Claims (3)

  1. Hydroforming press for the production of shaped parts by forming under high internal pressure, with a press housing comprising an external pipe and an internal pipe, which are fitted into one another and connected to one another by shrinking, and also a die support unit, which is inserted into the internal pipe and comprises two approximately half shell-shaped die supports for a die formed by an upper die and a lower die, said die containing a forming chamber, to which a hydrostatic internal pressure can be applied to deform a workpiece into a shaped part, wherein at least one upper short-stroke cylinder is arranged between the upper die holder and the upper die and also at least one lower short-stroke cylinder is arranged between the lower die support and the lower die, and a pressure medium can be applied to said respective short-stroke cylinders with a plunger to close the dies during the forming process, characterised by at least one pressure pad (20), to which a pressure medium can be applied and which is arranged between the plunger (18) of the upper short-stroke cylinder (14) and the upper die (10), and also by at least one least one pressure pad (21), to which a pressure medium can be applied and which is arranged between the plunger (19) of the lower short-stroke cylinder (15) and the lower die (11), for compensation of the internal pressure of the forming chamber (12) acting on the plungers (18, 19) and also the upper and lower die (10, 11).
  2. Hydroforming press according to claim 1, characterised in that the pressure pads (20, 21) are integrated into the plungers (18, 19) of the upper and the lower short-stroke cylinder (14, 15) and/or into the upper die (10) and also the lower die (11).
  3. Hydroforming press according to claim 1 and 2, characterised by an ability to regulate the pressure of the pressure medium applied to the pressure pads (20, 21) in dependence on the internal pressure of the forming chamber (12).
