Definitions
- the invention relates to a level gauge parabolic antenna with the preamble features of claim 1 and to a level gauge with such a parabolic antenna.
- Level measuring instruments are generally known with a level gauge parabolic antenna, which work with radar waves or microwaves to determine the level of a medium in a container.
- the parabolic antenna of such a level gauge is arranged inside a container wall.
- such a parabolic antenna consists of a parabolic mirror 2 and an excitation and / or receiver arrangement 3, which are arranged as a combined assembly in the focal point of the parabolic mirror.
- the parabolic mirror 2 has a parabolic mirror edge 20.
- the parabolic mirror 2 has a large ratio of focal length f to diameter D, d. That is, it is a flat parabolic mirror 2.
- the ratio of focal length f to diameter D is, for example, 0.6.
- the exciter 3 is arranged far outside of the plane defined by the Parabolaptrand 20 interior of the parabolic mirror 2 by means of a waveguide 4.
- parabolic antenna with a parabolic mirror 2, within which a pathogen 3 is arranged, as can be seen from FIG.
- the parabolic mirror 2 is very deep and the exciter 3, which in turn is arranged by means of a waveguide 4 within the parabolic mirror 2, is located on the same plane as the Parabolaptrand 20 or even axially within the parabolic mirror 2.
- An advantage of such an arrangement is that the excitation system or the exciter 3 is arranged protected within the parabolic or parabolic mirror 2. In addition, an over-radiation of the parabolic mirror 2 is not possible. Disadvantageously, however, such a parabolic mirror 2 is not completely illuminated, which leads to a lower antenna gain.
- Non-generic are known from the directional radio technology, for example, "Dr. Daniel Wojtkowiak, Consider Antenna Options For Minimal Interference, Microwaves & RF, May 2004, pages 76-86", parabolic mirror with a cylindrical extension, as shown in Fig. 4 can be seen.
- This parabolic antenna is a parabolic mirror 2 with a relatively large f / D ratio.
- a disadvantage of such an arrangement would be the overexposure of the parabolic mirror 2, which leads to undesirable side lobes, so-called sidelobes or backlobes.
- a collar is arranged on the parabolic mirror edge 20, which extends in the axial direction parallel to a central parabolic mirror axis X circumferentially.
- the collar extends from the parabolic mirror edge 20 so far that the exciter 3 is located within a space which is enclosed by the collar 9.
- the collar 9 is inside, ie in the direction of the exciter 3 is coated with or consists of an absorbent foam so that waves striking the collar 9 are absorbed.
- the object of the invention is to propose an alternative level measuring device parabolic antenna or a level measuring device with such.
- the level gauge parabolic antenna accordingly consists of a parabolic mirror with a Parabolaptrand, the Parabolaptrand merges into an additional collar with an outside collar edge.
- the parabolic antenna has a pathogen and / or receiver. It should be emphasized that the parabolic mirror and the collar formed integrally merge into one another and the exciter and / or receiver is disposed within a space defined by the parabolic mirror and / or by the collar interior. The exciter and / or receiver is therefore arranged in the axial direction within the collar edge.
- a level gauge with such a parabolic antenna in which the exciter and / or receiver within the interior, which is formed by the parabolic mirror, the collar edge and spanned by the collar edge surface, is arranged.
- a parabolic antenna is advantageous, in which the exciter and / or receiver does not protrude in the axial and frontal direction out of the inner space spanned in this way.
- the exciter and / or receiver partly arranged within a parabolic mirror rim, which forms the transition between the parabolic mirror and the collar, advantageously projects in the axial direction partly out of the region of the parabolic mirror edge and into the region which acts as a space is formed between the walls of the collar. That is, a part of the exciter and / or receiver is arranged in the axial direction within the parabolic mirror and another part inside the collar.
- the collar is configured at least on the inside such that it has a material which absorbs the rays of the pathogen.
- the parabolic mirror has a ratio of focal length to diameter of less than 1, in particular less than or equal to 0.6. Ratio values between 0.2 and 0.3 are particularly preferred, in particular in the range of about 0.27.
- such a parabolic antenna in which the parabolic mirror and the collar span an interior, which is covered by a radome and thereby receives pathogen and / or receiver protected.
- the parabolic mirror and the collar on the parabolic mirror edge are integrally formed into one another.
- the parabolic mirror edge is not a transition between two independent components but a transition of the geometric wall profile from a concave parabolic mirror to a particular rectilinear further extending collar wall.
- the collar is conical or cylindrical.
- Fig. 1 shows a sectional view through an exemplary parabolic antenna arrangement 1 of a level gauge.
- the parabolic antenna edge 20 passes into an additional collar 9 with an outside collar edge 90.
- the wall of the collar 9 advantageously extends approximately paraxially to a central parabolic mirror axis X of the parabolic mirror 2.
- the parabolic antenna also comprises a pathogen and / or receiver 3, which is arranged on the Farabolaptachse X and spaced from the rear wall of the parabolic mirror 2 with a spacing and waveguiding element, in particular an antenna tube or waveguide 4 and arranged.
- the waveguide 4 is on the rear side in a waveguide arrangement of at least one waveguide 5, at the rear end portion of a terminal 6 for a transmitting / receiving device is arranged.
- the transmitting / receiving device comprises electronics and components for generating an electromagnetic wave, in particular radar or microwave.
- a generated electromagnetic wave is transmitted from the terminal 6 through the waveguide 5 and the waveguide 4 to the exciter 3. From the exciter 3 of the wave is emitted in the direction of the parabolic mirror and reflected by this in the axis-parallel direction to the parabola mirror axis X.
- the wave is reflected by the filling material or the upper side of the surface and is usually at least partially picked up by the parabolic mirror 2.
- the wall of the parabolic mirror 2 reflects the back-reflected wave components to the receiver 3 of the exciter and receiver assembly 3. From the receiver 3, the recorded wave is transmitted via the waveguide 4 and the waveguide 5 via the terminal 6 to the receiving device of the transceiver and recorded in this.
- the electronics of the transmitting / receiving device or of a further downstream evaluation device determines the time difference between the emission of the electromagnetic wave and the reception of the electromagnetic wave reflected by the filling material or the surface. From this, the fill level of the contents in a container can be determined.
- the rear-side components in the region of the waveguide 5 have a fastening device 7, for example with a flange, in a manner known per se.
- a fastening device 7 for example with a flange
- the arrangement of the exciter and / or receiver 3. This is located so far within the arrangement of parabolic mirror 2 and collar 9, that the exciter and / or receiver 3 is partially disposed within the parabolic mirror rim 20 and partially outside of the parabolic mirror rim 20. That is, a part projects into the area of the parabolic mirror 2 and a part projects into the area Space between the wall of the collar 9 out.
- the exciter and / or receiver 3 is preferably received completely within the collar edge 90.
- the preferred parabolic antenna with the additionally mounted collar 9 as widened antenna edge thus offers a multiplicity of advantages compared with a conventional parabolic antenna system.
- a radiation of electromagnetic waves to the side (sidelobes) and to the back (backlobes) is suppressed. This brings especially when using the parabolic antenna in conjunction with a level gauge for measuring the Level in tight containers great advantages, since less interference reflections are detected in the vicinity.
- the exciter can be adjusted so that the complete parabolic mirror 2 is illuminated without being outshone. Another advantage is that the risk of damage to the exciter and / or receiver 3 during transport or during assembly by the arrangement within the mirror assembly is greatly reduced. Even with a use of this parabolic mirror with the collar around the pathogen and / or receiver around in a container, there are advantages, for example, when filling the container from the side, as then by the outer wall of the parabolic mirror and collar protection of the pathogen and / or receiver 3 is prevented from damage due to filled contents.
- the entire antenna system can be covered or coated with a simple, planar protective cover, a so-called radome, in the simplest case, for example, with a PTFE disk (PTFE: polytetrafluoroethylene) or a possibly curved lid, if required.
- a PTFE disk PTFE: polytetrafluoroethylene
- a possibly curved lid if required.
- such a parabolic antenna allows a short design in particular axial direction of the parabolic mirror axis X and thus a small dead zone in level measurements.
- the parabolic antenna can be filled in its interior with a dielectric material.
- a dielectric constant of the dielectric material should be less than about 3.
- a foamed, low-loss material for this purpose can be used, for example Eccostock-Lok Fa. Emerson & Cuming with a dielectric constant of 1.7.
- Fig. 1 the filling 10 of the parabolic antenna is shown.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- eine Schnittdarstellung einer beispielhaften Parabolantenne;
- Fig. 2
- eine Schnittdarstellung durch eine Parabolantenne mit großem Verhältnis von Brennweite zu Durchmesser gemäß dem Stand der Technik;
- Fig. 3
