The pivot levers 26, 26 'and 46, 46' are in the immediate vicinity of the armrests 6, 8 and are both in the in Fig. 3 shown raised position of the seat part 4 and in the in FIG. 8th lowered position of the seat part 4 optically not or hardly noticeable. Since otherwise along the entire axial extent of the pivot shafts 20, 20 'no components of the adjustment mechanism project down over the seat part 4, the entire space below the seat part 4 is free. Furthermore, since the drive units 29, 29 'are integrated into the seat part 4 without any overhang, the furniture drive according to the invention is visually barely perceptible, despite the wide range of adjustment possibilities with regard to the height and inclination of the seat part 4. The armchair 2 according to the invention therefore has a particularly attractive external appearance, which hardly differs from the visual appearance of a non-adjustable armchair.

Claims (22)

  1. A drive for furniture for adjusting a first furniture part in relation to a second furniture part,
    with at least one first hinged shaft (20) mounted pivotably on the first part, to which a rotary actuator is allocated, and
    with an additional hinged shaft (20') mounted pivotably on the first part in parallel and spaced apart from the first hinged shaft (20), which additional hinged shaft (20') is allocated a rotary actuator,
    characterised by
    at least one support element (26, 46), which is in active connection with the first hinged shaft (20), by means of which support element the first hinged shaft (20) is supported on a support surface formed on the second part, and
    at least one further support element (26', 46'), which is in active connection with the additional hinged shaft (20'), which further support element is supported on a support surface formed on the second part, such that by rotating the hinged shafts (20, 20') the inclination of the first part relative to the second part and/or the distance of the first part from the second part can be adjusted.
  2. The drive for furniture according to claim 1, characterised in that the hinged shaft (20) or at least one of the hinged shafts (20, 20') is allocated at least two support elements (26, 46) spaced apart from one another in axial direction of the respective hinged shaft (20, 20').
  3. The drive for furniture according to claim 2, characterised in that the support elements (26, 46; 26', 46') allocated to a hinged shaft are arranged on the axial ends of the hinged shaft (20; 20').
  4. The drive for furniture according to claim 2 or 3, characterised in that at least one of the support elements (26, 46, 26', 46') in the region of its end facing away from the allocated hinged shaft (20, 20') comprises a pin (28, 48, 28', 48'), by means of which the respective support element is guided on or in a guide (50, 50') formed on the second part.
  5. The drive for furniture according to claim 4, characterised in that the pin (28, 48, 28', 48') extends essentially parallel to the axial direction of the allocated hinged shaft (20, 20').
  6. The drive for furniture according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the guide is designed in the form of a groove or slot.
  7. The drive for furniture according to claim 4, 5, or 6, characterised in that the free end of the pin (28, 48; 28', 48') points away from the axial centre of the allocated hinged shaft (20, 20').
  8. The drive for furniture according to one of claims 4 to 7, characterised in that the guide (50, 50') is essentially straight.
  9. The drive for furniture according to one of claims 4 to 8, characterised in that the longitudinal axis of the guide (50, 50') runs essentially parallel to an imaginary connecting line between the hinged shaft (20) and the other hinged shaft (20').
  10. The drive for furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the support element or at least one of the support elements (26, 46, 26', 46') is designed as a lever, in particular a rotary lever.
  11. The drive for furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the support element or at least one of the support elements (26, 46, 26', 46') is connected in a rotation-fast manner to the allocated hinged shaft (20, 20').
  12. The drive for furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the support element or at least one of the support elements (26, 46, 26', 46') is designed to be flat in the axial direction of the allocated hinged shaft (20, 20').
  13. The drive for furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the rotary actuator or at least one of the rotary actuators is designed as an electric motor rotary actuator.
  14. The drive for furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the hinged shaft (20) and the additional hinged shaft (20') are each allocated a separate rotary actuator, so that the hinged shafts (20, 20') can be rotated independently from one another.
  15. The drive for furniture according to claim 13 or 14, characterised in that the rotary actuator or at least one of the rotary actuators is designed as a linear drive with a driven member moving along a linear axis of movement.
  16. The drive for furniture according to claim 15, characterised in that the driven member is a spindle nut (36) of a spindle drive (34, 36), which is arranged to be moveable in axial direction and in a rotation-fast manner on a rotary driveable threaded spindle (34).
  17. The drive for furniture according to claim 15, characterised in that the driven member is formed by a threaded spindle that is moveable in axial direction and rotation-fast, on which a fixed rotary driveable spindle nut is arranged.
  18. The drive for furniture according to one of claims 15 to 17, characterised by means for converting a linear movement of the driven member into a pivoting movement of the respective hinged shaft (20, 20').
  19. The drive for furniture according to claim 18, characterised in that the means for converting a linear movement of the driven member into a pivoting movement of the respective hinged shaft (20, 20') comprises a crank mechanism-like arrangement (40, 40'), by means of which the driven member is in driving connection with the respective hinged shaft (20, 20').
  20. The drive for furniture according to claim 19, characterised in that the crank drive-like arrangement comprises a hinge lever (42, 42') connected in a rotation-fast manner to the respective hinged shaft (20, 20'), with which one end of a push rod-like connecting element (44, 44') is connected eccentrically to the hinged shaft (20, 20'), the other end being connected in a hinge-like manner to the driven member.
  21. The drive for furniture according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the furniture is a chair, in particular an armchair (2), in that the first part is formed by a cushioned element, in particular a seat part of the chair, and in that second part is formed by at least one arm rest (8, 10) arranged in axial direction of the hinged shaft (20) to the side of the cushioned element.
  22. The drive for furniture according to claim 21, characterised in that the arm rest or at least one of the arm rests (8, 10) is designed to be flat, and in that the guide is formed in a surface of the respective arm rest (8, 10) facing the other arm rest (10, 8).
