Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur endothermen Vergasung von festem Kohlenstoff im Flugstrom mit heißem Gas aus der partiellen Oxidation einer Prozesskombination, bestehend aus den Prozessstufen partielle Oxidation von Brennstoffen und endotherme Vergasung von festem Kohlenstoff, der gegebenenfalls eine Schwelung so vorgeschaltet ist, dass das Schwelgas der partiellen Oxidation und der Schwelkoks der endothermen Vergasung (15) zugeführt werden, wobei erfindungsgemäß das heiße, im Verfahren abwärts strömende Gas aus der Brennkammer (5) unter Abtrennung (7) der flüssigen Schlacke umgelenkt und der Prozessstufe endotherme Vergasung (15) von festem Kohlenstoff, die mit aufsteigendem Gasstrom arbeitet, unter Zugabe von festem Kohlenstoff (17), vorzugsweise Kokskohlenstoff aus einer prozessinternen Schwelung und mit einem Korndurchmesser bis 20 mm, zugeführt wird, wobei die Gasgeschwindigkeit am Kohlenstoffeintrag oberhalb und am Ende der Prozessstufe endotherme Vergasung unterhalb der Schwebegeschwindigkeit der reaktiven Kohlenstoffpartikel liegt.
