Description
The invention relates to a roller for a roller press for the high-pressure treatment of granular regrind, comprising at least one shaft, a roller base body, a roller surface and a wear layer for wear protection for the roller surface.
As part of roller presses (high-pressure roller presses, high-quality roller grinding mills or English High Pressure Grinding Roller Presses) rollers are used for the comminution of granular grinding material such as cement clinker. The millbase is drawn into the nip between two counter-rotating rollers and crushed under high pressure in the nip. Even though this comminution, while largely avoiding shear forces, is mainly a consequence of compressive compressive stress, the rollers are subject to high mechanical stress. Above all, scratches and micro-machining by the brittle regrind lead to abrasive wear of the surface and outer layers of the roller. Costly repairs or even roller replacement and shortened service life of the roller press are the result, if no measures for wear protection are taken.

The object of the invention is therefore to propose a roller for a roller press for high-pressure treatment granular millbase whose surface is largely protected by a low in terms of investment and maintenance costs wear protection against wear.
The object of the invention is achieved by a roller for a roller press for high-pressure treatment of granular ground material having the features of
According to the invention, it is provided to protect the roll surface and outer regions of the roll from wear by wear during the grinding process by applying a wear layer to the roll surface. It is proposed that the wear layer consists of a casting compound which is resistant to wear. It encloses the roller along its circumference and the entire, defined by the axis of rotation of the roller longitudinal extent of the roller. The wear layer can be in a relatively simple and not very expensive operation are applied by the roll placed in a corresponding shape and the casting material is poured into the gap between the mold and roll surface. As wear layer is, in one embodiment of the invention, for example, a Kleberverbundgießmasse in question. This consists of a suitable adhesive and a wear-resistant, but inexpensive material, eg. B. carbide split. In contrast to the techniques described above, the hard metal split does not need to be brought into a specific shape, such as pin shape, nor be applied in complex operations as a variety of individual workpieces on the roll surface as a kind of grid armor. The hard metal split or generally the casting material is made of wear-resistant material to which the requirements do not need to be made, as to correspondingly high-priced highly wear-resistant material.
The wear protection for the roll surface is primarily not caused by the formation of an autogenous wear protection layer of adhering, comminuted material to be ground, but in that the roller does not come into direct contact with the brittle material to be ground due to the additional wear layer. The wear layer, such as the Kleberverbundgießmasse will wear over a longer period of service life and decrease in thickness. Local damage in the form of holes can be repaired by thermal and / or mechanical processing. With complete removal of the wear layer due to wear a renewal is provided by reapplication of the wear protection layer and comparatively easy possible.
For a strong adhesion of the wear layer of wear-resistant material, the casting compound (possibly even without adhesive composite) in an embodiment of the invention may be non-positively connected by mechanical pressing or by thermal shrinking with the roller. The person skilled in the art will select the method of fastening as a function of the material properties of the casting compound which are present. In the case of thermal shrinkage, the effect of volume reduction of a heated and now cooling mass is utilized, which is arranged in a cylindrical shape around the roller.
In one embodiment of the invention, it is provided to provide the surface of the wear layer, for example, already during the casting process in the form with a profile. Profiles on roll surfaces basically contribute to an improved intake of the millbase into the nip of roller presses. At least partially and over shorter periods of time, with suitable profiling by adhesion of finely ground material, autogenous wear protection layers can additionally form thereon.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided to provide a bandage between the roller base body and the wear layer. Such, for example, by thermal shrinkage attached to the roll body and this sheathing bandage made of very wear-resistant steel can carry a profiling to increase the adhesion of the wear layer on the bandage or, in another embodiment of the invention, be provided with highly wear resistant hard bodies over the surface of the Bandage protrude like an igel. Considering the casting compound provided on the bandage, the roll in this case therefore has the functional structure known from the prior art and described at the outset. In the case of complete removal of the casting material, d. H. The wear layer, due to wear after a certain period of time, due to the bandage, therefore does not directly lead to a special abrasive stress on the roller body and also to a negatively changed intake behavior of the mill base into the nip of the roller press, so that the operation of the press would have to be stopped , Rather, the roller can continue to be operated problem-free even in this state until an operationally suitable time for the renewed application of a next wearing layer is given.
In a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided to provide the roll surface with a profile prior to the application of the casting compound of the wearing layer. If the surface of the roller, i. H. the roller body or, if provided, the bandage, by mechanical or thermal action with a suitable, for. B. waffle pattern-like profile provided so improves the adhesion of the wear-resistant casting. The life of the wear layer is increased. Such profiling can be produced with relatively little effort even when retrofitting existing roller presses with wear layers according to the invention on the rollers.
The optimum thickness of the wear layer is dependent in each case on the dimension of the roller or the nip of the roller press and the abrasive properties of the respective granular material to be ground in the good bed. At the bottom, the value is limited by the fact that the wear layer must not be removed too quickly, since this would unfavorably increase the downtime of the press or plant due to frequent maintenance work to renew the wear layer. On the other hand, too large values for the thickness of the wear layer (besides the cost disadvantage) involve the risk that the layer loses adhesion to the roll surface or is subject to inhomogeneous stresses. For the typical case of a roller press (high-pressure roller press), which is used in the cement production for the comminution of cement clinker, is provided in a particular embodiment of the invention, for the wear layer on the rollers used here a constant over the roller (initial) value for the thickness to be provided, which is between 2 cm and 20 cm, but preferably between 3 cm and 10 cm. This also applies correspondingly to rolls which grind granular ground stock which, with regard to its mechanical abrasive properties, is comparable to the properties of cement clinker in comminuted bedding.
For the production of the wear layer, it is the simplest case, not only along the circumference of the roller, but also in the longitudinal axis of the roller defined by the axis of rotation a uniform, d. H. provide constant layer thickness of the wear layer. However, in practice, in particular in cement production, it is known that the feed of the millbase into the nip of a roller press generally leads to an unequal distribution of the millbase along the nip. This results in a corresponding variation in the wear of the roll surface in the longitudinal direction result. An embodiment of the invention therefore provides, the wear layer in the longitudinal direction with a different, d. H. to design varying thickness. The value distribution of the layer thickness function along the longitudinal direction is to be carried out so that the layer thickness is greater in regions of heavy load by feed material than the other regions of the roller. In a further, special embodiment of the invention it is provided that the wear layer has a greater thickness in the center of the roll (referred to the longitudinal direction) than in the two edge zones of the roll. Especially in the supply of cement clinker through a feed slot to the nip of roller presses namely the distribution of the ground material is given so that more material is drawn into the gap in the middle, as in the edge regions.
