Claims (10)

  1. Modular electric apparatus for the protection of an electric line comprising, in a plastic material casing:
    - at least two connection terminals to the electric line,
    - a command handle (2) able to move between two stable positions, driving:
    - a locking mechanism (3) piloting the opening and closing of the electric connection between the two connection terminals,
    - a fixed electric contact and a moving electric contact, opening and closing the electric connection under the action of the locking mechanism (3),
    - a thermal trip bimetal (7) acting on the locking mechanism (3) via a tripper bar (8) in the event of an electric overload on the line, said tripper bar having a float arrangement in the casing,
    - and means for adjusting the trip threshold of the bimetal (7);
    characterized in that the adjustment means are integrated in the tripper bar (8).
  2. Electric apparatus as in claim 1, characterized in that the tripper bar (8) slides in translation within the casing and has two active contact zones (8c,10) oriented in the opposite direction with respect to the direction of sliding, said active zones (8c,10) being respectively designed to be driven by the bimetal (7) and to act on the locking mechanism (3), the adjustment means (11) being used to modify the distance between them.
  3. Electric apparatus as in the preceding claim, characterized in that the adjustment means (11) act on the positioning of at least one of the active zones (8c,10) with respect to the other.
  4. Electric apparatus as in either of claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the tripper bar (8) is U-shaped whose bottom part slides in the casing and the branches comprise active zones (8c,10).
  5. Electric apparatus as in the preceding claim characterized in that the active zone (10) cooperating with the bimetal(7) consists of the free end of an element (11) projecting beyond a branch in the direction of the bimetal (7) and adjustable parallel to the bottom of the tripper bar (8).
  6. Electric apparatus as in the preceding claim, characterized in that said adjustable element is a self-tapping screw (11) fixed to the branch.
  7. Electric apparatus as in either of claims 5 and 6 characterized in that said element (11) projects beyond the branch towards the inside of the U, the other active zone (8c) cooperating with the locking mechanism (3) then also facing towards the inside of the U.
  8. Electric apparatus as in any of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that it comprises an electromagnetic subassembly ensuring the parting of the fixed (5) and moving (4) electric contacts in the event of a short circuit.
  9. Electric apparatus as in claim 8 characterized in that the bimetal (7) is fixed to one end (14) of an induction coil (6) of the electromagnetic subassembly, which is fixed with respect to the casing.
  10. Modular electric apparatus as in claim 8 or 9 characterized in that it forms an electric circuit breaker.
