Abstract

For a pistol having a hollow pistol grip in which a magazine for rounds which is insertable from below is held, a magazine catch is provided which is realeasable from either side, offers a maximum of safety, is user friendly and has relatively few parts. The magazine has a lug on its front wall; in the front part of the pistol grip a sliding block is arranged so as to be displaceable in transverse direction, which is held in its middle position by at least one spring, in which position the lug rests on the sliding block. The sliding block has a vertical groove on either side of the lug, which can be brought into the path of movement of the lug during insertion of the magazine by displacement of the sliding block in either one of the two directions.

Description

The invention relates to a pistol with a hollow handle which receives a cartridge magazine which can be pushed in from below, according to the preamble of claim 1.

The triggering or unlocking of the magazine holder is done by the shooter and must therefore meet high ergonomic requirements. Since a gun must be suitable for one-handed use of the magazine holder triggering lever is usually arranged on the handle so that it can be reached with the thumb of the shot hand. Then the actual magazine change can be carried out with the second hand.

Recently, there has been a demand for magazine holders to be operated from both sides. This is not only desirable for left-wing shooters, but also for shooting with the "weak-shot hand," which has recently been included in the training guidelines of the executive.

In the conventional pistols, the release lever for the magazine holder is located on the left side of the handle so that it is easily accessible to the thumb of the shooting hand of a right-handed shooter. He acts on a magazine holder, which attacks the side of the magazine and is therefore moved to trigger transverse to the firing direction. Some pistols can also be converted relatively easily for left-handed shooters. But that does not meet the demand of the "weak hand".

From practice, pistols from Heckler & Koch and Walther are known, the magazine holder with each of the two hands is triggered. In these, the direction of movement of the magazine holder in the weft direction. This has the disadvantage that can solve by the bounce when shooting or the impact of a gun fallen on a hard ground of the magazine holder and the magazine can fall out.

The US 4,835,892 A discloses the solution of the magazine holder from both sides, wherein in some embodiments, a pivotable lever is provided, which is composed of two parts, and controls the magazine holder by its pivotal movement; in another embodiment is for Actuation of the magazine holder provided a slide, which is also designed in two parts, wherein the two parts are telescopically adjustable relative to each other and are pressed apart by an inner spring. In order to prevent falling out of at least one slider part from the receptacle in the pistol grip, a fuse is provided by means of a pin. The magazine holder is pressed by a compression spring into its rest position. For this detent position, in which engages the front of the locking element in an opening in the magazine, the slider on each of the two handle sides can be pressed inward for releasing the magazine, so that a conical control surface presses the magazine holder away from the magazine.

A similar construction with two slide parts for a two-sided solution of the magazine holder is from the EP 251 721 A known. Here, the magazine holder is formed by a spring-acted pivot lever which has on both sides of the locking nose-lever end inclined surfaces which cooperate with the slider parts.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a magazine holder which is detachable from both sides, with maximum safety, ease of use and with a minimum of parts, which are also easy to manufacture.

This object is achieved by a gun as defined in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are specified in the subclaims.

Thus, the triggering of the magazine holder by a movement transverse to the weft direction without any intermediate member by pressing on one of the two protruding from the handle ends of the sliding block slide. The shooter presses with the Thumb on the left end, the left shooter on the right. The slide gate itself is essentially a pin with a footprint and two grooves with rectangular cross-section, and thus very easy and cheap to manufacture. The nose on the cartridge magazine is easy to install.

The slide gate is held in the invention of two oppositely acting spring bars in the center position, which are mounted approximately vertically in the interior of the handle. The substantially rod-shaped springs claim (compared to screw or hairpin springs) despite large spring forces in the interior of the handle almost no space.

Preferably, stop surfaces are provided in the interior of the handle, which limit the bending path of the spring bars. This can be ensured that the sliding block in its simplest possible execution can not be pushed out of the handle.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, one of the two grooves widens downwards, so that it extends at its lower end into the path of movement of the nose during insertion of the cartridge magazine, wherein the nose moves the sliding block against the force of a spring temporarily from its center position. Thus, the slide gate is pushed when inserting the cartridge magazine from the stiff nose to the side and brought into the middle position after successful insertion of the spring. The production of the nose is very simple and does not require major structural changes of the cartridge magazine; if it is made of sheet metal, simple notching is sufficient; If it is a plastic injection molded part, it is simply sprayed on.

In another embodiment of the invention, the nose on the front wall of the cartridge magazine is resilient and sits with its movable lower end on the sliding block on. Here, the nose is pressed when inserting the cartridge magazine from the slide as a pawl and its end is fixed after passing the slide on the top. To trigger this is again pushed in the same way in one of the two directions and the nose can slide down through one of the two grooves.

In FIG. 1 the gun 1 according to the invention is indicated by dash-dotted lines with its contour. Her inside hollow handle 2 takes a push-in from below (arrow 4) cartridge magazine 3, short magazine, on. In height of the voltage applied to the handle 2 thumb of the shooter is on both sides of an opening 5, protruding through both sides of a triggering device for the magazine 3.

In FIGS. 2 and 3 the triggering device itself is recognizable. The openings 5 penetrate the two side walls 7 of the handle 2 and guide a sliding block 8. This is held by two rod springs 9,10 in its center position when no external forces act on him. The rod springs 9,10 are, for example, resilient wire pieces and arranged vertically in a shallow niche 14 in the front wall of the handle 2. The lateral boundary walls of the niche 14 form abutment surfaces 11 for the bar springs 9,10, whereby the displacement of the sliding block 8 is limited. The lower ends of the bar springs 9, -10 stuck in each case in a bore 13, their upper ends act in the opposite direction on the slide link 8. The two rod springs 9,10 could also be a single U-shaped bottom bent rod, its cross-section can be round or be flat. In any case, such a shape and arrangement of the springs provides a maximum of force with a minimum of space requirements (see 9, 10, 14 in FIG FIG. 1 ).

In FIGS. 2 and 3 you can also see the front wall of the magazine 3 with a nose 12. If the magazine 3 is made of sheet metal, this can be easily made by notching, as in the embodiment described here. But it could also be welded, or sprayed on a plastic magazine. Anyway, here she is a stiff body with a horizontal support surface 15, which cooperates in a manner to be described with the sliding block 8.

In FIG. 4 is the sliding block 8 in detail from below and in FIG. 5 to be seen from behind. He is an approximately cuboid body, at the ends of pressure pieces 18 are provided with grooved surface and enlarged cross-section. Their contour corresponds to the shape of the openings 5. A guide surface 20 on the side facing the magazine 3 of the sliding block 8 is interrupted by two slightly eccentrically arranged vertical grooves 21,22 of rectangular cross-section. The first groove 21 is extended downwardly by the nearer wall 25 of the middle inclined by an angle 26 and exceeds the center line. The second groove 22 has a constant cross section. Between the upper ends of the two grooves 21,22 of the slide 8 has a footprint 27 for the support surface 15 of the nose 12. Between the grooves 21,22 and the mutual pressure pieces 18 are pockets 23,24 for engaging the upper ends of the rod springs. 9 , 10 provided.

The operation of the device according to the invention is based on the FIG. 5 and various phases a), b), c) and d): In FIG. 5a is the sliding block 8 in its central equilibrium position. The magazine 3 is just inserted from below and his nose 12 has just reached the entrance of the first extended groove 21.

In the phase according to Fig. 5b slides the nose 12 in the groove 21 upwards, where it moves the sliding block 8 against the force of the spring 9 to the right because of the inclined wall 25.

In the phase according to Fig. 5c the nose 12 has reached the height of the footprint 27, the spring 9 brings the sliding block 8 back to its center position, wherein the footprint 27 pushes under the support surface 15 of the nose 12. The magazine 3 is now fully inserted and locked in this way.

Dann fällt die Nase 12 durch die erste Nut 21.In the phase according to Fig. 5d has the shooter (with his thumb 30), the magazine 3 released for change by the cam slide 8 has pressed against the force of the spring 10 to the left. When the nose 12 has reached the second groove, it can move down, and with it the magazine. The same way, the magazine holder can be triggered by pressing on the other side. Then the nose 12 falls through the first groove 21st

In the modified embodiment of FIGS. 6 and 7 identical parts lead again to the same reference numerals. The difference lies in the shape of the grooves of the sliding block 38 and in the spring-elastic nose 52 on the front wall of the magazine 3. The two grooves 41,42 are of constant cross-section. The resilient nose 52 is pressed during insertion of the magazine 3 with its lower end 53 in the manner of a pawl, so that it passes without lateral displacement of the sliding block 38 in the locked position in which rests its support surface 15 on the footprint 27. The triggering of the magazine holder takes place again as described above.

A pistol with a hollow pistol grip (2) which receives a magazine (3) for rounds insertable from below, the magazine, when completely inserted, being retained in the pistol grip, wherein in the front part of the pistol grip (2), a sliding block (8; 38) is arranged displaceably in transverse direction, which sliding block is held in a middle position by at least one spring (9, 10), characterised in that the magazine (3) has a lug (12; 52) on its front wall, which lug, in the middle position of the sliding block (8; 38), rests on the sliding block (8; 38), and that the sliding block (8; 38) has a respective vertical groove (21, 22; 41; 42) on each side of the lug (12; 52), which groove, by displacement of the sliding block (8; 38) in either one of the two directions, can be brought into the path of movement of the lug (12; 52) when inserting or pulling out the magazine (3).
  2. The pistol with a magazine for rounds according to claim 1, characterised in that the sliding block (8; 38) is held in its middle position by two counter-acting bar springs (9, 10) which are approximately vertically mounted in the interior of the pistol grip (2).
  3. The pistol with a magazine for rounds according to claim 2, characterised in that stop faces (11) delimiting the path of the bar springs (9, 10) are provided in the interior of the pistol grip (2).
  4. The pistol with a magazine for rounds according to claim 1, characterised in that one (21) of the two grooves (21, 22) widens downwardly so that, at its lower end, it extends into the path of movement of the lug (12) during insertion of the magazine (3), wherein the lug (12) temporarily moves the sliding block (8) out of its middle position, against the force of at least one spring (9, 10).
  5. The pistol with a magazine for rounds according to claim 1, characterised in that the lug (12) of the magazine (3) is attached by notching.
  6. The pistol with a magazine for rounds according to claim 1, characterised in that the lug (12) is injection-moulded to the magazine (3).
