Definitions

  • Subject of the invention is a method to check out the foot position in shoe, especially in a child's shoe.
  • a system to check out the foot position in shoe known from the Polish patent specification No 165 137 provides that at least one marker is placed on a shoe's sole in its area corresponding to the foot fingers and at least one marker is placed at the side edge of the sole in its widest place while at least a part of the sole is transparent and first pair of markers and two second parts of markers are placed on it. Markers of the first pair of markers and firs pair of two second pairs of markers are placed one after one in the longitudinal direction of the sole. The first pair of markers is located in a place corresponding to the foot fingers and two second pairs of markers are located each at each opposite side edge of the transparent front part of the sole in its widest place.
  • the sole has got a set of anti-abrasive tops located on its bottom surface.
  • a device producing an alarm signal under pressure may be a sound elastic plate situated in the sole area corresponding to fingers of the foot or electrical circuit placed in the middle layer of a pad with at least one switcher, source of power and generator of the alarm signal whereas a source of power may be a battery, including a sun battery.
  • Advantage of a system to check out the foot position in shoe especially a child's foot is the fact that it is not harmful and may be used in each shoe regardless the shape.
  • the system is easy in use and determines the correct dimension of a shoes during purchase in an easy way and indicates when the shoe shall be replaced into a bigger one. Additional sound signal or visual (light) signal enables to see it and to lead to correct adjustment of a shoe by parents or teachers. It makes it possible to avoid a danger of deformation of a growing foot caused by too short or too narrow shoes worn by the children.
  • a disadvantage of the system is the fact that at least a part of the sole must be transparent. Furthermore, it is recommended to make at least one transparent cut or at least one transparent window or cut at each part of the ankle.
  • Such a system based upon this invention requires the application of a specially produced shoe and not a shoe produced in series. Such a system may be used at design works and not in real shop conditions during the purchase of shoes. It is not possible for each shop to have a set of shoes in various dimensions of models prepared for the measurement corresponding to all models of shoes and their dimensions included in the current offer of a shop. Additional problem would be the necessity to separate additional stock space to store specially produced sample shoes.
  • a device to measure the foot dimension described in the Polish utility model specification No 58 308 for mechanic measurement of the foot of especially small children with a basic plate, permanent absorber and a second movable absorber situated in the opposite, on the basic plate with a fence and a side slider, transversally moved towards the move of the movable absorber and fastened on it.
  • the movable absorber and a slider have got devices to measure the length and the wideness of the foot. This device is easy in service and it may be served with one hand and enables a precise measurement of the child's foot.
  • a disadvantage is the necessity to measure in a standing position while the entire weight of the body is placed on feet.
  • the aim of the invention is to elaborate a method to check out the foot position in shoe especially in child's shoe enabling quick and precise check out of the adjustment of shoe by the measurement of the distance of the end of a big toe from the internal surface of shoe.
  • This aim of the invention has been achieved by the elaboration of a method to check out the foot position in shoe that according to the invention provides that an element causing disturbances in the electrical or magnetic field shall be placed in the crest of a shoe, the shoe shall be placed in the required position near to electromagnetic coil, the electromagnetic field is produced, and signal being the reference signal disturbing the electromagnetic field is measured.
  • the element shall be placed on a big toe of the foot, foot shall be put to the shoe and the foot shall be moved in shoe to the location in which the heel contacts internal part of shoe - and the foot shall be put in the device in such a position as during the measurement of the reference signal, the signal disturbing the electromagnetic field shall be repeatedly measured and compared to the primary measurement, the distance between the crest of the big toe and internal surface of the shoe's crest shall be determined and the result of the measurement shall be presented in any form.
  • electromagnetic field shall be produced by electromagnetic coil of any construction and parameters.
  • the result of the measurement of the distance between a crest of big toe and internal surface of shoe's crest in form of a schematic picture of foot in shoe in cross-section is presented while the distance between fingers of the foot and internal surface of shoe is displayed.
  • the aim of the invention has been also achieved by a method to check out the foot location in shoe providing that data on a single dimension of a shoe model shall be entered and element disturbing the electrical or magnetic field shall be placed on a big toe of the foot, the foot is put to the she and moved in the shoe in the position in which the heel contacts the internal part of shoe - the leg in shoe shall be put in the required position to the measuring system which is electromagnetic coil, electromagnetic field shall be produced and a disturbing signal shall be measured from the element, next, the distance between the crest of the big toe and internal surface of the shoe's crest shall be specified while comparing the result of the measurement with entered data, and the result of the measurement of the distance shall be presented in any form.
  • electromagnetic field shall be produced by electromagnetic coil of any construction and parameters.
  • the method and system enable to check out the foot position in any shoe available in a shop or in a whole-sale as well as in the manufacturing premises and even in the stage of designing.
  • the method to check out the foot position in shoe provides the detection and measurement of the disturbances of the magnetic field under the influence of electrical field causing such strong disturbances of the field that it may be measured.
  • Such an element may be for example be a strip of aluminum foil of any shape and dimension that may be directly glued to a finger or on a sock.
  • a disturbing element may also be a sock made of a proper material.
  • the disturbing element shall be placed in the shoe crest and the shoe shall be put in the required position based upon the device and signal disturbing electromagnetic field being a reference signal shall be measured and the system shall be zeroed by eliminating settings of previous measurements and/or compensating disturbing signals from the environment from any elements or metal objects such as shop equipment, door keys, watches with a metal wristlet located near the coil.
  • the disturbing element shall be located on a big toe of foot and the foot shall be put to the shoe and moved in the shoe in the position in which the heel contacts the internal part of the shoe- and the foot shall be put on a plate of the device in such a location as while zeroing of the system, the signal shall be measured and compared to the primary zeroing measurement and the distance between the big toe crest and internal surface of shoe crest shall be determined.
  • the electromagnetic field is produced by an electromagnetic coil of any construction and parameters.
  • a result of the measurement of the distance between a big toe crest and internal surface of a shoe crest can be presented in digital form in measuring units of lenght, for instance it can be centimeters, millimeters, inches etc.
  • a result of the measurement of the distance between a big toe crest and internal surface of a shoe crest can also be presented as a schematic picture of foot in shoe in cross-section, it may be a longitudinal cross-section of a shoe with a foot from the side view in such a way to provide a distance between fingers of foot and internal surface of a shoe. It is obvious that also in this case a result of the measurement in digital form can be presented in addition to the picture.
  • a result of the measurement of the distance between a big toe crest and internal surface of shoe crest shall be presented as a verbal communicate of a speaker, for instance "shoe too big”, “shoe too small”, or "shoe is good”.
  • a result of the measurement of a distance between a big toe crest and internal surface of shoe crest can be presented in a digital form in measuring units of the length and in form of a verbal communicate of a speaker or any forms of the presentation of a measurement result can be used as a schematic picture of a foot in the cross-section, in digital form and a verbal communicate of a speaker.
  • both primary measurement and measurement made when shoe is put to a foot shall be signaled by any sound signal or by any light signal or by both these signals simultaneously.
  • a sound signal may be a gong, any melody, voice of a speaker or combination of these signals, for instance a gong and a voice of a speaker "measurement started” or “measurement completed”.
  • a light signal can be a lamp flesh in any color or illumination of the base of the device during the measurement as such, etc.
  • the method according to invention in another example of realisation provides that data on a single dimension of a determined model of a shoe is entered and element disturbing electrical or magnetic field shall be put on a big toe of the foot, the foot shall be put to the shoe and moved in the shoe in a position in which the heel contacts the internal part of the shoe; the leg with the shoe shall be put in required position to the measuring system which is electromagnetic coil, electromagnetic field shall be produced and a disturbing signal shall be measured from the element; the distance between the crest of a big toe and internal surface of a shoe crest shall be determined while comparing the result of the measurement with entered data and a result in any form shall be presented.
  • the method is simplified compared to the previous one, because it does not require the primary measurement of each shoe before it has been put on by a buyer but it is subject of a relevant big data base and it is more complicated and more expensive - it may be used in big shops or factory shops.
  • the method according to the invention is easy to use and determines a correct dimension of a shoe during its purchase in a correct way and indicates when the shoe shall be replaced into a bigger one. Additional sound signal, especially a voice of the speaker or visual signal helps to notice when the shoe shall be replaced and correctly adjusted by the parents of teachers.
  • the possibility of data display i.e. the distance between the crest of a big shoe of foot and internal wall of shoe crest enables to make a decision by a person accompanying a child if a shoe is correct and executes its expectations or if the person prefers to buy a bigger shoe. It enables to avoid a danger of deformation of a growing foot caused by wearing too small shoes or to avoid children to fall down in case of too big shoes.
