Description

1. Feld der Erfindung1. Field of the invention

The invention relates to a valve for the cyclical filling of liquid to flowable pasty products from a storage container in packaging containers, which are promoted according clocked by the filling station of a packaging machine. Under packaging containers are here in particular from a thermoformable packaging material web deep-drawn cups understood that are separated after their filling and their closure with a cover sheet individually or in groups from the packaging material web, which passes through the packaging machine, that is, a so-called FFS machine in steps. In this respect, the invention relates to the filling station of such a machine and belonging to this filling valves.

2. Beschreibung des Standes der Technik2. Description of the Related Art

To such operating in time filling stations include a product reservoir, related metering pumps and in time appropriately controlled closing and opening valves. Depending on the number of cup rows formed in the packaging material web, a corresponding number of metering pumps connected to the storage container are arranged in block form in the filling station, which in turn are in communication with a corresponding number of filling mouthpieces. For the sake of simplicity, only one metering pump with associated filling mouthpiece and valve is mentioned below.
As far as known and what concerns the closing and opening valves is arranged between the reservoir and the metering a diaphragm valve of known type, and Although with regard to the usually to be challenged sterile operation. Under the filling pump and immediately above the continuous packaging material web is then connected hose-connected a simple, again separately driven on-to-slide valve whose plate-shaped lower part contains the filling mouthpiece or the filling opening. Such slide valves made of highly wear-resistant materials (eg ceramic) have proven to be better than in this area also used rotary valves, as they are not absolutely tight when filling in particular low-viscosity products. In addition, problems in the provision of the rotary valve from their cleaning position can result in the working position due to very close fits in such rotary valves. There are also disadvantages with respect to the above-mentioned diaphragm valves between reservoir and metering pump, since these valves or their membranes have only relatively low wear resistance, especially if pieces or occasionally cores or core fragments containing filling material is to be processed.
As a practical unproblematic contrast, the aforementioned slide valves have proven in which between two plates, a lock slider between closing and opening position is to be moved in tact back and forth. With regard to such slide valves is to refer, for example, to DE-A-93 12 817 U1 and US-A-2,202,073.
The slider of the valve according to DE-A-93 12 817 U1 in this case has a passage opening, an intermediate piece acquiring the closed position and subsequently a separate transition passage passing through the flushing fluid.
In the slider of the valve according to US-A-2,202,073 a transitional passage or transverse channel is arranged separately to the passage opening in the slide, which serves with appropriate adjustment of the slide on the one hand for the suction of the filling material in the filling pump and on the other hand for its shut-off to the filling pump, wherein Shut-off at the same time the passage opening releases the path of the filling material from the pump to the output port of the valve. At the Füllgutweitergabe to the filling mouthpiece, the transverse channel is not involved. To be able to flush the Füllgutzufuhrleitung and the transitional passage is in the stationary lower plate of the valve provided with a valve flushing agent connection, with which a flushing approximately centrally in the bottom of the passage passage arranged flushing means to bring is to be aligned. Flushing the filling pump, the passage opening and the mouthpiece is not possible in this way.

Zusammenfassung der ErfindungSummary of the invention

On this basis, the invention has for its object to use the existing per se in the slide transitional passage or transverse gutter both for the suction of the contents and the discharge for filling mouthpiece, ie to make the arrangement of a separate through hole for the removal unnecessary and thus to create the same condition in training and in the closed position of the slide to be able to use the transverse channel for the flushing of a part of Füllgutförderweges also.

This object is achieved with a valve of the type mentioned according to the invention, which has the following overall characteristics:
It consists of in the product from the reservoir through a metering pump to the discharge nozzle product conveying path with a clocked adjustable closing and opening valve, which is formed of a sealed between plates adjustable slide. The plates contain from the metering pump to the mouthpiece mutually aligned channels, wherein in the pump-side plate is arranged against the provided with a passage slide valve out product feed channel. In the slider itself, a cross-channel open against the upper plate is arranged on the pump side with a length detecting the feed channel and the channel emerging from the metering pump.
According to the invention is crucial to these Medrkmalen still added that the open against the lower plate passageway at one end of the transverse channel, namely leaving the bottom open, is arranged. The transverse channel is with its passageway alternately to the mouth of the product Zuförderkanales and the outgoing from the metering channel adjustable.
Apart from the fact that thereby the whole filling station gets a more compact design, because the metering without the previous hose connections sits directly above the valve, so that the requirements are met according to the task.
By simple adjustment of the slide with only one appropriately controlled drive, the metering pump can be charged on the one hand, and on the other hand, the way to the filling mouthpiece is released with a simple return of the slide. Basically, this is a simple two-way valve, but it is a two-way valve of a special kind, as in the slide only a single product passage in the form of a transverse channel with directly outgoing through this passage is open to the product supply side and the metering pump is. From this cross gutter for the product output from the metering pump only a small part for the product passage taken up, which takes place through the directly set in the bottom of the transverse rake open passage to the mouthpiece.
In an advantageous embodiment of the slide is designed to be displaceable even after the other side, which is taken into account the proviso that the transverse channel with its directly connected thereto passage also for flushing a part of Füllgutförderweges also available.

Additional developments and embodiments consist in the following:
Since the metering pump can be arranged with its outlet directly above the slide valve, it is advantageously possible with appropriate thickness measurement of the upper valve plate to integrate in the upper plate at least a portion of the metering directly with.
Since in such packaging and filling product change associated with a flush are common and also cleaning rinses before stopping the machine in question, with regard to the adjustability of the slider is also advantageously provided on the other side, in one of the plates to arrange a detergent channel with an open against the slide outlet such that the transverse channel forms with its passage in the flushing position of the slide the connection between the product supply channel and detergent channel. This means nothing else than that the slide, which is moved in normal operation only to one side back and forth, to adjust the flushing to the other side, which will be explained in more detail.
In this connection, the arrangement of the detergent channel in the upper plate is preferred, as a result, the lower valve plate can be made thinner.
Also with regard to an optimal cleaning bszw. Rinsing the two plates and the slider can be arranged relative to each other distant.

Beschreibung der bevorzugten AusführungsformenDescription of the Preferred Embodiments

The valve for the cyclical filling of liquid to flowable pasty products from a storage container 1 in packaging container B, which are promoted clocked by the filling station of a packaging machine consists of in from the reservoir 1 by a metering pump 2 to the discharge port 3 leading Product conveying path PF (dotted lines indicated ), clocked adjustable closing and opening valves 4,5 (see Figure 7), but now and according to the invention are combined to form a valve V, which is formed of a sealed between plates 6,7 adjustable slider 8. The plates 6,7 contain from the metering pump 2 to the mouthpiece 3 mutually aligned channels 9,10. In the pump-side plate 6 a against the slide 8 ausmündender product feed channel 11 is arranged. In addition, in the slider 8 pump side open against the upper plate 6 transverse channel 12 with a feed channel 11 and the outgoing from the metering pump 2 channel 9 detecting length L arranged, wherein the transverse groove 12 at one end with an adjustable to the channels 9,10 Through opening 13 is provided. 1 illustrates the beginning of the intake stroke of the piston 2 'of the filling pump 2 and Fig.2 illustrates the discharge of the filling material to the filling mouthpiece 3, wherein the piston 2' has already reached its end position.

In Figures 6A and 6B, the valve V with the associated and Füllgutnachfüllanschluß 1 'provided filling material reservoir 1 is shown, wherein advantageously in the upper plate 6, as strongly schematized indicated, the metering pump 2 is integrated.

The position of the slide 8 with its transverse channel 12 according to Figure 6A corresponds to the Einsaug- or filling process of the metering pump 2 (see also Fig.1), ie, the contents from the product feed channel 11 via transverse channel 12 in the metering pump 2. If the Pump piston 2 'has reached its maximum position shown and in the filling pump so measured the amount of product is present, the slide 8 is moved in position according to FIG. 6B or FIG. 2, until the passage opening 13 of the slide 8 is aligned with the channels 9,10 and thus the filling process at descending pump piston 2 'is completed. After completed filling of a cup B, the slider 8 is again moved to the right, ie, returned to the position shown in FIG. 6A, and the whole process is repeated for the filling of the respective follower in continuous operation.

As can already be seen from FIGS. 1, 2, in one of the plates 6, 7, a flushing agent channel 14 is arranged with an orifice 15 open against the slide 8 in such a way that the transverse channel 12 in the flushing position of the slide 8 is the connection between the product feed channel 11 and the flushing agent channel 14 (see also Fig. 4) provided with a flushing agent outlet 14 '(see Fig. 6C). Preferably, the detergent channel 14 is arranged with its orifice 15 according to the Fig.1,2 and 4 in the upper plate 6, whereby the lower plate 7 of the valve can be made much thinner.

The rinsing process is illustrated in Fig.6C, of which initially only the reservoir 1, the channel 11 and the transverse channel 12 are detected in this position. Apart from the fact that for the flushing of the metering pump 2 in alternation, the positions according to Figures 6A and 6B could be used, of course, under the plate 7 must be provided for a suitable flushing means SA for the flushing, but the embodiment of FIG .DELTA.6D preferred, in which the plates 6,7 and the slide 8 are arranged relative to each other distanced or spreadable, which requires no further explanation, since such apparatus-constructive measures include the usual rinsing and cleaning practice.
In FIG. 5, for the sake of completeness, a section of the slide 8 is shown in plan view from the pump side. The arranged above metering pump 2 is indicated only by dash-dotted lines, wherein the solid dagestellte position of the transverse groove 12 of the slide position in Fig.6A corresponds and the shifted to the left, dashed position of FIG. 6B.

Characterized in that the metering pump 2 sits directly above the slide valve or in this can be at least partially integrated, falls in the comparative figure 7 relatively long product delivery path PF of the metering pump 2 for there simple on-off valve 5 away, so far is advantageous as results in product change a correspondingly shortened mixing distance. In addition, eliminated by the advantageous development of the inclusion of the detergent channel 14 in one or the other plate 6.7 in Fig.5 with shown and required product change valve PWV with associated detergent discharge SA.
The adjustment of the slide 8 in the closed position, opening position and also rinsing position by means of a in Fig.7 only schematically with indicated actuator 20 in a known manner, and the metering pumps 2 are, for example, in time with hydraulic or pneumatic actuators 21, as also shown in FIG. 7 schematically indicated with, actuated.
