These devices may be designed to as great an extent as possible respond to generic input/output (I/O) interface procedures in a manner similar to that of local devices. Whenever an I/O procedure is invoked on the socket interface, the invocation may be transported to a remote host. The response may be transported back in like fashion.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de mise en oeuvre de dispositifs chirographiques. Ce système est compatible avec un lecteur de signes chirographiques tridimensionnels, une technique de reconnaissance des caractères tridimensionnels, un scripteur de caractères de texte chirographiques, une technique de restitution tridimensionnelle de signes chirographiques, et un marqueur tridimensionnel de signes de stylisation chirographique. Le système peut inclure une unité de système centrale disposant d'une horloge de synchronisation en temps réel, et des connecteurs de bus pour les dispositifs d'entrées sorties chirographiques.
