Abstract
Description
- The invention in question concerns a fibre web machine. In more detail, the present invention relates to a support solution in the fibre web machine for the set of rollers that includes a body frame and at least two rollers, as known from
EP-A-1114 891 . - In connection with this invention, the set of rollers refers to anything that may include a body frame and at least two rollers affecting against each other, which can generate a compression roller nip in their contact area. One must emphasise that the rollers are not essential from the point of view of the present invention as such out. So the rollers can be hard or soft surface rollers. Such sets of rollers are, among others, in a press part, in a drying part and in a calender part of the fibre web machine. In different parts of the fibre web machine the set of rollers can dry the fibre web so with the help of a compression and/or heat and can accomplish permanent deformations by means of heat and the compression to the fibre web. In the calender part the set of rollers, for example, can be a roller nip that calenders the fibre web, a roller nip that does not calender the fibre web or a turn nip of the fibre web, whereby utilizing the set of rollers by one can not just dry the fibre web but also form in the fibre web permanent deformations by means of the heat and the compression.
- The fibre web machine has been arranged for the machine level traditionally in the machine hall in which case the body frame of the set of rollers has been fastened to the floor construction of the machine level from its bottom. Furthermore, the body frame of each set of rollers has been supported above the machine level on the vertical beam of the machine hall and/or fibre web machine to horizontal machine fawns.
- Because of this kind of a traditional support solution the structure height of the fibre web machine becomes big and a part of the fibre web machine visible with the machine level is big which is why the big height of the machine hall is needed, among others, in a maintenance and roller change work. The essential weakness is also the fact that in a traditional fibre web machine a lift frame is needed because of the support solution of the set of rollers for each set of rollers, which considerably adds the total length of the fibre web machine.
- The object of the present invention is to eliminate or to reduce, at least essentially, drawbacks and weaknesses, which are related to the traditional support solution of the set of rollers. The object of the embodiment example, which is in accordance with an aspect of the invention, is to accomplish a new support solution to the fibre web machine for the set of rollers. According to the second aspect of the invention, the special object is to accomplish a new support solution for a divided set of rollers or for two consecutive sets of rollers.
- According to this object, to the support solution according to the present invention in a fibre web machine for the set of rollers, which include a body frame and at least two rollers, which have been joined to machine fawns by stiff or pivot support bars, to the body frame, it is characterized that the body frame is fastened directly to the machine fawns and to a foundation below the fibre web machine, which foundation is according to an embodiment of the invention a stiff concrete foundation.
- In an embodiment of the invention that has been considered recommended the body frame, which supports the set of rollers, and thus the whole set of rollers is at least partly below machine level. In that case there will be a hollow in the foundation according to a realisation form of the invention for the body frame and for the set of rollers. When the set of rollers now is seen partly at only the machine level, the necessary demand to the lifting height decreases and in the same machine hall the upper free state of the fibre web machine increases which is advantageous from the point of view of the lifting height.
- According to the invention the set of rollers can be a divided set of rollers, which forms the multi-roller calender of the fibre web machine or the set of rollers can include at least two consecutive sets of rollers. In that case one will see above the machine level only a part from the wholeness, each of which includes the body frame and the set of rollers that is related to it. The divided set of rollers or for example the multi-roller calender with 10 rollers of the fibre web machine, which calender can be now arranged according to the principle of the invention, in relation to the machine level so that only about 3 m from the set of rollers will be seen above the machine level can consist of two consecutive sets of rollers.
- To the invention it is further characteristic that one can now arrange for the divided set of rollers or for two consecutive sets of rollers a common lift frame or a common maintenance platform, which is fitted between the set of rollers of the divided set of rollers or the consecutive sets of rollers. In that case, among others, a maintenance and an exchange of the rollers will become easier, the number of the lift frames decreases, for example one less lift frame or maintenance platform is needed concerning the two divided sets of rollers or the consecutive sets of rollers, thanks to which a total length of the fibre web machine can be reduced in the machine direction or in the MD direction of the fibre web machine by the amount of the lift frame or about 2 m, correspondingly.
- The invention is described in the following by a way of an example, however, without limiting the present invention to the same by means of an embodiment example that has been considered advantageous and by referring to the enclosed patent drawings, where FIG. presents diagrammatically a side view of the support solution, which is in accordance with the invention.
- A support solution for a divided set of rollers A, B of a fibre web machine is disclosed as a side view in
Figure 1 . In this example, the set of rollers of the paper machine is a divided multi-roller calender with 10 rollers, in which calender the set of rollers A includes 5 rollers and the set of rollers B includes 5 rollers likewise. First the web W goes in the set of rollers A winding downwards from above around the guide rollers into roller nips N, which are between the overlapping calender rollers, which affect each other, and then the web W goes in the set of rollers B winding upwards from below around the guide rollers into roller nips N, which are between the overlapping calender rollers, which affect each other. After the calender, the web is directed to the reeling. - As is disclosed in
Figure 1 each set of rollers A, B comprisesbody frame 10. For adjusting a load, i.e. the roller nip pressure, calendering the web W, aload cylinder 6 loads in the vertical direction at least the two lowest calender roller. Alternatively, a similar load cylinder can be arranged to affect an uppermost calender roller, in which case adjusting the load of the lowest calender roller or the uppermost calender roller or the lowest calender roller and the uppermost calender roller can regulate the load. - It is known that because of the action of the gravity force, the upper calender rollers cause additional pressure to lower calender rollers. Its consequence is uneven or increasing roller nip pressure load downwards. For removing the problem, compensation means (it was not presented in
Figure 1 ) of the uneven roller nip pressure, which is caused of the gravity force, can be arranged in the support beams of calender rollers. It is made possible a more even division of the roller nip pressure on the calender by means of the compensation means. - The support solution according to the present invention has generally been meant to be adapted for the supporting of the set of rollers, which include the body frame and at least two rollers.
- The
body frame 10 of the set of rollers, A, B according to the basic idea of the invention is fastened directly tohorizontal machine beams 11 and to thefoundation 12 below the fibre web machine, which is in the embodiment example ofFigure 1 a paper machine, as the essential difference from the practice traditionally adapted, according to which the set of rollers are supported on the machine level MP or above the same. According to the advantageous embodiment example of the invention, thefoundation 12 is a stiff concrete foundation, which essentially reduces material costs and increases the stiffness of the body frame, in which case the foundation can form a part of the body frame of the set of rollers. - To a realisation example of the invention it is especially typical that the set of rollers at least partly stays below the machine level MP. To carry out this there reaches a hollow 13 below the machine level MP for the set of rollers A, B. The hollow can be for example a groove in the machine hall that has been formed to the floor, which forms the machine level. When the divided multi-roller calender with 10 rollers of the paper machine, which is presented in
Figure 1 , has been arranged in hollow 13, the calender is seen above the machine level, only about 3 m. - For the minimising of the construction length of the fibre web machine, it is advantageous to apply the support solution according to the invention to the set of rollers, which is the divided set of rollers A, B, such as for an example in
Figure 1 , in which the divided set of rollers forms a multi-roller calender of the paper machine. As well as the divided set of rollers, the set of rollers can consist also of two consecutive sets of rollers, A and B. Then one can arrange, thanks to the invention, a common lift frame or a common maintenance platform, which is fitted between the set of rollers of the divided set of rollers or the consecutive sets of rollers according toFigure 1 . In that case, among others, the roller maintenance and the roller exchange will be facilitated, the number of the lift frames decreases, for example, one needs one less of the lift frames or the maintenance platforms concerning two divided sets of rollers or two consecutive sets of rollers, thanks to which the total length of the fibre web machine, in other words about 2 m, can be reduced corresponding to the amount of the lift frame in the machine direction or the MD direction of the fibre web machine. - The invention has been explained above only as an example, this however without limiting the invention, instead the scope of the invention has been defined in the enclosed claims of protection.
