Abstract
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von Effektpigmenten auf Basis plättchenförmiger Substrate zur Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln.

Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von Effektpigmenten auf Basis plättchenförmiger Substrate zur Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tier- arzneimitteln.
Neben den funktionellen Anwendungen werden Effektpigmente auch immer mehr zur optischen Aufwertung von Produkten eingesetzt. Die Verwendung von Perlglanz- bzw. Interferenzpigmenten zur Farbgebung von Produkten aus dem Lebensmittel- und Pharmabereich ist aus der WO 00/03609 und WO 03/063616 bekannt. Die Verwendung von TiO2 / Glimmer-Pigmenten in Fischfutter ist in der WO 98/56261 offenbart. Effektpigmente, sofern sie unter den entsprechenden strengen Reinheits¬ und Qualitätsbestimmungen hergestellt werden, sollten auch im Futter- mittelbereich zur Verbesserung der Visualisierung und Differenzierung von Futtermitteln einsetzbar sein.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Steigerung der Futtermenge durch Erhöhung der visuellen Attraktivität des Futters für die Tiere. Durch die verbesserte Futteraufnahme kommt es zu einer verbesserten
Futterverwertung durch die Tiere. Hierdurch wird auch die Menge an unverwerteten Futtermittelresten deutlich verringert. Solche Futter¬ mittelreste können sich negativ in Form einer erhöhten Keim- und Rückstandsbelastung im Futterbereich bzw. -gewässer auswirken. Ebenfalls sind damit erhöhte Kosten zur Reinigung und zur Abwasser¬ behandlung verbunden.
Überraschenderweise wurde nun gefunden, dass die Aufnahme der Futtermenge bei Tieren gesteigert werden kann, wenn den Futtermitteln Effektpigmente zugemischt werden. Durch die Erhöhung der visuellen Attraktivität der Futtermittel ist weiterhin eine leichtere Erkennung des Futters durch die Tiere möglich. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist, dass durch die Einfärbung eine bessere Visualisierung bzw. Differenzierung von Futter¬ mitteln mit unterschiedlichen Wirkstoffbeimischungen (z.B. Vitamine, Enzyme, Spurenelemente, essentielle Fette und / oder Mineralien) für den Tierhalter möglich ist. Hierdurch verringern sich die Risiken, welche aus
Verwechslung bzw. Überdosierung der einzelnen Futtermittel herrühren. Ebenfalls ist diese Methode sehr gut zur visuellen Unterscheidung bzw. Kenntlichmachung von Tierarzneimitteln geeignet.
Diese Erhöhung der visuellen Attraktivität durch Effektpigmente ist auch für sogenannte Anlock-, Köder- und Anfütterungsfuttermittel, wie z.B. Angler¬ futter mit Erfolg anwendbar, da das Tier das so gefärbte Anlockfutter bzw. den Köder besser wahrnimmt.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist somit die Verwendung von Effektpigmenten in Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln.
Alle zur Färbung geeigneten Futtermittel und Tierarzneimittel können mit Effektpigmenten optisch aufgewertet werden. Die Futtermittel können in allen Darreichungsformen, wie z.B. als Pulver, Körner, Pellets, Extrudate, Komprimate, Exponate, Granulate, in flüssiger Form, etc., vorliegen. Bevorzugte Futtermittel sind solche, die oral verabreicht werden.
Die eingefärbten Tierarzneimittel können sowohl als Pulver oder in kompakter Form, z.B. Tabletten, Dragees, Gelatinekapseln, Zäpfchen, oder in flüssiger Form, z.B. Hustensaft, verabreicht werden.
Die zu färbenden Futtermittel können weiterhin aus allen Futterbereichen stammen, wie z.B. Fischfutter, Petfood, Mastfutter, Kraftfutter, Vogel- bzw. Geflügelfutter, Hunde- und Katzenfutter, Köder- und Anlockfutter, etc. Die zu färbenden Futtermittel können sowohl tierischen als auch pflanzlichen Ursprungs sein. Mit einem geeigneten Überzugsmittel können beispiels¬ weise Kömer, Saaten oder andere gewachsene Futtermittel auf der Oberfläche mit Effektpigmenten eingefärbt werden.
Geeignete Effektpigmente sind insbesondere solche, die auf plättchen- förmigen Substraten, die mit einer oder mehreren Schichten von Metall¬ oxiden belegt sind, basieren. Besonders bevorzugte Metalloxide sind TiO2, Fe2O3 und Fe3O4, ferner BiOCI, SiO2 und AI2O3. Insbesondere die Kombi- nation von Effektpigmenten mit TiO2- und/oder Fe3O4-Schichten mit natür¬ lichen bzw. naturidentischen Farbstoffen, Farbpigmenten oder färbenden
Frucht- und Pflanzenextrakten, FD&C- und D&C-Farbmitteln, verhelfen den Futtermitteln zu einer erhöhten visuellen Attraktivität für die Tiere.
Im Gegensatz zu Farbpigmenten, die im Tierfutterbereich zugelassen sind, z. B. reines Titandioxid E171 , lassen sich die Effektpigmente auf Basis plättchenförmiger Substrate sehr leicht in das zu pigmentierende Medium dispergieren. Weiterhin zeichnen sich die so eingefärbten Futtermittel durch einen erhöhten Licht- und Feuchtigkeitsschutz aus. Insbesondere Vitaminpräparate sind länger haltbar.
Es zeigt sich, dass den Futtermitteln und den Tierarzneimitteln bereits mit sehr geringen Mengen an Effektpigmenten neue interessante Farbtöne und gleichzeitig neue Eigenschaften verliehen werden können. Hervorragende Ergebnisse erzielt man schon bei der Einfärbung des Produkts mit 0,01 bis 50,0 Gew.%, vorzugsweise 0,05 bis 40 Gew.%, insbesondere 0,1 bis 30 Gew.%, an Effektpigment bezogen auf das Futtermittel bzw. Tierarzneimittel.
In dem Fall, dass dem Futtermittel bzw. Tierarzneimittel das Effektpigment bei der Herstellung direkt beigemischt wird, beträgt die Einsatzmenge an Effektpigment vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 30 Gew.%, insbesondere 1 bis 20 Gew.% und ganz besonders bevorzugt bei 3 bis 10 Gew.%. Bei der Oberflächenbehandlung von Futtermitteln liegt der Einsatzbereich bei 0,1 bis 25 Gew.%, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 20 Gew.%, insbesondere 1 bis 15 Gew.%, bezogen auf die Färb- bzw. Überzugslösung. Dem Futtermittel bzw. Tierarzneimittel kann auch ein Gemisch aus unterschiedlichen Effektpigmenten zugegeben werden.
Geeignete Effektpigmente sind sowohl Pigmente, die nur mit einer Metalloxidschicht belegt sind, als auch Pigmente, deren Substrate mehrere (zwei oder mehr) Schichten aufweisen
Geeignete Basissubstrate für die erfindungsgemäßen Effektpigmente sind transparente oder semitransparente plättchenförmige Substrate. Bevorzugte Substrate sind Schichtsilikate. Insbesondere geeignet sind natürlicher und/oder synthetischer Glimmer, Talkum, Kaolin, plättchen-

förmige Eisen- oder Aluminiumoxide, Glas-, SiO2-, TiO2-, plättchenförmige Mischoxide, wie z. B. FeTiO3, Fe2TiO5, Graphitplättchen oder andere vergleichbare Materialien, abhängig von der jeweiligen gesetzlichen Zulässigkeit für die Verwendung im Tierfutter bzw. in Tierarzneimitteln.
Die Größe der Basissubstrate kann auf den jeweiligen Anwendungszweck abgestimmt werden. In der Regel ergeben größere Substrate einen verbesserten Glitzereffekt und damit einhergehend eine bessere Visualisierung bei den zu fütternden Tieren. In der Regel haben die plättchenförmigen Substrate eine Dicke zwischen 0,005 und 10 μm, insbe¬ sondere zwischen 0,05 und 5 μm. Die Ausdehnung in den beiden anderen Bereichen beträgt üblicherweise zwischen 1 und 600 μm, vorzugsweise zwischen 2 und 400 μm, und insbesondere zwischen 5 und 150 μm.
Bei der Belegung der Basissubstrate mit nur einer Metalloxidschicht beträgt die Dicke der Schicht vorzugsweise 5 - 500 nm, insbesondere 20 - 450 nm und ganz besonders bevorzugt 40 - 350 nm. Bei den Mehrschicht¬ pigmenten, die vorzugsweise zwei, drei, fünf oder sieben Schichten enthalten, sollte die Gesamtschichtdicke 1000 nm nicht übersteigen.
Geeignete Effektpigmente mit einer Schicht sind vorzugsweise Glimmer-, Glas-, AI2O3-Plättchen, die mit TiO2, Fe2O3, Fe3O4 oder einem Gemisch aus TiO2/Fe2O3-beschichtet sind. Besonders bevorzugt sind Effekt¬ pigmente auf Basis von Glimmer, die mit TiO2, Fe2O3 oder Fe3O4 beschichtet sind. Das TiO2 kann sowohl in der Anatas- als auch in der Rutilmodifikation vorliegen.
Geeignete Mehrschichtpigmente sind insbesondere Pigmente auf Basis von mehrfach beschichteten Substraten, die sich häufig dadurch auszeichnen, dass sie alternierend eine hoch- und eine niedrigbrechende Metalloxidschicht aufweisen.
Insbesondere geeignet sind Mehrschichtpigmente auf Basis von mehrfach beschichteten plättchenförmigen Substraten, die mindestens eine Schichtenfolge (A) (B) (A) enthalten, wobei
(A) eine hochbrechende Beschichtung bestehend aus Titandioxid und/oder Eisenoxid, vorzugsweise Fe2O3, und
(B) eine niedrigbrechende Beschichtung mit einem Brechungsindex n < 1 ,8, vorzugsweise aus SiO2 und/oder AI2O3
ist.
Die Dicke der einzelnen Schichten (A) und (B) mit hohem bzw. niedrigem Brechungsindex auf dem Basissubstrat ist wesentlich für die optischen
Eigenschaften des Pigments. Für das Mehrschichtpigment mit intensivem Glanzeffekt muss die Dicke der einzelnen Schichten genau aufeinander eingestellt werden.
Die Dicke der Schicht (A) beträgt in der Regel 10 - 500 nm, vorzugsweise 20 - 400 nm, insbesondere 30 - 350 nm. Die Dicke der Schicht (B) beträgt in der Regel 10 - 500 nm, vorzugsweise 20 - 400 nm, insbesondere 30 - 350 nm.
Die Pigmente können mehrere, gleiche oder verschiedene Kombinationen an Schichtpaketen enthalten, bevorzugt ist aber die Belegung des Sub¬ strats mit nur einem Schichtpaket (A) (B) (A). Zur Intensivierung der Farb¬ stärke kann das erfindungsgemäße Pigment bis zu 4 Schichtpakete enthal¬ ten, wobei die Dicke aller Schichten auf dem Substrat 3 μm allerdings nicht überschreiten sollte. Vorzugsweise wird eine ungerade Anzahl von Schich¬ ten auf das plättchenförmige Substrat aufgebracht mit je einer hoch¬ brechenden Schicht in innerster und äußerster Lage. Besonders bevorzugt ist ein Aufbau von drei optischen Interferenzschichten in der Reihenfolge (A) (B) (A). Als hochbrechende Schicht kommt vorzugsweise eine Schicht aus TiO2, Fe2O3 und/oder Fe3O4 in Frage. Das TiO2 kann dabei in der Rutil- oder in der Anatasmodifikation vorliegen.
Als farblose niedrigbrechende für die Beschichtung (B) geeignete Materia¬ lien sind vorzugsweise Metalloxide bzw. die entsprechenden Oxidhydrate, wie z. B. SiO2, AI2O3, AIO(OH), B2O3, MgF2, MgSiO3 oder ein Gemisch der genannten Metalloxide, geeignet entsprechend den gesetzlichen Zu-
lassungen zur Verwendung bei Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln. Bei der Schicht (B) handelt es sich insbesondere um eine Siθ2-Schicht.
Die bekannten Mehrschichtpigmente lassen sich relativ leicht herstellen durch die Erzeugung mehrerer hoch- und niedrigbrechender Interferenz¬ schichten mit genau definierter Dicke und glatter Oberfläche auf den feinteiligen, plättchenförmigen Substraten.
Die Metalloxidschichten werden vorzugsweise nasschemisch auf das zu beschichtende Substrat aufgebracht, wobei die zur Herstellung von
Perlglanzpigmenten entwickelten nasschemischen Beschichtungs- verfahren angewendet werden können. Derartige Verfahren sind z. B. beschrieben in DE 14 67 468, DE 19 59 988, DE 20 09 566, DE 22 14 545,
DE 22 15 191 , DE 22 44 298, DE 23 13 331 , DE 25 22 572, DE 31 37 808, DE 31 37 809, DE 31 51 343, DE 31 51 354, DE 31 51 355, DE 32 11 602,
DE 32 35 017 oder auch in weiteren dem Fachmann bekannten
Patentdokumenten und sonstigen Publikationen.
Weiterhin kann die Beschichtung auch in einem Wirbelbettreaktor durch Gasphasenbeschichtung erfolgen, wobei z. B. die in EP 0 045 851 und EP 0 106 235 zur Herstellung von Perlglanzpigmenten vorgeschlagenen Verfahren entsprechend angewendet werden können.
Der Farbton der Effektpigmente kann in sehr weiten Grenzen durch unterschiedliche Wahl der Belegungsmengen bzw. der daraus resultieren¬ den Schichtdicken variiert werden. Die Feinabstimmung für einen bestimm¬ ten Farbton kann über die reine Mengenwahl hinaus durch visuell oder messtechnisch kontrolliertes Anfahren der gewünschten Farbe erreicht werden.
Besonders bevorzugte Effektpigmente für Futtermittel bzw. Tierarzneimittel besitzen folgenden Schichtaufbau:

Insbesondere basieren die oben genannten Effektpigmente auf Glimmerplättchen, ferner auf Glas-, SiO2- oder AI2O3-Plättchen.
Bei den verwendeten Effektpigmenten handelt es sich vorzugsweise um mit Fe2O3, Magnetit und/oder TiO2 beschichtete natürliche oder synthetische Glimmerplättchen.
Bei den besonders bevorzugten Effektpigmenten handelt es sich um Glimmerplättchen, die mit TiO2, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, TiO2/Fe2O3 oder TiO2/Fe3O4 belegt sind. Durch die Zumischung von für den Futtermittelbereich zugelassenen, natürlichen bzw. naturidentischen Farbstoffen, organischen oder anorganischen Farbpigmenten oder färbenden natürlichen Frucht- und Pflanzenextrakten kann der Farbeffekt der Effektpigmente im Erzeugnis beeinflußt und gleichzeitig können neuartige changierende Farbeffekte erzielt werden.
Neben den Effektpigmenten können als weitere farbgebende Komponente dem Futtermittel bzw. Tierarzneimittel alle dem Fachmann bekannten natürlichen oder naturidentischen Farbstoffe beigemischt werden. Insbe¬ sondere sind hier zu erwähnen E 101 , E 104, E 110, E 124, E 131 , E 132, E 140, E 141 , E 151 , E 160a. Weiterhin können auch andere Farbpigmente
den plättchenförmigen Effektpigmenten beigemischt werden, wie z.B. E 171 , E 172, E 153.
Der Anteil an Farbstoffen neben den Effektpigmenten bezogen auf das Futtermittel liegt vorzugsweise im Bereich von 0,5 bis 25 Gew.%. Als
Farbstoff können ebenfalls Frucht- und Pflanzenextrakte eingesetzt werden, wie z.B. Möhrensaft, Rote Beete-Saft, Holundersaft, Hibiskussaft, Paprikaextrakt, Aroniaextrakt.
Die für den Futtermittelbereich und für die Tierarzneimittel zugelassenen Effektpigmente sind im Handel erhältlich, beispielsweise unter der Marke Candurin® von der Fa. Merck KGaA.
Die Gesamtkonzentration aller Pigmente im zu pigmentierenden Erzeugnis sollte 50 Gew.% bezogen auf das Erzeugnis nicht übersteigen. Sie ist in der Regel abhängig vom konkreten Anwendungsfall.
Den Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln können auch unterschiedliche Wirkstoffbeimischungen, wie z.B. Vitamine, Enzyme, Spurenelemente, Proteine, Kohlenhydrate, essentielle Fette und / oder Mineralien zugesetzt werden, wobei die Gesamtmenge an Wirkstoffen bezogen auf das Futtermittel oder das Tierarzneimittel 25 Gew.% nicht übersteigen sollte. Vorzugsweise beträgt die Menge an Wirkstoffen bzw. Wirkstoffgemischen 0,01 - 20 Gew.%.
Die Einfärbung der Produkte erfolgt, indem das Effektpigment bzw. Effektpigmentgemisch allein oder in Kombination mit weiteren Pigmenten oder Färbemitteln direkt oder in Gegenwart von Wasser und/oder eines organischen Lösungsmittels in den gewünschten Mengenverhältnissen, gleichzeitig oder nacheinander, während oder nach ihrer Herstellung, vor oder nach der Formgebung (z.B. bei Extrusion, Pelletierung, Expondierung, Granulation, etc.) dem einzufärbenden Erzeugnis zugegeben wird. Eine Zumischung der Effektpigmente zu pulverförmigen bzw. losen Futtermittelmischungen ist ebenfalls möglich.
Die Effektpigmente können auch zur Färbung der Futtermittel bzw. Tierarzneimittel nach der Formgebung auf die Oberfläche appliziert werden. Hierbei wird das Effektpigment in der Regel mit einem Auftrags¬ medium vermischt und anschließend mit geeigneten Auftrags- und Sprüh- Vorrichtungen auf das Produkt aufgetragen. Das Auftrags- bzw.
Überzugsmittel sorgt dann für die entsprechende Anhaftung der Pigmente auf der Produktoberfläche. Diese wird dann entsprechend gefärbt.
Bei der Einarbeitung in die Produktmatrix selbst, liegt die Einsatzmenge der Effektpigmente vorzugsweise bei 0,5 - 40 Gew.%, insbesondere bei 1 - 30 Gew.%. Bei der Oberflächenfärbung von Futtermitteln bzw. Tierarznei¬ präparaten liegt der Einsatzbereich in der verwendeten Färb- bzw. Überzugslösung bei 0,1 - 25 Gew.%, insbesondere bei 1 - 15 Gew. %. Bei der Verwendung der Effektpigmente in pulverförmigen Produkten liegt der Einsatzbereich bei 0,05 - 50 Gew. %, insbesondere bei 2 - 10 Gew.%.
Die Überzugslösungen enthalten vorzugsweise Wasser oder organische Lösemittel, wie z.B. Ethanol oder Isopropanol. Als Filmbildner wird in den Überzugslösungen vorzugsweise ein Cellulosederivat, wie z.B. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, eingesetzt. Insbesondere bevorzugt sind Auftragslösungen mit Cellulosederivaten, die statt Wasser 5 - 80 Gew. % eines geeigneten organischen Lösemittels enthalten.
Gegenüber wässrigen Überzugslösungen besitzen die alkoholischen, bzw. alkoholisch-wäßrigen, Cellulose-haltigen Auftragslösungen deutliche anwendungstechnische Vorteile:
Einsatz von kühlerer Trocknungsluft während des Sprühauftrags Färbung von wärmeempfindlichen Produkten, wie z.B. vitaminhaltigen Futtermitteln, mit Effektpigmenten ist sehr gut möglich.
Als zur Einfärbung geeignete Produkte sind weiterhin insbesondere zu nennen Überzüge auf allen Arten von Futtermitteln, insbesondere pigmentierte Zucker- und Schellacküberzüge (alkoholische und wässrige), Überzüge mit Ölen, Fetten, Stärken und Wachsen, mit Gummi Arabicum, mit Cellulosederivaten (z.B. HPMC = Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose), mit
Stärke- und Eiweißderivaten, Carragenen und sonstigen dem Fachmann bekannten zum Überziehen geeigneten Substanzen. Hierbei wird das Effektpigment in der Regel mit dem Auftragsmedium vermischt und anschließend mit geeigneten Auftrags- und Sprühvorrichtungen, oder per Hand auf dem Futtermittelprodukt aufgetragen. Das Auftrags- bzw.
Überzugsmittel sorgt dann für die entsprechende Anhaltung der Pigmente auf der Oberfläche des Futtermittels bzw. Tierarzneimittels. Diese wird dann entsprechend gefärbt.
Die Auftrags- und Überzugslösungen enthalten vorzugsweise 0,1 - 20 Gew.%, insbesondere 2-15 Gew.% an Effektpigmenten.
Bevorzugte Trockenpulvermischungen für Coatings enthalten ein Cellulosederivat, wie z.B. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Natrium- carboxymethylcellulose, ein Trennmittel, wie z.B. Lecithin oder
Stearinsäure, einen Glanzverstärker, wie z.B. Maltodextrin und/oder Dextrose, und ein Effektpigment oder Effektpigmentgemisch. Vorzugsweise enthalten derartige Trockenpulvermischungen das Effektpigment in Mengen von 0,01 - 50 Gew.%, insbesondere 0,5 - 40 Gew.% bezogen auf die Pulvermischung. Diesen Trockenpulver¬ mischungen können je nach Bedarf noch Farbstoffe, Geschmackstoffe, Vitamine, Süßstoffe, etc., zugesetzt werden.
Bei dragierten bzw. gecoateten Futtermitteln bzw. Tierarzneimitteln ist die Kombination der Effektpigmente mit Aromastoffen (Pulver- bzw.
Flüssigaromen), Säuren und/oder mit Süßstoffen, wie z.B. Aspartam, möglich um den optischen Effekt auch geschmacklich zu betonen.
Gegenstand der Erfindung sind somit alle Formulierungen aus dem Futtermittel- und Tierarzneimittelbereich enthaltend ein oder mehrere Effektpigmente allein oder in Kombination mit weiteren Pigmenten/Pigmentgemischen oder Farbstoffen (natürliche bzw. naturidentische) als Färbemittel.
Die nachfolgenden Beispiele sollen die Erfindung erläutern ohne sie jedoch zu begrenzen.
Anwendungsbeispiele:
Beispiel 1 : Pelletierung von Schweinemastfutter
Futtermittelmischung: Endmastfutter für Schweine Ausgangsschüttgewicht
0,61 kg/dm3, Ausgangsfeuchte 8,62 %
Presse: Kahl Laborpresse 14-175
Kollerzahl: 2 Drehzahl: 112 U/min
Kollergeschwindigkeit: 0,73 m/s
Matrize: Durchmesser 175*27*3.0 mm

=> leichter silbriger Glitzer-Effekt auf den Pelletoberflächen erkennbar
Beispiel 2: Färbung von Fischfutterextrudaten
Zu färbendes Ausgangsmaterial:
Handelsübliches extrudiertes Fischfutter, Korngröße 4*4 mm, Ausgangsschüttgewicht: 0,46 kg/dm3, Ausgangsfeuchte: 4,2 %
Coating System: Totospray der Firma Kahl Durchsatz Fischfutter: 900 kg/h Durchsatz Auftragssuspension: 9,0 kg/h Sprührate: 1 ,0 %
Drehzahl Zerstäuber: 6000 U/min Aufsprühdauer: 3 min
Herstellung der Auftragssuspension:
91 % Wasser 5 % Sepifilm 050 Seppic SA 4 % Candurin® Silver Sparkle Merck KGaA
100 % Auftragssuspension
Suspension wird ca. 1 Stunde vor Versuchsbeginn hergestellt. Sepifilm 050 ist ein Filmbildungssystem auf Hydroxypropylmethyl- cellulosebasis.

Die fertig gemischte Candurin®-Suspension wird per Hand in einem oder mehreren Schritten auf die Pellets aufgegeben. Nach dem gewünschten Verteilen der Pigmente auf der Produktoberfläche wird der Kessel gestoppt und mit Kalt- oder Warmluft getrocknet. Um ein Zusammenkleben der Pigmente zu verhindern wird der Kessel in zeitlichen Abständen kurz eingeschaltet.

Die fertig gemischte Candurin®-Suspension wird per Hand in einem oder mehreren Schritten auf die Pellets aufgegeben. Nach dem gewünschten
Verteilen der Pigmente auf der Produktoberfläche wird der Kessel gestoppt und mit Kalt- oder Warmluft getrocknet. Um ein Zusammenkleben der Pigmente zu verhindern wird der Kessel in zeitlichen Abständen kurz eingeschaltet.

Färbung erfolgt durch Hand-Auftrag einer Candurin®-Suspension in einem offenen Dragierkessel.

Opadry Il clear ist ein Filmbildungssystem auf Hydroxypropylmethyl- cellulosebasis.
=> sehr schöner glitzernder und gleichmäßiger, silberner Glanzeffekt auf der Produktoberfläche
Beispiel 13: Färbung von Salzwasserkrabben-Futterpellets
Färbung erfolgt durch Handauftrag im rotierenden Dragierkessel:
Auftragsmasse besteht aus:
10 % Candurin® Silver Sparkle* Merck KGaA
90 % Couva 300H Loders Croklaan B.V.
Couva 300H ist ein pflanzliches Fett. Dieses wird auf ca. 40-45 0C erwärmt. Anschließend erfolgt die Zugabe der Candurin® Pigmente.
Auftragsmenge: 1-15 % je nach gewünschtem Farbeffekt
(*Candurin® Silver Sparkle: mit TiO2 beschichtetes Glimmerpigment der
Teilchengröße 10 - 150 μm, Fa. Merck KGaA) Couva 300H: Nahrungsfett auf pflanzlicher Basis
Beispiel 14: Färbung von Salzwasserkrabben-Pellets
Färbung erfolgt durch Handauftrag im rotierenden Dragierkessel:
5 % Candurin® Red Sparkle Merck KGaA
90 % Couva 300H Loders Croklaan B.V.
Couva 300H ist ein pflanzliches Fett. Dieses wird auf ca. 40-45 °C erwärmt. Anschließend erfolgt die Zugabe der Candurin® Pigmente.
Auftragsmenge: 1-15 % je nach gewünschtem Farbeffekt
(*Candurin® Red Sparkle: mit Fe2O3 beschichtetes Glimmerplättchen der

Claims
1. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten auf Basis plättchenförmiger Substrate zur Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln.
2. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten zur Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Substrat ein natürliches und/oder synthetisches Glimmerplättchen, Talkum, Kaolin, plättchenförmiges Eisen- oder Aluminiumoxid, Glasplättchen, SiO2-Plätchen, TiO2-Plättchen, plättchenförmiges Mischoxid oder Graphitplättchen ist.
3. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten zur Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Substrat eine oder mehrere Metalloxidschichten aufweist.
4. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten zur Färbung von Futtermitteln und Tierarzneimitteln nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Substrate mit TiO2, Fe2θ3 und/oder Fe3O4 beschichtet sind.
5. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mehrschichtpigmente alternierend hoch- und niedrigbrechende Schichten aufweisen.
6. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Effektpigment folgenden Schichtaufbau besitzt:
Substrat + TiO2
Substrat + Fe2O3
Substrat + Fe3O4
Substrat + TiO2 + SiO2 + TiO2
Substrat + TiO2 + SiO2 + Fe2O3
Substrat + TiO2 + SiO2 + Fe3O4
Substrat + TiO2 + AI2O3 + TiO2
Substrat + TiO2 + AI2O3 + Fe2O3 Substrat + TiO2 + AI2O3 + Fe2O3
Substrat + TiO2 + AI2O3 + Fe2O3
Substrat + Fe2O3 + SiO2 + TiO2
Substrat + Fe3O4 + SiO2 + TiO2
Substrat + Fe2O3 + AI2O3 + TiO2
Substrat + Fe3O4 + AI2O3 + TiO2
Substrat + SiO2 + TiO2
Substrat + SiO2 + Fe2O3
Substrat + SiO2 + Fe3O4
7. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Anteil an Effektpigment im Futtermittel oder im Tierarzneimittel 0,01 bis 50 Gew. % beträgt.
8. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Effektpigmente in Kombination mit natürlichen bzw. naturidentischen Farbstoffen, Farbpigmenten oder natürlichen färbenden Pflanzen- oder Fruchtextrakten eingesetzt werden.
9. Verwendung von Effektpigmenten nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Futtermittel und das Tierarznei¬ mittelpräparat mit einem Überzug aus Cellulosederivaten, Schellack, Ölen, Wachsen, Gummi Arabicum, Cellulosearten, Polymeth- acrylaten, auf Stärke- oder Eiweißbasis, Fetten und Fettderivaten oder Zuckerguss enthaltend Effektpigmente und gegebenenfalls weiteren Pigmenten und/oder Färbemitteln versehen ist.
10. Verfahren zur Herstellung von mit Effektpigmenten eingefärbten Futtermitteln oder Tierarzneimitteln, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Effektpigment bzw. Effektpigmentgemisch allein oder in Kombination mit weiteren Pigmenten oder Färbemitteln direkt oder in Gegenwart von Wasser und/oder eines organischen Lösungsmittels in den gewünschten Mengenverhältnissen, gleichzeitig oder nacheinander, während oder nach ihrer Herstellung, vor oder nach der Formgebung, dem einzufärbenden Erzeugnis zugegeben wird bzw. auf die Oberfläche des Futtermittelerzeugnisses bzw. auf das Tierarzneimittelpräparat aufgebracht wird.
11. Futtermittel und Tierarzneimittel enthaltend Effektpigmente auf Basis plättchenförmiger Substrate als Färbemittel.
