Description

The invention relates to a connector according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Ein solcher Steckverbinder ist aus DE-C1-3605063 bekannt.Such a connector is off DE-C1-3605063 known.

Such connectors are further known in numerous designs, the base strip is intended to be mechanically fixed on the one hand on a circuit board and on the other hand to make the electrical contact with the circuit board. The plug part of the connector has the task of electrically connecting incoming and / or outgoing electrical conductors to the base strip and thus to the components on the circuit board. For connecting these conductors suitable terminals are provided on or in the plug part.

It is also known to connect the plug part with the base strip shakeproof. For this purpose, a screw is provided, which accordingly formed the Stekkerteil as a screw-plug and the base bar is provided with threaded flanges. In such embodiments of the connector, the Stekkerteil and the base bar can be joined together only in a single insertion direction.

The invention has for its object to provide a connector of the type mentioned in at the plug part and the base strip depending on the arrangement of the pins on the base bar in at least two mutually offset by 90 ° plug directions can be assembled and independent of the plugging a selbstätige mechanical securing the plug part is made on the base bar after mating.

This object is achieved in a connector of the type mentioned above by the characterizing features of claim 1.

For the invention is essential to be able to choose between two plug directions between the plug part and the base bar. Thus, the contact pins can be arranged on the upright with respect to the circuit board strips of the base strip for a horizontal connector terminal or on the resting on the circuit board strip leg for a vertical plug connection. In both cases, the plug part can be latched to the base strip, there are each provided on one of the longitudinal sides of the socket housing on the plug part latching steps in engagement with the latching hook either on the resting on the circuit board strip limbs or on the upright strip leg of the base bar. Here, the plug part is guided in the insertion direction of the contact pins, which are fixedly arranged on the base strip, and serve the plug receptacles in the socket housing of the plug part, the in cylindrical contact pins are designed as a hollow cylinder with appropriate fit.

Advantageous design features of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims.

In detail shows Fig. 1 the base strip 1 of the connector, which is designed as an angle bar. Thus, the base strip 1 has a first strip leg 2 and a second strip leg 3, both strip legs 2, 3 are at a right angle to each other. At the second strip leg 3 facing inside 2.1 are on the first strip leg 2 pins 4, which are perpendicular to the first strip leg 2 and are aligned parallel to the second strip leg 3 accordingly. The contact pins 4 lie with their longitudinal axes in a common plane parallel to the second strip leg 3 and are of equal length. Either the contact pins 4 are inserted with a firm seat in the base strip 1 or immediately injected into the base strip 1 made of a plastic material as an injection molded part. On the underside of the base strip 1, the contact pins 4 are facing downwards, accordingly, the contact pins 4 in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 designed as angle pins. The underside of the base strip 1 is defined by the underside of the second strip leg 3, which acts accordingly as a support leg and is placed on the relevant circuit board.

In another embodiment of the connector, as described below with reference to Fig. 4 will be explained, are the contact pins 4 on the second strip leg 3 on the inside 3.1 before, this can be provided in plug-in version through holes 3.2 in the second strip leg 3. In this case, the orientation of the contact pins 4 on the inside 3.1 of the second strip leg 3 is pivoted only 90 ° analogously to the illustrated embodiment. It can with this execution, how Fig. 4 illustrates straight contact pins 4 are used, which are led out down from the second strip leg 3.

Next there Fig. 1 in detail, the execution of the male part 5 again, which has a terminal housing 6 with connection openings 7 for incoming and outgoing electrical conductors. For the electrical contacting of these conductors 6 corresponding terminals are provided in the connection housing. Integral with the terminal housing 6 is a female housing 8, in which jacks for contacting with the contact pins 4 of the base strip 1 are arranged. Although the female housing 8 has on its outside a slightly rugged shape, but the cross-sectional basic shape of the female housing is rectangular, ie rectangular or square, with one of the rectangular or square sides of its cross section, the female housing 8 connects to the terminal housing 6. So the female housing 8 has a first interrupted by formations longitudinal side 9 and a second longitudinal side 10, which are parallel to each other in terms of their basic shape. Perpendicular to this is an in the insertion direction forward end face 11 of the female housing 8, their contiguous sections as well as each of the longitudinal sides 9 and 10 of the female housing 8 lie in a plane.

On the front side 11 of the female housing 8 are insertion openings 12 which are arranged in a row corresponding to the arrangement of the contact pins 4 on the base strip 1. Towards the inside, the insertion openings 12 are followed by mechanical guides for the contact pins 4, which prevent the stekkerte part 5 from tilting out when the stekkerteil 5 is pushed onto the base strip 1.

Has the plug part 5 reaches its end position when plugging on the base strip 1, the plug part 5 and the base bar 1 are automatically locked together. On the base strip 1 to hooks 13 are provided, which project on the inside 2.1 and 3.1 of the two strips leg 2, 3 and on the other hand are located at the two free corners or corner regions of the strip legs 2, 3. Thus, two latching hooks 13 are present on each of the two strip limbs 2, 3. With respect to a plane which extends at an angle of 45 ° between the two inguinal limbs 2, 3 in the middle and through the apex region of the angled base strip 1 passes, the two respectively arranged on the inner sides of the base strip 1 latching hooks 13 are mirror images of each other and arranged. In other words, the latching hooks 13 are mirror-symmetrical to that plane which are spanned by the angle bisector of the 90 ° angle, under which the strip limbs 2, 3 of the base strip 1 are mutually aligned.

On the female housing 8 of the male part 5 detent stages 14 are provided in a corresponding arrangement, of which two come in fully plugged onto the base strip 1 plug part 5 in latching engagement with two of the locking hooks 13 on the base strip 1. Thus this both at the plugging direction, as it is made Fig. 3 as well as the plug-in direction, as they are made Fig. 4 results, the case, are provided in the region of each of the two longitudinal sides 9 and 10 of the female housing 8 of the respective latching hooks 13 engageable latching stages 14. Based on the rectangular cross-sectional basic shape of the female housing 8 on the plug part 5, the latching steps 14 at the two longitudinal sides 9, 10 of the female housing 8 have an equal distance to that, nearest corner edge line, respectively by the female housing 8 parallel to the longitudinal sides 9, 10 and the end face 11 enveloping three levels, which are perpendicular to each other, results. This will either come, like Fig. 3 show the Locking steps 14 in the region of the long side 10 on the female housing 8 and the latching hooks 13 on the second strip leg 3 of the base strip 1 or as Fig. 4 shows, the latching steps 14 in the region of the longitudinal side 9 on the female housing 8 and the latching hooks 13 on the first strip leg 2 of the base strip 1 with each other. The said distance corresponds in each case to the distance which the latching hooks 13 have on the rectangular base strip 1 from its apex line.

In a practical embodiment, the latching steps 14 are arranged on the two opposite transverse side walls 15 of the female housing 8 and have the shape of projecting on the narrow sides of these transverse side walls 15 projecting locking cams. The projections of a transverse side wall 15 on the socket housing 8 on the longitudinal sides 9, 10 can be used as coding elements, which cooperate with recesses on the opposite side to be arranged on the base strip 1 on the inner sides 2.1, 3.1 of the strip legs 2, 3 between the respective To provide latching hook 13. Conversely, as in the illustrated embodiment in the FIGS. 1 and 2 can be seen on one side of the base strip 1 between the local latching hooks 13 on the inner sides 2.1, 3.1 of the strip leg 2, 3 projecting side walls 16 may be arranged, which cooperate with a recess 17 which on the respective transverse side wall 15 of the female housing 8 on the plug part 5 is provided.

On the one longitudinal side 9 of the female housing 8 on the plug part 5 further insertion openings 18 are arranged, which are aligned analogously to the insertion openings 12, but offset by 90 ° and to the same manner as in the insertion 12 recordings with guides for the contact pins 4 connect the base strip 1 in the interior of the socket housing 8. These further insertion openings 18 allow a plugging of the plug part 5 on the base strip 1, as it is in FIG. 5 is shown. So that in this case a latching between the female part 8 on the plug part 5 and the base strip 1, further detent steps or cam 19 are arranged on the female housing 8 in the region of the end face 11. These further latching steps 19 have from the corner edge or from the theoretical Eckkantenlinie in the transition region between the end face 11 and the longitudinal side 9 with the insertion openings 18 of the female housing 8 the same distance as the latching steps 14 on this longitudinal side 9. Thus, the latching steps 14 and Locking steps 19 to the plane of the bisector, which passes through the intervening corner edge of the female housing 8, mirror-symmetrical to each other, as is analogous to the latching hooks 13 of the base 1 of the case. How to do that FIG. 5 As can be seen, in latched arrangement of the plug part 5, the latching steps 19 in the region of the end face 11 of the socket part 8 and the latching hooks 13 on the second strip leg 3 of the base strip 1 are locked together.

How out FIG. 2 In particular, it can be seen, the other insertion openings 18 are surrounded on the longitudinal side 9 of the female housing 8 with collar 20 which protrude on the longitudinal side 9 and the insertion openings 18 surrounded at its side remote from the end face 11 of the female housing 8 side. Between the collar 18 gussets 21 are formed, which extend in the direction of the terminal housing 6 of the male part 5. Coding angles 22, which have legs 22.1 and 22.2 which are at right angles to one another, are matched to these gusset spaces 21. On the leg 22.1 of the coding angle 22, a thickened head 23 is integrally formed on the end, which fits positively into the mentioned interstices 21 behind the collar 20 on the longitudinal side 9 of the female housing 8. On the second leg 22.2 of the coding angle 22, a hook-shaped locking member 24 is provided, with which the coding angle 22 engage around the socket housing 8 on the plug part 5 on its second longitudinal side 10 and there can engage with a latching projection 15. Thus, the coding angle 22 in each case between two of the insertion openings 12 and the further insertion opening 18 can be latched onto the socket housing 8 of the plug part 5, that the leg 22.2 of the Kodierwinkels 22 protrudes on the end face 11 of the female housing 8.

As further coding elements which cooperate with the coding angles 22, on the inside 2.1, 3.1 of the relevant strip leg 2, 3 of the base strip 1 projecting coding ribs 26 are provided, which ausbrechbar are. For the coding ribs 26 are connected via corresponding predetermined breaking webs with the base strip 1. In order to avoid a reverse polarity between the plug part 5 and the base strip 1, the coding angle 22 are set on the socket housing so that they do not collide with each other with the coding ribs 26 only with proper alignment of the plug part 5 and base strip 1.
