Als Ausgangsmaterial für die thermoplastisch formbaren Plattenteile wird ein Polyester verwendet, der dermatologisch getestet ist und die Anforderungen des medizinischen Produktionsgesetzes (MPG) erfüllt. Estrich hergestellten Plattenbauteilen für den Parcours sehr gering. Wegen der Glätte der Plattenoberflöche sind die verlegten Formteile sehr leicht sauber zu halten. Als Größe (Breite und Länge) kommt ein Maß von etwa 40x60 cm in Frage, allerdings sind auch andere Abmessungen möglich. Die Stoßkanten der rechteckigen Plattenformteile sind so ausgebildet, dass sie fugenlos aneinander gelegt werden können.
