Definitions
- the invention relates to a ring which enables the rotation of the ring itself to be prevented or made less likely to occur, providing better fitness, with the ring being made less likely to be caught by cloths when wearing the same.
- Conventional rings have been shaped round.
- a ring of a round shape tends to rotate when wearing the same, often positioning a decorative part thereof not in its right frontal position, but in a sideward position.
- a round shape ring gives pressure against ringers adjacent to the finger wearing the ring.
- a round shape ring easily clicks against a solid object that is held by a palm, thus often causing uncomfortable feeing.
- a number of conventional rings are designed so as to have the decorative part provided with a gem held in place by a claw or partial lug, which is often caught in clothes a user is wearing, such as sweaters and stockings.
- a conventional method in which a gem is embedded in ground metal has a drawback that it fails to maximize the beauty of the gem.
- the inner circumference of the ring is formed in a round corner quadrangular shape so that it is closer to a finger's contour, as illustrated in Fig. 1, wherein a cutout of an elliptic or circular arc shape as denoted by symbol (a) is formed in the center of each of other three sides in a case where the decorative part is protruding from one side, or of four sides in a case where the decorative part is not protruding, whereby the ring itself can be prevented from being rotated sideways by the force developed by the contact with adjacent fingers. Further, when a user grasps the ring lightly with something solid being held in a palm, clicking sound generated when the ring clicks against the ring is reduced, providing better fitness.
- suitable material such as metal is wound around the gem to define an annular part, as illustrated in Fig. 5, which is then coupled with a holding part (c) adjacent to the ring.
- the annular part and the holding part thus coupled are cut in the two directions, i.e., vertically and horizontally, as illustrated with (d) in the drawings, and the gem is firmly held in place, utilizing an elastic force which the above-mentioned metal has. Thereafter, it is fixed, using screws or pins, and then caulked.
- the gem is surrounded by the annular part, and thus it is possible to prevent the decorative part with the gem from being caught in clothes or the like.
- the shape of the gem to be placed in the decorative part may be quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, or any other polygon, or otherwise round.
- the gem is cut so as to have a sharp edge around the entire periphery thereof, which is then provided with the annular metal wound therearound to thereby hold the gem in place.

Abstract
Description
- The invention relates to a ring which enables the rotation of the ring itself to be prevented or made less likely to occur, providing better fitness, with the ring being made less likely to be caught by cloths when wearing the same.
- Conventional rings have been shaped round. However, a ring of a round shape tends to rotate when wearing the same, often positioning a decorative part thereof not in its right frontal position, but in a sideward position. Further, a round shape ring gives pressure against ringers adjacent to the finger wearing the ring. Still further, a round shape ring easily clicks against a solid object that is held by a palm, thus often causing uncomfortable feeing. Moreover, a number of conventional rings are designed so as to have the decorative part provided with a gem held in place by a claw or partial lug, which is often caught in clothes a user is wearing, such as sweaters and stockings. On the other hand, a conventional method in which a gem is embedded in ground metal has a drawback that it fails to maximize the beauty of the gem.
- Further, in order to hold the decorative part in place, suitable material such as metal is wound around the gem to define an annular part, as illustrated in Fig. 5, which is then coupled with a holding part (c) adjacent to the ring. In the case where the gem is mounted thereto, the annular part and the holding part thus coupled are cut in the two directions, i.e., vertically and horizontally, as illustrated with (d) in the drawings, and the gem is firmly held in place, utilizing an elastic force which the above-mentioned metal has. Thereafter, it is fixed, using screws or pins, and then caulked.
- Accordingly, the gem is surrounded by the annular part, and thus it is possible to prevent the decorative part with the gem from being caught in clothes or the like. In the meantime, the shape of the gem to be placed in the decorative part may be quadrangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, or any other polygon, or otherwise round. The gem is cut so as to have a sharp edge around the entire periphery thereof, which is then provided with the annular metal wound therearound to thereby hold the gem in place.
-
- Fig. 1 illustrates a round corner quadrangular ring of the invention.
- Fig. 2 illustrates a round corner quadrangular ring with sides having an elliptic arc cutout in accordance with the invention.
- Fig. 3 illustrates a ring as illustrated in Fig. 2, further including the decorative part with a gem held therein, showing where the annular part and the ring are coupled with each other.
- Fig. 4 illustrates vertical and horizontal cutting planes (d) when mounting the gem thereto.
- Fig. 5 is a top plan view of the decorative part of the ring according to the invention.
Claims (3)
- A round corner quadrangular ring, wherein an inner circumference of the ring has such a round corner quadrangular shape that it is close to a circumference of a finger.
- The ring as recited in claim 1, wherein three or four sides of the ring are each formed to have an elliptic arc cutout (a).
- The ring as recited in claim 2, comprising a gem-holding part and an annular part surrounding said gem-holding part, said annular part being coupled with said ring by means of a component, with the inner circumference of the ring having such a round corner quadrangular shape that it is close to a circumference of a finger.
