Die Wippmechanik 30 weist ein erstes Gehäuseteil 32 und ein zweites Gehäuseteil 34 aus einem druckfesten Material, wie beispielsweise Metall auf, zwischen denen die übrigen Komponenten der Wippmechanik 30 aufgenommen sind. Im ersten Ausführungsbeispiel ist dabei das erste Gehäuseteil 32 in das zweite Gehäuseteil 34 eingepasst, und das zweite Gehäuseteil 34 ist zum Beispiel mittels Schraubverbindungen fest mit dem Sitzträger 26 des Sitzes 14 eines Stuhls 10 verbindbar. Zwischen den beiden Gehäuseteilen 32 und 34 der Wippmechanik 30 sind zwei erste Federblöcke 38 und zwei zweite Federblöcke 42, ein Aufnahmeteil 40 sowie eine Druckplatte 36 angeordnet.The
Die ersten und die zweiten Federblöcke 38, 42 sind paarweise in der Vorne/Hinten-Richtung bzw. der Rechts/Links-Richtung der Sitzfläche 16 in entsprechenden Ausnehmungen 34a, 34b des zweiten Gehäuseteils 34 aufgenommen. Die ersten und die zweiten Federblöcke 38, 42 bestehen aus einem elastisch verformbaren Material, wie beispielsweise einem (zelligen) Polyurethan-Elastomer, und dienen der gefederten Lagerung der Wippmechanik 30. Polyurethan-Elastomer ist in verschiedenen Dichten und mit unterschiedlichen Federkennlinien, welche im Allgemeinen stark progressiv sind, erhältlich. Je nach Art und Verwendungszweck des Stuhls 10 sowie der gewünschten maximalen Neigung des Sitzes 14 können die Federblöcke 38, 42 daher optimal angepasst ausgewählt werden. Insbesondere können die ersten Federblöcke 38 auch mit anderen Eigenschaften als die zweiten Federblöcke 42 versehen sein. In diesem Fall können zur Vereinfachung des Zusammenbaus der Wippmechanik 30 die ersten und die zweiten Federblöcke 38, 42 unterschiedlich farbig gekennzeichnet sein. Claims (9)
- A chair (10), comprising:a base structure (12);a seat (14) having a seat surface (16) and a backrest (18);a seat carrier (26) for carrying said seat on said base structure; anda tilt mechanism (30) arranged between said seat carrier and said base structure which is of such an arrangement and configuration that it permits inclination of said seat surface (16) of said seat (14) with respect to the horizontal both in a forward/rearward direction of the seat surface and also in a right/left direction of the seat surface,characterized in thatsaid tilt mechanism (30) comprises a pressure plate (36) having a first conicity (36b) in the forward/rearward direction of the seat surface (16), by way of which said seat can be inclined in the forward/rearward direction, and a second conicity (36c) in the right/left direction of the seat surface (16), by way of which said seat can be inclined in the right/left direction.
- A chair according to claim 1,
characterized in that
said first and second conicities (36b, 36c) of said pressure plate (36) are provided on surfaces of said pressure plate being mutually remote to each other in the up/down direction of the pressure plate. - A chair according to claim 1 or 2,
characterized in that
said pressure plate (36) is mounted on elastically deformable first and second spring blocks (38, 42), wherein at least one first spring block (38) is associated with said pressure plate (36) in the forward/rearward direction of the seat surface (16) and at least one second spring block (42) is associated with said pressure plate (36) in the right/left direction of the seat surface (16). - A chair according to any one of preceding claims,
characterized in that
said the pressure plate (36) is supported on the one hand against said seat carrier (26) and on the other hand against a mounting member (40) for said base structure (12). - A chair according to any one of claims 1 to 4,
characterized in that
said tilt mechanism (30) comprises a first housing portion (32) and a second housing portion (34), wherein said first housing portion (32) is fixed to said seat carrier (26) of said seat (14) and said second housing portion (34) is fixed to said first housing portion (32). - A chair according to any one of claims 1 to 4,
characterized in that
said tilt mechanism (30) comprises a first housing portion (32) and a second housing portion (34), wherein said first housing portion (32) is fitted into said second housing portion (34) and said second housing portion (34) is fixed to said seat carrier (26) of said seat (14). - A chair according to any one of preceding claims,
characterized in that
said tilt mechanism (30) permits an inclination of said seat surface (16) of said seat (14) with respect to the horizontal in the forward/rearward direction of the seat surface by a maximum of about 8°. - A chair according to any one of preceding claims,
characterized in that
said tilt mechanism (30) permits an inclination of said seat surface (16) of said seat (14) with respect to the horizontal in the right/left direction of the seat surface by a maximum of about 3.5°. - A chair according to any one of preceding claims,
characterized in that
