Definitions
- the present invention refers to an automatic rocking device.
- the automatic rocking device of the invention is used to rock the baby in an optimal manner, with an adjustable rhythm and includes a music player that helps in calming the baby.
- the rocking device comprises a cuddly toy of different shapes, inside which there is a space that allocates a heavy item that slides in a longitudinal swinging manner through rails mounted in a structure inside the space. The movement is produced by a motorized worm.
- the body mounts a toe along the double helical slot of the worm, getting the toe adapted to the extreme changes of sense of the slot.
- a voltage regulator to vary the speed of the spinning, and hence of the worm, as well as a music player, with its buttons on the outside.
- Figure 1 shows a view of the whole rocking device of the invention
- Figure 2 shows a detail of the mechanism inside the space of the rocking part of the invention
- Figure 3 shows an exploded view of the casing and the elements which it has in its inside of the rocking device of the invention
- Figure 4 is a perspective view of the remote control of the rocking device of the present invention
- Figure 5 is a perspective view of the bag where the rocking device of this invention is allocated, provided with a strap
- Figure 6 is a perspective view of a potential application of the rocking device of this invention, in this case in a baby carriage
- Figure 7 is an exploded view of the components of the peg used to affix the rocking device of the present invention
- Figure 8 is a perspective view of the peg in figure 7
- Figure 9 is a perspective view of knob which is a part of the peg in figures 7 and 8
- Figure 10 is a perspective view of a cradle mounted on a base specially designed to be used with the rocking device of the invention.
- the rocking device 1 of the invention comprises a cuddly toy 2 inside which there is a tubular casing 3 inside which there is a structure 4 comprising two discs 5 connected by four bars 6 screwed, including some rails 7 in a bar shape th-rough which goes, from one end to the other, a right weight inertial body 8 when activated by a worm 9.
- the body 8 has several holes 10 with a slippery coating 11, through which there are the rails, mounting a toe 12 which freely rotates and that goes through the double helical slot 13 of the worm, pulling the body from one side to the other.
- the worm 9 is activated by means of gears 14 activated by an electric engine 15 supplied by some batteries 16 mounted in a support 17, adding a voltage regulator 18 to modify the speed.
- an electric engine 15 supplied by some batteries 16 mounted in a support 17, adding a voltage regulator 18 to modify the speed.
- the casing 3 there is also a little music player 19 which cooperates in calming the baby.
- the casing has two lids 20 screwed in which the controls 21 for the connection of the engine and the music player are fixated, as well as the speed control.
- the spinning elements are mounted over frames, which can be seen in figure 3 but are not referenced, to improve the working life and the smoothness of operation.
- the rocking device of the present invention can comprise a remote control 22, represented in figure 4.
- This remote control 22 comprises one or several buttons 23, trough which, at least the following functions, can be activated: stop of the movement of the inertial body, high speed, low speed, recording of a person's voice, listening to such a recording and direct communication.
- Such a remote control 22 also comprises a receptor 24 and a transmitter 25, which allow the intercommunication with the rocking device 1.
- this means anywhere where a baby can be, such a casing 3 can be allocated inside a bag 26 provided with a strip 27, as shown in figure 5.
- this bag 26, by means of its strips 27, can be put around the handle of the baby carriage, as represented in figure 6.
- the bag 26 also comprises a couple of pockets 28 to affix a peg 29, represented in figures 7 and 8.
- Such a peg 29 comprises: - A fixed lower support 30 substantially in a J shape which comprises a knurling 35 and a notch 36 formed by two leaning walls; - A movable upper support 31, which together with the fixed lower support 30 embraces the place where it is fixed, and which also comprises a knurling 35 to affix its position regarding the fixed lower support 31, and a notch 37 formed by two leaning walls; - A positioning support 32, to keep the rocking device in a substantially horizontal position; - A slat 33 which supports the weight of the rocking device 1 and its internal movement; and - A knob 34, which joins the rest of pieces which form the peg 29 together.
- the positioning support 32 comprises a plurality of slots 38 leaning in a different manner to allocate a nerve 39 in such a slat 33.
- the rocking device in this invention is always in a substantially horizontal position, allocating the nerve 39 in the slot 38 which is the most adequate to achieve such a position.
- the knob 34 comprises a plurality of projections 40 allocated in a plurality of holes 41 provided in such a slat 33. These projections have the function of offering a certain amount of resistance to the unscrewing of the knob 34, achieving a self-blocking system preventing the vibration of the rocking device of this invention to loose the peg.
