Description

The invention relates to a ring bandage with a wear-resistant surface for a press roll for the compressive stress of granular material, in particular for roller presses for Gutbettzerkleinerung. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing such a press roll ring bandage.

In roll mills, granular, brittle material to be ground is introduced into the nip, by which the two rotatably mounted counterrotatable rolls are separated from one another, where they are subjected to pressure comminution. Also known is the so-called Gutbettzerkleinerung in the nip of a high-pressure roller mill, also called roller press, in which the individual particles of the drawn by friction in the nip grinding material in a bed of good, d. H. be crushed each other in a compressed between the two roll surfaces bulk material when using a high pressure. The roll surfaces are exposed to a high level of wear, so that at least the following requirements are imposed on such roll surfaces:

They should have a high wear resistance, can be produced inexpensively, can be repaired by the operator of the roller press, and also have a good intake behavior for the material to be shredded.

From the essay of the journal " ZKG International "No. 7/1997, pages 384 to 392 it is known on page 384 paragraph 1 for wear protection in high-pressure roller presses that roll bandages made of chilled cast iron can be advantageous because of their high compressive strength and that can be achieved with bandages of alloyed nodular cast iron long life of the roller press, where in the material under the Term ductile iron Cast iron with nodular graphite understands. It is also known from the reprint from the journal "design + pour" 1988 No. 1 of the headquarters for casting use, Dusseldorf with the essay "cast iron with nodular graphite" (Ductile cast iron) pages 13-16 , To give the nodular cast iron by a special heat treatment, the so-called Bainitvergüten a high ductility and compressive strength.

From the EP-A 0 563 564 and EP-A 0 916 407 It is known to produce the chilled cast iron roll shell of a bainitic cast iron alloy grinding roll and to apply a surface profiling of hardfacing materials to increase the wear resistance and Mahlguteinzugsfähigkeit on the outer peripheral surface of the roll shell. Hardfacing beads are indeed able to contribute to improving the intake behavior of the feed material, but not for autogenous wear protection, because hardfacing beads with their typical rounded profile can not permanently hold the reaching into the spaces between the weld beads good material.

Finally it is off the EP-B 0 516 952 Fig. 2 Known to make the roller surface of roller presses wear-resistant by a variety of prefabricated hard metal bodies such. B. knob stud is arranged, which are incorporated in corresponding blind holes of the roll shell. In this so-called grid armor stand the stud bolts with such a large amount outwards from the roll surface and they are spaced apart such that, during operation of the roll press on the roll surface, the spaces between the stud bolts remain filled with the compressed fine-grained material forming autogenous wear protection for the roll surfaces and due to its roughness also has a good intake behavior. This known roll surface armor with alternately zones highly wear-resistant material and gap zones other wear resistance has been proven in the Gutbettzerkleinerung particular ore material in practice.

The invention has for its object to provide in particular for the press rolls of roller presses for crushing granular material a ring bandage whose outer surface always has a high wear resistance, without embedded carbide body such. B. need to apply powder-metallurgically produced stud bolts.

This object is achieved according to the invention with the claimed in claim 1 ring bandage, which is produced by the method with the features of claim 4. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.

Die erfindungsgemäße Ringbandage bildet also selbsthärtende Randschichten. The material of the ring bandage according to the invention for a press roll in particular for the comminution fine granular material consists of cast iron with nodular graphite bainitic structure with retained austenite, this material is adjusted in its property that it has such a ductility that the ring bandage whose wall thickness to may amount to about 500 mm, without risk of breakage on a roll body with shaft journals shrink down. Surprisingly, it has been shown that through external pressure load of the bandage surface of the casting material hardens on its surface and in its peripheral layers by formation of martensite. That is, in the ring bandage according to the invention the greatest hardness and wear resistance is substantially at the surface and in the edge layers of the bandage and not in the radially inner regions of the bandage. The hardness in the marginal layers of the bandage forms and renews itself during operation of the roll machine again and again until the bandage is consumed after a long service life to the structurally necessary residual wall thickness. The ring bandage according to the invention thus forms self-hardening surface layers.

In the outer surface of the annular bandage spaced-apart recesses are formed, for. B. molded during casting and / or formed by mechanical processing, in particular grooving, so that is pressed during operation of the rolling machine in the recesses of the profiled outer surface of the ring bandage to be treated Gutmaterial which remains there during the roller revolutions, forms an autogenous wear protection for the drum surfaces and due to its roughness also has a good intake behavior. In this case, lying between the spaced groove recesses profiling protrusions of the drum surface are still armored by existing hard material surfacing worms. This additional armor of the ring bandage according to the invention creates no problems, since the welding stresses arising during buildup welding are almost neutralized by the dimensioning and geometric distribution of the material bumps between the spaced grooves and thus the cracking of the annular bandage material is avoided by welding in this way.

The method for producing a press roller ring bandage for the compressive stress granular material especially for roller presses for Gutbettzerkleinerung is according to the invention is characterized in that the annular bandage is cast first of nodular cast iron with at least the alloying elements Ni and Mo while avoiding a pearlitic structure and by a subsequent heat treatment and subsequent controlled cooling of the cast body is given a bainitic structure with retained austenite, wherein pressure exerted by the outer surface of the annular bandage in their operation whose outer surface layers are cured again and again to form martensite. The shaping of the surface profiling of the ring bandage is accomplished in particular by grooving.

The invention and its further features and advantages will be explained in more detail with reference to the embodiment schematically illustrated in the drawing.

It shows:

the view of a press roll shaft of a Gutbettzerkleinerungs roller press with shrunk ring bandage drawn in section, and
Fig. 2:
an outer section of the circumference of the ring bandage the Fig. 1 shown in vertical section transverse to the roll axis.

To Fig. 1 is on a roller body 8 with shaft journals 9a, 9b a ring bandage 10 with a wall thickness of z. B. 170 mm to 500 mm attached, in particular by shrinking.

The material of the bandage 10 consists of nodular cast iron with bainitic structure with retained austenite. In the surface layer 11 of the annular bandage 10, the roll surface contains high martensite portions, which are formed again and again by external pressure loading of the bandage surface, in particular during operation of the press roll. The occurring in the Gutbettzerkleinerung in the nip of a roller press pressure can, for. B. greater than 100 MPa and the specific pressing force z. B. 8 to 10 t / cm roll width. The hardness of the ring bandage according to the invention can, for. B. be about 40 HRC. The hardness and wear resistance form and renew during operation of the press roll over and over again until after a long life, the ring bandage is consumed.

According to the drawing embodiment of Fig. 2 are recesses formed in the outer surface of the annular band 10, 11 spaced apart grooves, namely grooves 12, 13, which may be formed by casting, but are made in particular by mechanical processing such as grooving. In this case, lying between the spaced recesses 12, 13 Profilierungsvorsprünge the bandage surface can still be armored by hard-facing welding beads 14 or by other hard materials.

During operation of the roller press during the comminution in the recesses 12, 13 with a groove width of z. B. 10 to 15 mm pressed material forms an autogenous wear protection, whereby the already high wear resistance of the surface of the ring bandage 10 according to the invention is still increased.
