Definitions
- the present invention relates to an audio headset.
- Existing headphones include sound-emitting systems that are placed either around the ear (“circum-ear” helmets), on the ear of the ear (“mini-helmets”), or in the duct auditory (“auricular” helmets).
- the first type of headphones is used by professionals or with high fidelity channels; the second type of headphones is used rather with music players while the third type of headphones is used rather with music players or mobile phones.
- a headphone whatever the type, is a foreign body put in contact with the ear, sensitive part of the body; the contact of this foreign body with the ear causes discomfort or irritation during prolonged listening.
- headphones place the emission of sound in contact with either the ears of the ear or inside the ear canal while listening on the "natural scale" (that is, without helmet) additionally solicits the horn and the rest of the auditory system; listening to the headphones, it does not appeal to the primary function of the flag of the ear, namely to capture, channel and provide a first sound treatment.
- the helmet concerned comprises, in a manner known per se, a strip shaped to grip the head of a user, and at least one sound emitting assembly placed facing an ear.
- the helmet according to the invention therefore does not consist of a strip integral with two transmitters that rest either around the ear with circular pads, or against the flag of the ear, or transmitters of sounds that come to lodge in the auditory canal.
- each mini-speaker finds its place in front of the ear and the sound that it emits is oriented towards the flag; the shell located next to the mini-speaker has the function of maintaining the sound emitted by this mini-speaker in the pavilion area and to avoid disturbances due to the environment.
- Said shell will thus work as a "counter-flag" in that it will give a first treatment to the sound as does the flag of the ear naturally; it will therefore prepare and distribute the sound optimally to the pavilion taking into consideration the shape and properties of the latter while protecting the sound emitted by the mini-speaker from external disturbances.
- the shell makes it possible to isolate the sound in the zone of the ear and to avoid a diffusion of sound disturbing the environment of the user.
- Said shell may have the shape of a shell, and more specifically have substantially the shape of a mold.
- each sound transmitter assembly is mounted on a ball joint which allows the user to adjust it to the morphology of his ear.
- the strip comprises a central portion shaped to grip the head of a user by exerting a slight pressure on the cranial box thereof, and two side portions curved in the manner of the end of a pair of branches. glasses, these lateral portions being shaped to find a stable support on the mastoid bone, called the "rock", when said mini-enclosures and said shells are placed adequately, facing and near the ears.
- This headband provides a stable and non-irritating support of the helmet on a bone area of the user's head.
- each mini-enclosure and each shell is carried by a branch connected to the headband.
- This branch can be movable relative to the strip so as to allow the adjustment of the position of the mini-enclosure and the shell regardless of the position of the strip on the head of the user.
- Said central portion of the strip can be connected to said lateral portions of this strip by hinges for tilting said central portion relative to said side portions.
- the central portion of the strip can thus tilt relative to said side portions, allowing the central portion to be worn either on the top of the skull, or at the rear of the head.
- Each shell can also be connected to the headband by a ball joint, to allow its adjustment in position relative thereto
- the Figures 1 to 3 represent an audio headset 1, comprising a headband 2 shaped to grip the head of a user, and two sets 3 sound emitters intended to be placed opposite the ears of the user.
- the strip 2 comprises a central portion 5 shaped to grip the head of the user by exerting a slight pressure on the cranial box thereof, and two side portions 6 curved in the manner of the ends of branches of a pair of glasses . As shown by Figures 5 and 6 these lateral portions 6 are shaped to find a stable support on the mastoid bone, called the "rock", when the sets 3 are placed opposite the ears of the user.
- Each set 3 includes, as it appears more particularly on the figure 3 , a mini-speaker 7 and a shell 8 having a concavity on one side.
- the mini-enclosure 7 is mounted on the end of a branch 9 connected to the lateral zone of the central portion 5 of the strip 2, and the shell 8 is fixed to the mini-enclosure 7 so that its concavity is turned towards the user's ear when the helmet 1 is worn.
- the headphones 1 is arranged so that the mini-speakers 7 are placed in front of the user's ears, without contact with them, when the headphones 1 is worn, and are oriented so as to emit sound. direction of the flags of these ears. In this same position, the shells 8 are placed along the pavilions of the ears.
- the invention provides a headset having many advantages over prior art headphones. Indeed, this helmet responds positively and cumulatively to three criteria of choice, namely lightness, fidelity, comfort / maneuverability, exploits the natural acoustic potential of the flag of the ear, avoids the direct contact between the sound source and the flag of the ear or auditory canal, or too close to the sound system with the auditory system, meets a need for comfort and ergonomics, and is close to a "spatial" type of listening, close to listening on a natural scale (that is to say without a headset).
Description
- répondant positivement et cumulativement aux trois critères de choix déjà mentionnés, à savoir légèreté, fidélité, confort/maniabilité ;
- exploitant le potentiel naturel acoustique du pavillon de l'oreille ;
- évitant le contact direct entre la source d'émission du son et le pavillon de l'oreille ou le conduit auditif, ou évitant une trop grande proximité du système d'émission du son avec le système auditif ;
- répondant à un besoin de confort et d'ergonomie ;
- Ergonomie : le casque selon l'invention respecte la morphologie de l'oreille en ce sens qu'il permet d'éviter la gêne voire l'irritation tant du pavillon de l'oreille que du conduit auditif ; la solidité et le peu de sensibilité de l'os mastoïde offre une grande stabilité et un grand confort à l'utilisateur ;
- Audiophonie : le casque selon l'invention permet de décaler la source de son par rapport à l'oreille et de mettre à contribution le pavillon dans sa fonction première qui est de capter le son et de donner un premier traitement à celui-ci ; le son est plus "dynamique", a plus de "souplesse" et plus de "relief', en étant moins "écrasé" et moins "écrasant" ; les harmoniques sont plus riches, le casque centre le timbre des voix et le son paraît plus spontané ; ce casque restitue une valeur spatiale à l'écoute au casque ;
