Abstract

Description

The invention relates to the use of an aqueous composition for wrinkle recovery of textiles and to a process for finishing textiles for wrinkle recovery.

The composition of such crease-resistant equipment is mainly synthetic, but this is questionable in terms of environmental compatibility and biodegradability. In addition, the problem often arises with synthetic substances that the use of such garment equipment can cause allergic reactions in the wearer and therefore the crease resistant finish is unsuitable for many textiles.

The term "cleaning" refers to all processes that are common for purifying textiles be done, such as washing textiles in the washing machine, hand washing or even just rinsing the laundry or dry cleaning.

Furthermore, in the context of the present invention, the term "wrinkle recovery" is understood to mean that wrinkles or wrinkles of dry or even moist, not necessarily cleaned, textiles are almost completely removed.

The first object is achieved according to the invention in that the aqueous composition is sprayed onto the textiles and the textiles are then dried again. Advantages of this composition are not only their cost-effective individual components and the ease of manufacture, but also the good environmental compatibility through the biodegradability. With respect to the interfacial activity of the emulsifiers, it is advantageous if the emulsifiers are one or more surfactants.

These are preferably selected from the group of anionic and / or cationic surfactants. Advantageously, both types of surfactants are used. In this case, they are preferably present in a mixing ratio of preferably 50:50 M / M, since the anionic surfactants favor the reduction of the interfacial tension and the cationic surfactants are well suited as plasticizers.

With respect to the vegetable oil (s), it is advantageous if it is oil from fruit fat fats, such as avocado oil, olive oil, palm oil and the like, as well as mixtures thereof.

According to a further feature of the invention, the composition used comprises fatty alcohols. If cationic surfactants are predominantly present as emulsifiers, fatty alcohols, which are known to be the building blocks and educts of the anionic surfactants, serve as an effective supplement. If a mixture of anionic and cationic surfactants is used, additionally added fatty alcohols are a suitable enrichment.

Likewise, it is favorable if the composition comprises quaternary ammonium compounds. Examples of effective substances include so-called esterquats. Their property as cation-active care substances is particularly advantageous if anionic surfactants are used as emulsifiers for the majority of the composition. For example, it is conceivable that an O / W emulsion of fatty alcohols, emulsifiers and quaternary ammonium compounds in water is added to the composition.

In terms of longevity and shelf life of the composition, in particular to avoid rancidity and mold growth, it is advantageous if the composition comprises stabilizers, such as antioxidants. Here, for example, phenols, ascorbic, lactic, citric or tartaric acid and their salts and the like can be used.

In order to prevent discoloration of the vegetable oils or optionally other constituents, such as, for example, fragrances / flavorings, on the textiles, it is advantageous if the composition comprises bleaching agents, such as, for example, peroxides, perborates and the like. Thus, it is possible to avoid undesirable color reactions and / or colorations in the use of the composition, such as in light or white textiles.

In return, it may also be desirable to intensify the color of the textiles. It is therefore advantageous if dyes are included in the composition. In this way For example, the composition may be provided with a dark dye to prevent, for example, washing out of the dark textile dye and to refresh the fabrics with paint.

For a pleasant odor, it is favorable if the composition comprises fragrances and / or flavorings. These can be synthetic. For example, some softeners contain fragrances and / or flavorings. Thus, it is conceivable to add a softener to the composition of the equipment. Preferably, however, the fragrances and / or flavorings are naturally based.

The object of the invention regarding the provision of a method for finishing textiles for wrinkle recovery is achieved by spraying the equipment with the related composition according to claim 1 onto the textiles and then drying the textiles again. The said composition of the textile equipment may condition the textile fibers such that ironing of the textile is not or practically no longer necessary. The fabrics need not necessarily be cleaned to achieve the desired effect, but the equipment can be easily sprayed on crumpled fabrics and dried. The process is very simple in concept and no costly expenses are required.

It is advantageous if the composition is diluted with water before application to the textiles. Preferably, the vegetable oil or oils and the emulsifier (s) are in a W / O emulsion. The dilution factor can be varied as desired.

In the following the invention will be explained in more detail by means of an example.

Example 1:

15 ml of aloe vera oil are emulsified with 30 ml of surfactant concentrate of anionic and cationic surfactants (in a ratio of 50:50) in 1 liter of water. As an example, it should be mentioned that so-called base oils from the pharmacy or health food store, which are available on the market as vegetable oils, have been used. These oils can be refined oils, preferably non-refined oils.

With regard to the quantities, it should also be noted that best results could be observed with the same mixing ratio between vegetable oil (s) and emulsifiers. Good results could also be obtained with such a varied ratio that oil: emulsifier 1: 2 was used. In the course of the experiments, it has been found that an oil content of the vegetable oil (s) of 15 ml is effective in terms of freedom from ironing. Using lower volumes, no such good results could be observed. Furthermore, it was found that an emulsifier content in 15 ml of oil of more than 80 ml does not give favorable results.

With regard to the proportions of the anionic to cationic surfactants, it should be noted that tests have shown that the ratio of 50:50 can also vary. For example, it is possible to use a 40:60, 30:70 or 60:40, 70:30 ratio of anionic to cationic surfactants.

The results have shown that the addition of hair balm, whether in liquid form or in the form of a foam, causes a particularly good crease recovery of the textiles.

1. Use of an aqueous composition which comprises one or more vegetable oil(s) and one or more emulsifier(s) for crease recovery of textiles, characterised in that the composition is sprayed onto the textiles and, subsequently, the textiles are dried again.
