- the present invention relates to the field of packaging sachets. More specifically, the present invention relates to the field of packaging bags comprising opening / closing means capable of multiple successive openings and closures, for example and not limited to the form of complementary profiles.
- EP-A-1 321 381 illustrates an example of a known packaging bag, capable of multiple successive openings and closings. This bag comprises a folded bellows on itself and held in this position by a removable element, allowing depending on the case, a single or multiple use. It also comprises a second element providing a resealable opening, placed on the end of the bellows.
- EP-A-1 321 381 has not experienced the expected commercial success.
- the object of the present invention is to improve the known sachets.
- a particular object of the present invention is to provide pouches for receiving a packaged content under high pressure, for example baby diapers or the like, while allowing easy access to the contents from the first withdrawal.
- This object is achieved in the context of the present invention, thanks to a packaging bag comprising at least one folded bellow against one side of the bag body and held in this position by a removable connecting element, characterized in that it further comprises a member adapted to provide a reclosable opening which extends transversely to the fold line of the bellows and covers the entire width of the bellows and at least a substantial portion of the bag body.
- the bag according to the present invention allows in particular, thanks to the specific arrangement of the element ensuring the reclosable opening, easy access to the entire contents of the bag, while the bags according to the state of the art according to EP-A-1 321 381 only allow limited access by the cross section of the bellows.
- the element adapted to ensure a resealable opening covers the entire bag body.
- the bag comprises two bellows folded against diametrically opposite sides of the bag body and held in this position by respective removable connecting elements.
- the element adapted to ensure a resealable opening comprises a closure element capable of multiple openings / closures.
- the bag comprises means preventing the closure element capable of multiple openings / closures from being stressed by the contents of the bag when the said at least one bellows is held folded by the removable connection.
- the present invention also relates to a method of making a package which comprises the steps of equipping the bellows with a bag, a member adapted to provide a resealable opening which extends transversely to the fold line of the bellows and covers the entire width of the bellows and at least a substantial portion of the bag body, folding the bellows formed in a bag body on itself and holding the bellows in this position by a removable connecting member.
- the present invention also relates to a packaging manufacturing device comprising means adapted to equip the bellows of a bag, a member adapted to provide a resealable opening which extends transversely to the fold line of the bellows and covers all the width of the bellows and at least a part substantially of the bag body, means adapted to fold on itself the bellows formed in a bag body and means adapted to generate a removable connection adapted to maintain the bellows in this position.
- FIG. 1 schematically represents a perspective view of a packaging bag according to the present invention before forming the folded bellows
- FIG. 2 represents a schematic perspective view of the same bag after folding of the bellows
- FIG. 3 diagrammatically represents the same bag after opening the resealable opening element to allow access to the contents of the bag
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show respectively similar views to the aforementioned FIGS. 1 and 2, before and after closure, of a bag according to an alternative embodiment of the present invention comprising two folded gussets on diametrically opposite faces of the bag,
- FIG. 6 represents a cross-sectional view of a closure assembly according to the present invention equipped with a slider
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show a schematic representation of a bag according to the invention at two successive stages of its manufacture.
- the pouch according to the invention originally comprises a generally tubular bag body 10 having an opening mouth 12 and a bottom 14 at its opposite end.
- the bag body 10 is defined by four main walls orthogonal to each other. Its section is thus generally square or rectangular. Two of these walls are illustrated in Figure 1 under the references 15 and 16. The two additional walls are respectively parallel and perpendicular to each of these two walls 15 and 16.
- the walls of the bag can be subject to many embodiments. It is preferably walls of thermoplastic material. These walls can be single or multi-layer (s) and mono or multi-material (x).
- the bag 10 can be made using a single sheet or several sheets, for example two sheets welded together at their edges, preferably along edges connecting the main walls, for example the edge common to the walls 15 and 16.
- a portion 20 of the bag body 10, here adjacent to the bottom 14 is folded back on itself in the form of a bellows.
- the portion 20 of the bag 10 folded in the form of a bellows has a length substantially equal to twice the width of the bag. The above lengths .1 and width .2 of the bag are considered perpendicular to the line 22 of folding the bellows.
- the aforementioned folding operation is shown schematically by an arrow referenced P in Figure 1.
- the bellows thus obtained from the bottom 14 is referenced 24 in Figure 2.
- the bellows 24 covers thus the entire section of the bag so that after completion of the bellows 24, at the bottom, the bag 10 has a triple thickness in the form of layers referenced 25, 26 and 27 in Figure 2.
- the bellows 24 is maintained in this position by a removable connecting element.
- the aforementioned removable connecting element may be formed of a self-adhesive strip.
- a self-adhesive strip may be provided on the end of the bag and the bellows in the form of the strip referenced 30 in FIG.
- the removable connection means may be formed of complementary elements located respectively at the bands 30 and 32 above shown in Figure 1, that is to say one on the end of the bag coinciding with the end of the bellows 24 and the other at a wall 16 of the bag body for receiving the end of the bellows 24 and above.
- complementary elements may be formed of complementary structures of velvet / hook type or complementary male / female profiles, or even complementary hook structures (possibly actuated by a slider).
- Such connecting elements are well known to those skilled in the art and will therefore not be described in detail later.
- the bag further comprises at least one closure element, capable of multiple openings / closures. Such a closure assembly is referenced 50 in the accompanying figures.
- this element 50 adapted to ensure a resealable opening extends transversely to the fold line 22 of the bellows and covers the entire width of the bellows and at least a substantial portion of the bag body. It thus allows easy access to all the contents of the sachet.
- the bag comprises means preventing the closing element 50 from being biased by the contents of the bag when the bellows is held folded by a connecting element 30, 32.
- the assembly closure member 50 is preferably provided on an edge of a bellows transverse to the fold line 22.
- the closure assembly 50 may itself be subject to numerous variations.
- FIG. 6 shows an advantageous variant of the present invention in which the closing element 50 is thus formed of two complementary sections 52, 54 respectively comprising a male-type element 53 and a female-type complementary element 55. All these means are well known to those skilled in the art. They will not be described in detail later. Where appropriate, these opening / closing means constituting the element 50 may be controlled by a slider 60. Such a slider has been schematized in the appended FIG. 6. Again, it can be the subject of many embodiments.
- Such a slider 60 preferably comprises a sole 62 which carries two lateral canvases 64, 65 and a central wall 66 defining between them two non-parallel channels 67, 68 respectively receiving at least the top of one of the two support webs 52, 54 of said at least one closing element 50 so that in the direction of movement of the slider 60, the slider 60 urges the element 50 respectively to the opening and closing. If so, but this provision is not imperative, the central wall 66 can penetrate between the complementary profiles 53, 55.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show an alternative embodiment in which the bag comprises two bellows 24 and 28 folded on diametrically opposite sides of the bag, namely respectively a bottom portion 20 and the mouth portion 21.
- the present invention also has the advantage of stiffening the ends of the bags or bags 10, especially at the bottom. Indeed, as can be seen in Figures 2 and 5, the bottom of the bag comprises three thicknesses 25, 26, 27. It is the same for the mouth when the bag has two bellows. This is extremely interesting for shelf positioning in the store.
- the present invention is not limited to the particular embodiments which have just been described but extends to any variant within its spirit.
- the removable connection means 30 32, and the closure element 50 can be made of material on the film constituting the bag wall, during the manufacture of this film, or else be initially formed of separate elements reported, for example by welding, on the film composing the bag.
- the bellows 24 and 28, respectively provided at the bottom 14 and the mouth 12 extend in a plane generally perpendicular to the direction of introduction of the contents into the bag 10, by the mouth 12.
- the bellows 24 and 28 extend in a plane generally parallel to the direction of introduction of the contents into the bag 10 by the mouth 12.
- the bellows 24 and 28 are folded on themselves against one of the faces surrounding the opening mouth 12.
- each bellows 24 or 28 may cover only a portion of the surface of the wall of the bag body 10 against which said bellows 24 and 28 are folded.
- This variant in which the bellows 24 and 28 cover only a portion of the section of the bag can be applied to all embodiments of the invention.
