Abstract

Ventilating apparatus comprising connectors for ducts, where the connector (2) for exhaust air in the first end of the apparatus is in direct connection with a further connector (6) for exhaust air in the second end of the apparatus through the inner of the apparatus and that the connector (5) for outdoor air in the first end of the apparatus is in direct connection with a further connector (7) for outdoor air in the second end of the apparatus through the inner of the apparatus.

Description

  • The present invention concerns a ventilating apparatus.
  • Apparatuses of the mentioned type are mounted outside the room or rooms that shall be ventilated or the apparatuses are mounted within the room itself or in connection with the room. In both cases ducts may be drawn to the apparatuses for extract air, exhaust air, outdoor air and supply air respectively and many times ducts are drawn from different places to the apparatus and after that around the apparatus itself in order to be connected to an inlet of the apparatus.
  • Such a design leads to extra many and long ducts.
  • With the ventilating apparatus according to the present invention a substantial simplification of the mounting of ducts to the apparatus is achieved. This is achieved with the ventilating apparatus according to the present invention such as it is defined by the characteristics mentioned in the claims.
  • In the drawing figure 1 shows a sketch in principal of known designs, figure 2 shows the corresponding sketch in principal for the apparatus according to the invention, figure 3 shows an apparatus from above, figure 4 shows the apparatus in figure 3 seen from below, figure 5 shows a connection sleeve coupling and figure 6 shows a dead end cover.
  • The ventilating apparatus 1 according to the present invention in both ends of the apparatus 1 comprises duct connectors 2 and 6 respectively for exhaust air and duct connectors 5 and 7 respectively for outdoor air. This leads to the fact that the connection of the ducts may be done on that side of the apparatus 1 that is most suitable in relation to the duct extension. In the duct connectors that are used connection sleeve couplings 8 are inserted which connection sleeve couplings are mounted to the duct connectors with a bayonet grip. The duct connectors that are not used are closed with dead end covers 9 which in the same way are entered into the duct connectors in the ventilating apparatus and locked with a bayonet grip.
  • The ventilating apparatus 1 according to the present invention is delivered with duct connectors 2, 5, 6, 7 in both ends and connection sleeve couplings 8 are mounted in the connectors that are to be used for connection of ducts while other connectors are closed with dead end covers 9.
  • While it is possible to use duct connectors in both ends of the ventilating apparatuses 1, both up and down respectively, either up or down or both up and down, this leads to a substantial simplification of the duct extensions to and from the apparatus 1 since it is no longer necessary to draw ducts around the apparatus in order for them to reach and be connected to the right duct or sleeve coupling which is the case with the known designs.
  • The ventilating apparatus 1 may be produced as a standard and be ordered as such while the selection of duct connectors for connection sleeve couplings 8 or dead end covers 9 may be done on the building site. This leads to reduced production costs and logistics costs in total among other things due to fewer variants of apparatuses. Several duct pieces are also saved which gives lower costs for the duct system in total and later on a lower energy consumption during operation due to a shorter transport of the air.
  • With the ventilating apparatus according to the invention a shorter time for mounting is also achieved due to fewer duct pieces. The principle with a unity apparatus is withheld with the simplicity this involves.
  • The ventilating apparatus according to the invention may be freely mounted laterally or horizontally and both in warm and cold surroundings, for example on a wall, in cold attics or eventually be hanged in the ceiling.

Claims (2)

  1. Ventilating apparatus comprising connectors for ducts, characterized in that the connector (3) for exhaust air in the first end of the apparatus is in direct connection with a further connector (6) for exhaust air in the second end of the apparatus through the inner of the apparatus and that the connector (5) for outdoor air in the first end of the apparatus is in direct connection with a further connector (7) for outdoor air in the second end of the apparatus through the inner of the apparatus.
  2. Ventilating apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that two connection sleeve couplings (8) and two dead end covers (9) are delivered with the apparatus for connection of two ducts to two connectors and closing of two connectors.
