Die Beleuchtungsvorrichtung 1 weist ein Verbindungselement 9 zur Verbindung des Leuchtenkörpers 2 mit einem Gehäuse 8 auf. Die elektrische Energiespeicher 7 wird vorzugsweise von einer oder mehreren Trockenzellen gebildet, beispielsweise Knopfzellen, Mignon- oder Mikrozellen, oder wiederaufladbaren Akkumulatoren. Zur Bereitstellung einer Versorgungsspannung von beispielsweise 3 V können beispielsweise zwei Mignonzellen vorgesehen sein. Die elektrische Energiespeicher 7 dient über die Versorgungsleitungen 16 überdies als Stromversorgung für den Sender 13 und den Empfänger 14. Die elektrischen Leitungen 15, 16 sind aus optischen Gründen vorzugsweise innerhalb des hohl ausgeführten Verbindungselements 9 sowie innerhalb des Leuchtenkörpers 2 und des Gehäuses 8 angeordnet. Die elektrische Energiespeicher 7 ist innerhalb des Gehäuses 8 angeordnet. Die Unterbrechung der Stromversorgung erfolgt mittels eines Schaltelements, das hier als Schalter 10, beispielsweise ein Ein-Aus-Schalter oder ein mehrstufiges oder stufenloses Schaltelement zum Einstellen unterschiedlicher Helligkeiten des Leuchtelements 3 ausgeführt ist.
