Description
Verfahren zum Einbringen von anorganischen Festkörpern in heiße, flüssige SchmelzenProcess for the introduction of inorganic solids into hot, liquid melts
The invention relates to a method for introducing inorganic solids into hot, liquid melts.
Metallurgical melts and / or slags are considered hot, liquid melts, which e.g. in an oven.
Zuschlagstoffe werden z.B. in folgenden metallurgischen Prozessen eingesetzt:In metallurgy, additives often have to be added to the hot, liquid metals or slags in the various processing stages. This affects both the iron and steel industry and non-ferrous metallurgy. Aggregates are e.g. used in the following metallurgical processes:
- Primärmetallurgie: Produkte zur Verflüssigung der Schlackenbildner während der Einschmelzphase und Zuschlagstoffe für die Hochofenindustrie zwecks Verlängerung der Haltbarkeit der feuerfesten Auskleidung des Hochofengestells- Primary metallurgy: products for the liquefaction of the slag formers during the melting phase and additives for the blast furnace industry in order to extend the durability of the refractory lining of the blast furnace frame
Additives that chemically influence the properties of both liquid metals and liquid slags can be used, as can additives that physically influence the consistency of the respective reactants. As a rule, when the physical influence is affected, the melting point is reduced in order to influence the metallurgical reaction kinetics of the systems in such a way that the reaction is made possible in the first place and, moreover, accelerated.
BESTATIGUNGSKOPIE
In this final phase of the metallurgical production stages, an attempt is made to adjust the properties of the end products at the last possible point immediately before the casting process by adding metallurgically active substances, as well as by physical means by adding exogenous germs, the solidification structure of the to physically influence the respective metals to be cast.
Schlacken) einbringen zu können, bedient man sich u.a. der folgenden bekannten Technologien :In order to be able to introduce the additives in the respective processing stages into the hot, liquid melts (metals or slags), one of the following is used: of the following known technologies:
- Zugabe der normalen, grobkörnigen Zuschlagstoffe aus diversen, meist vollautomatischen Wiege- und Bunkersystemen, über einfache Transportrutschen und Trichtersysteme.- Add the normal, coarse-grained aggregates from various, mostly fully automatic weighing and bunker systems, via simple transport chutes and funnel systems.
- Zugabe von Zuschlagstoffen in sackartigen Verpackungsformen, z.B. Säcke oder Big Bags, entweder per Hand oder mittels Krananlagen.Addition of additives in sack-like packaging forms, e.g. Sacks or big bags, either by hand or using crane systems.
- Zugabe der Zuschlagstoffe mittels Fülldrähten. Dabei enthalten die Hohlräume der Fülldrähte (oftmals bestehend aus einem metallischen Legierungsmittel) den/die jeweiligen Zuschlagstoff(e).- Adding the aggregates using cored wires. The cavities of the cored wire (often consisting of a metallic alloying agent) contain the respective aggregate (s).
These usually consist of a weighing and bunker system with a downstream gas pressure injection system. In terms of machine technology, gas pressure systems are adapted to the respective requirements of the application objectives (e.g. high or low pressure systems). Depending on requirements, compressed air, nitrogen or other gases can be used as the conveying gases. If aggregates are to be blown into the furnace (e.g. blast furnace) without direct liquid contact, the solid aggregate can be introduced into the furnace chamber against the furnace pressure using a fixed blowing lance. If solid aggregates are to be blown into the boundary layer between liquid iron and liquid slag in the furnace (e.g. electric furnace) for the purpose of foaming slag, the blowing pressure must be adapted to the physical conditions of the metallurgical system. In this case, too, the injection lance must remain movable so that it can be flexibly adapted to the respective phases of the scrap melting process.
All systems have in common that the physical consistency of the additives has a significant influence on the addition technology. Due to their own weight, coarse-grained products easily fall into the melting range due to the rising process gases. Medium grain products, on the other hand, are sucked off by the buoyancy of the process gases or the suction forces of the filter systems before they can develop their desired effect in the liquid media. For this reason, they are packed in bags or big bags beforehand and then added to the system as a whole. Fine-grained aggregates cannot be protected from being packed in big bags or sacks from being sucked out of the liquid media by the thermals or suction forces after the sacks have burned down and being accumulated in the filter systems in an undesired manner.
Besonders bevorzugt haben 90 % der anorganischen Festkörperteilchen Korngrößen von 0,01 μm bis 5 mm, ganz besonders bevorzugt von 0,1 μm bis 2 mm.The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art and to show a new process with which, in particular, fine-particle, inorganic additives can be introduced into metallurgical melting systems. The task is solved by means of a procedure ^ for introduction. on ^ inorganic, solid bodies (= additives) in hot, liquid melts, whereby inorganic solids are added to a hydrocarbon-containing plastic and the mixture obtained is added to the hot, liquid melts. The inorganic solids are preferably added in fine-grained form. It is particularly preferred that 90% of the inorganic solid particles have grain sizes of 0.01 μm to 5 mm, very particularly preferably 0.1 μm to 2 mm.
The proportion of inorganic solids in the plastic is preferably 0.5 to 90% by weight, particularly preferably 2 to 70% by weight and very particularly preferably 5 to 50% by weight, in each case based on the mixture.
Substances containing titanium and / or iron oxide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, silicates or slag formers are preferably used individually or as a mixture as inorganic solids (= additive). In particular, the materials containing iron oxide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, silicates or slag formers can be industrial residues. The additive very particularly preferably contains synthetic titanium dioxide.
In addition to hydrocarbons, the plastic preferably also contains the element nitrogen. For economic reasons, used plastic is preferred as the plastic.
The mixture of plastic and aggregate can be produced in different ways:
The plastic is mixed in solid form (preferably as granules, matrix agglomerate or pot agglomerate) with the inorganic solids. The inorganic solids are preferably added to the plastic during the production of the plastic granulate. In the mixture obtained, the additive adheres to the plastic surface. This mixture is added to the hot, liquid substances (metallurgical melts and slags). - The plastic is mixed in liquid (molten) form with the inorganic solids. The mixture of melted plastic and inorganic solids (= additive) is preferably cooled, the mixture solidifying. The plastic-aggregate mixture can then be ground or shredded.
If the plastic-aggregate mixture is in an appropriate form (e.g. as a powder or granulate), the mixture can be introduced into the hot, liquid melts, preferably by blowing. The plastic-aggregate mixture can also be used in lump form. For this purpose, moldings of the desired shape size can be produced from the mixture by pressing.
It is an advantage of the method according to the invention that the additive can be metered very well by being introduced in a mixture with the plastic and can be introduced into the hot, liquid melts in a distributed form. This applies in particular to dust-like aggregates. Dusty, industrial residues containing iron oxide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, silicates or slag formers can be used for industrial recycling. These residues are preferably mixed with synthetic titanium dioxide and then mixed with the plastic as described.
Another advantage of the method according to the invention is that the plastic not only serves as a transport medium for the aggregate, but can also act as a reducing agent and / or energy source (in some cases replaces heavy oil or coal). In the event that the additive contains titanium, in particular synthetic titanium compounds, the plastic in the hot, liquid melt contributes to the desired formation of titanium carbides and, if the element nitrogen is present, titanium nitrides and titanium carbonitrides. These connections improve e.g. the refractory properties of the furnace wall in furnace systems.
