Description

The invention relates to a hinge system for partitions, especially shower partitions, according to the features indicated in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a hinge system is from the DE 296 04 823 U1 known, according to which the connecting body are formed as the hinge parts cross-caps. The connecting bodies include a through-hole through which a threaded sleeve engages with a resting on the outer surface of the connecting body head. From the other side of the respective separating element, the connecting element formed as a screw engages in said bore in such a way that the hinge part can be fixed under prestress with respect to the separating element.

From the EP 1 460 220 A2 Hinges for partitions, in particular shower partitions, are known, which have two interconnected by means of said hinges separating elements. The separating elements are preferably designed as frameless plates, in particular glass plates, and in the region of their mutually facing, substantially vertically aligned longitudinal edges by means of two of these vertically spaced hinges hinged together. Each hinge contains two hinge parts fixedly connected to the respective separating element, which are pivotably coupled to one another by means of a hinge pin. The hinge parts scrub predetermined dimensions and / or sizes and / or shapes and / or surface designs and ultimately a given design. In the event of changes in the size of the partitions, enlargement of the product range Of the partitions, model change or the like is often the need to adapt the hinges to changing conditions, the hinges mentioned above are to be replaced by new hinges. The associated production and storage costs, for example after a model change, is not insignificant, especially since the hinges previously in use are to be kept regularly for a fairly long period of time over several years.

Furthermore, from the DE 44 40 766 A1 a hinge system with design elements, which determine the outer shape of the entire hinge design. The design elements are reversibly push-on or pushed onto the hinge function predetermining hinge parts, which should be possible due to the reversibility of a trouble-free, subsequent replacement and redesign of the hinge. There are special measures to determine the respective design element on the associated provided for the hinge function hinge part to allow. There is a risk that the design elements during the long-term use of the partitions replace the hinge parts and get lost, especially with regard to the volume of construction and the requirements of practice appropriate security systems for reversible push-on and postpone design elements are not readily possible ,

Furthermore, from the DE 20 2004 017 778 U1 a modular, multifunctional fitting system for shower enclosures known, with the hinge parts additional modules of different design can be connected. The additional modules are arranged in the form of caps on the outside of the hinge parts and connected in a suitable manner, for example by means of fastening screws or by undercut training or by means of corresponding projections and indentations. The hinge parts are connected to the separating elements formed as glass panes by means of screws or adhesive connections, but the additional modules are independent of the connection of the hinge parts with the separating elements.

Finally, out of the DE 197 10 547 B4 a shower cubicle with fastening means for holding a glass pane or glass door known, wherein the fastening means comprise a partially engaging in a recess of the glass pane or glass door support element. The support element is by means of a screw which penetrates said recess, with one on the other side of the glass or glass door arranged holding body or wall connected. Furthermore, a cap-like trim panel is provided which overlaps the support element and which is connected to the support element via a screw connection.

Proceeding from this, the invention has the object, the hinge system with a small design effort to the effect that in a simple manner, the design can be specified according to the requirements and nonetheless a permanent and reliable connection and determination of the hinge with the or the separating elements easily achieved is. The hinge system is said to require little manufacturing and storage overhead, with changes in design and / or sizes and / or dimensions and / or surface finish being easy and straightforward. The hinge system should have few components and / or allow easy production and / or easy handling.

FIG. 1 shows a hinge 2 of the hinge system, partially cut and partially in an exploded view, with the hinge 2, a first separator 4 and a second separator 6 are hinged together. The dividing elements 4, 6 are components of a partition, in particular shower partition, wherein the dividing elements 4, 6 are aligned substantially vertically. In such a partition wall, for example, the first partition member 4 may be arranged stationary, while the second partition member 6 is pivotally or formed as a door leaf.

Furthermore, when forming the partition, for example, as a folding partition or Gleitfalttür both separating elements can be arranged to be movable or pivotable. The hinge 2 includes a first hinge part 8 and a second hinge part 10, which are formed substantially plate-shaped and on the surfaces of the preferably frameless plates, in particular glass plates, formed separating elements 4, 6 biased, wherein advantageously between the hinge parts. 8 , 10 and the associated separating elements 4, 6 plate-shaped intermediate layers 12, 14 are provided. These intermediate layers 12, 14 of the hinge system are made of a comparatively softer material, such as in particular elastomer or plastic, to compensate for local overstress. Between the mutually opposite vertical longitudinal edges 16, 18 of the separating elements 4, 6, a predetermined gap is present, in which a sealing element 20 is arranged, which is fastened on the one hand to the longitudinal edge 16 of the first separating element 4, in particular by means of the longitudinal edge 16 encompassing clamping legs, and which on the other hand in the illustrated closed position of the separating elements 4, 6 sealingly abuts against the opposite vertical longitudinal edge 18 of the second separating element 6. The two hinge parts 8, 10 contain mutually corresponding hinge bodies 22, 24, which are coupled to each other by means of a hinge pin 26 hinged. The second separating element 6 contains in the region of the hinge a recess 28 into which the two hinge bodies 22, 24 protrude in such a way that the hinge axis 30 defined by the hinge pin 26 is located preferably in the region of this recess 28.

10.The hinge parts 8, 10 contain central through-holes 32, 34. For fastening the hinge parts 8, 10, the hinge system contains connecting bodies 36, by means of which the two hinge parts 8, 10 can be connected under bias to the separating elements 4, 6. According to the invention, the connecting bodies 36 are placed in the direction of the arrow II, thus substantially orthogonal to the surfaces of the separating elements 4, 6 and / or the substantially plate-shaped hinge parts 8, 10. The connecting bodies 36 are of matching construction and each contain a pin 38 which engages in the central through-hole 32 or 34 of the associated hinge part 8 and 10, respectively. The connecting body 36 and / or pin 38 each contain a blind bore 40, in particular with internal thread for a from the other side of the respective separating element 4, 6 ago engaging fastener 42, which in particular formed as a screw is. The connecting bodies 36 largely cover the associated hinge parts 8 and 10, respectively.

In the region of the insides facing the dividing elements 4, 6, the connecting bodies 36 contain a recess 44, which is adapted to the contour of the substantially plate-shaped hinge parts 8, 12, wherein the pin 38 located in the recess 44 enters the corresponding central through-bore 32 or 34 at least partially intervenes. The recess 44 arranged in the region of the inner side of the connecting body 36 facing the separating element 6 or 4 contains an opening 45 facing the hinge body 24 or 22, through which the respective hinge part 8 or 10 engages in the recess 44 or the connecting body 36. On the one hand, the connecting bodies 36 cover a considerable part of the hinge parts 8, 10 and are designed as cover or decorative elements. The hinge system according to the invention comprises at least two types of connecting bodies whose design and / or shape and / or surface design and / or dimensions are specified differently. All types of connecting bodies include the recess 44 arranged in the inner side and / or the pins 38 and / or the blind bore 40 and / or the internal threads. The type of in Fig. 1 shown connecting body is substantially formed as a dome and / or has a dome-shaped outer surface 46. Apart from the opening 45, the connecting body 36 are formed over its circumference 47 as well as over its entire outer surface 46 closed. It should be particularly noted that the central blind bore 40 ends at a predetermined distance in front of the outer surface 46 and this does not penetrate, so that the design of the respective connecting body 36 is closed in the region of the connecting element 46 and neither through the blind bore 40 through the Connecting element 42 is interrupted or disturbed. Below are on hand of the FIGS. 5 to 13 other types of joint body of the hinge system explained.

The separating elements 4, 6 contain through holes 48, 50, whose inner walls 52, 54 at least in the hinge parts 8, 10 opposite areas of the separating elements 4, 6 open away from the hinge parts 8, 10, in particular partially open conically. To the inner surfaces 56, 58 of the first and second Separating element 4, 6 opening portions of the inner walls 52, 54 thus form contact surfaces for insert body 60, the radially outer edges are matched to the opening contour of the inner walls 52, 54.

Conveniently, in each case one insert 62 is arranged between the insert bodies 60 and the inner surface 56, 58. These inserts 62 consist of a comparison with the material of the separating elements 4, 6, which are designed in particular as frameless glass plates, made of a softer material, in particular plastic, to compensate for local overstress. The insert bodies 60 contain through holes 64 through which pass through the connecting elements 42 designed in particular as screws, wherein the connecting elements 42 engage with their free ends in the blind bore 40 and in particular in the internal thread of the connecting body 36 provided there. The insert bodies 60 contain an extension 68 for receiving the head 66 of the connecting body 36. As can be seen, the first and second hinge part 8 is thus prestressed on the outer surface of the first and second separating element 4, 6 by means of the connecting element 42 and the connecting body 36 clamped and set under pretension.

FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the hinge in the direction of II according to FIG. 1 , The hinge body 24 of the second hinge part 10 is substantially U-shaped, wherein between the legs of the hinge body 24 of the correspondingly narrower formed hinge body 22 of the first hinge part 8 engages. The hinge bodies 22, 24 contain bearing bores for receiving the hinge pin 30 defining the hinge pin. The free end 70 of the hinge body 24 or its legs are substantially aligned with the vertical longitudinal edge 18 of the second separating element 6. The substantially over the entire vertical height of the first separating element 4 extending and attached to the longitudinal edge 18 sealing element 20 is sealingly against the opposite vertical longitudinal edge 18 of the second separating element 6 and further also at the free end 70 of the hinge body 24, so that in the closed position of the two separating elements 4, 6 a functionally reliable seal is ensured even in the region of the hinge.

FIG. 3 shows in the direction of III according to FIG. 1 in a perspective view of the connecting body 36 together with the second hinge part 10, which in the Recess 44 of the connecting body 36 is inserted. Furthermore, the two legs of the hinge body 24 are clearly visible.

In FIG. 4 the two hinge parts 8, 10 are shown. The substantially plate-shaped hinge parts 8, 10 have side surfaces 72, which are formed as contact and / or alignment elements for the connecting body, not shown here. As in connection with FIG. 1 can be seen, the inner wall of the recess 44 of the connecting body corresponding to the side surface 72 of the two hinge parts 8, 10 is formed. The said inner wall thus bears against the side surface 72 of the respective hinge part 8, 10, whereby a defined orientation of the connecting body with respect to the associated hinge part 8, 10 is ensured. Additionally or alternatively, in the context of the invention, the hinge parts 8, 10 and ribs 74, webs, knobs or the like and corresponding to the connecting body 36 in the recess 44 corresponding grooves, holes or the like, which serve as investment and / or alignment. Furthermore, the central through holes 32, 34 of the hinge parts 8, 10, deviating from the cylindrical inner contour shown here, also have a different cross-sectional area, for example in the manner of a quadrangle or polygon 76, wherein corresponding to the outer surface of the pin of the connecting body is formed to additionally or alternatively to form investment and / or alignment.

FIGS. 5 to 13 show hinges of the hinge system with each correspondingly formed first and second hinge parts 8, 10, but with different types of connecting body 80 to 88. According to the FIGS. 5 to 13 have the connecting body 80 to 88 different predetermined geometries of the outer contours. Additionally and / or alternatively, the size, be it the outer dimensions or the thickness, and / or the surface of the individual types of the connecting bodies can be specified differently. The hinge system thus allows only by appropriate change in the design of the connecting body to create the respective wishes and requirements hinges, but the other components of the hinge system, in particular the two hinge parts 8, 10, as well as the inserts 62, insert body 60 and fasteners 42 unchanged to be kept.
