, complementary to the portion 15b and cut 17b and edges 16a and 16b 18a forming the lower end of the other lower parts of the side walls is adapted to serve as a support for a package. It is also possible according to the invention that only the edges 15a and 17a are able to serve as a support for a package.

The figure 7 is a perspective view of a BIB type package 40. It is of substantially parallelepipedal shape, and has a lower part or bottom 40d, and an upper part 40c. It is intended to contain a flexible bag (not shown) containing liquid to be dispensed to a user. Two pre-cuts 40a and 40b are intended to comprise a valve coming from a flexible bag present in said package 4.

The figure 8 is a perspective view of the packaging 40 of the figure 7 and the second booster 2 of Figures 4 to 6 serving as an envelope to said package 40 in a simple transport position. The casing 2 has been slid to encase the package 40, and only the upper part 40c and the lower part 40d of the package 40 are distinguished. As a result, the casing 2 is advantageously able to protect the package 40 during his transport.

The figure 9 is a perspective view of the packaging 40 of the figure 7 and the second booster 2 of Figures 4 to 6 serving of envelope to said package 40 in an automatic positioning position of the booster 2. In this case, the booster 2 is clamped on the package 40, but the flaps 15, 16, 17 and 18 are already folded inwards booster 2.

La figure 10 est une vue en perspective de l'emballage 40 de la figure 7 et du deuxième rehausseur 2 des figures 4 à 6, servant de rehausseur audit emballage 40.The figure 10 is a perspective view of the packaging 40 of the figure 7 and the second booster 2 of Figures 4 to 6 , serving as a booster for said package 40.

Il est ainsi prêt à être utilisé, rehaussé par le rehausseur 2.Compared to the figure 8 , the booster 2 has been slid to disengage it from the package 40, the lower parts 16 and 18, then 17 and 15 of side walls have been folded down, by inserting the peg 15b into the cutout 17b. The booster 2 was placed on its base. The package 40 is placed on the support formed by the ridges 15a, 17a, 16a and 18a. It is thus ready to be used, enhanced by the booster 2.

L'utilisateur n'a plus alors qu'à effectuer la mise en forme automatique telle qu'explicitée ci-dessus, passant aisément de la réalisation de la figure 9 à la réalisation de la figure 10.Compared to the figure 9 , much more advantageously according to the invention, it was sufficient for the end user to maintain the booster 2 with one hand, to slide the package 40 upwards with the other hand until the flaps 15, 16, 17 and 18 are put in place automatically, by placement of the post 15b in the cutout 17, and the flaps 16 and 18 being locked on these flaps 15 and 17. This "automatic" embodiment of the booster advantageously allows a save time and ease of use compared to the prior art. The package 40 covered with its envelope 2 can be delivered to the user as presented on the figure 9 . The user then only has to perform the automatic formatting as explained above, easily moving from the realization of the figure 9 to the realization of the figure 10 .
