Description

The present invention relates to a cooking appliance according to the preamble of claim 1.

Cooking appliances used in commercial kitchens or restaurants are regularly gas-operated and often have more than one burner unit. Furthermore, such cooking appliances are usually equipped with heat exchanger tubes and at least one fan to enter the heat generated, for example in the form of water vapor, in the cooking chamber and to circulate there. Such cooking appliances are eg from the not previously published WO 2004/020907 or the German utility model DE 202 01 184 U1 known. The operation of the burner and blower can already generate a considerable noise level, which is perceived as unpleasant by the operating personnel and may even lead to an impairment of the concentration in the workplace. As is known, fluid flows in pipelines sometimes also generate considerable noise, so that the entire soundscape generated by a cooking appliance in operation, especially when several such cooking appliances are used side by side, is perceived as disturbing.

The problem of unwanted sound generation due to improper fluid management is known especially from automotive engineering. There is an attempt, for example, to analyze the special conditions to be sucked by a radiator to an air filter ambient air in such a way or to lead that a reduced sound level results. For this purpose, either resonators or so-called bypass tubes are installed, whereby certain frequencies can be filtered out. However, resonators as well as bypass hoses take up little space and require a considerable amount of material. A transfer of these technologies to burners for cooking appliances is already due to the regularly very small-sized installation spaces of these cooking appliances out of the question. Furthermore, it is known for effective noise reduction of air hoses porous materials, eg pipe sockets made of sintered aluminum powder, as in JP 600 50 265 A described to use. However, this involves high material costs. The use of interlocked interior walls of a sound absorbing material, as in the EP 0 837 238 A2 proposed, also increases the cost and would limit the already limited available volume of an installation space of a cooking space again. The GB 2 364 352 A Attempts to achieve a noise-reduced fluid guide in that straight, rigid elements with perforations, which are mounted between flexible, formed in the manner of a wave pipe section elements. However, the perforation openings in the straight elements are to be mounted in exact agreement with the geometry of the flexible shaft tube sections. According to the DE 101 44 972 C1 is a soundproofed air hose, such as is present in a motor vehicle between a radiator and the air filter, obtained by having between two members of acoustically substantially dense material at least one opening for sound attenuation, which is arranged in the region of the impedance change between two adjacent members. Such an air hose is according to the DE 101 44 972 C1 cost-effective and yet has sound-reducing properties. According to the DE 101 44 972 C1 Accordingly, openings are provided in the wall of an air hose at the points at which the radiator connection piece goes into a bellows and this bellows in turn into an air filter connection piece. This approach is tailored exclusively to the sound reduction of radiator hoses in motor vehicles, which is why the DE 101 44 972 C1 no further information on other possible uses can be found.

A generic cooking appliance with a sound-damped burner system is in particular from the GB 2 266 137 A known. In this known sound-damped burner system, a flame control device is used which, inter alia, comprises a noise reduction device in the form of holes in the region of the burner body. This noise reduction device is thus responsible exclusively for the modulation of the flame noise and is associated with the disadvantage that combustion gases and / or unconsumed combustion air in the interior of a cooking appliance, in particular the cooking chamber, can occur, which in turn can lead to undesirable Garergebnissen.

It would therefore be desirable to make cooking appliances accessible, which are soundproofed in a structurally simple manner to a high degree, without having a negative effect on a cooking process. The present invention therefore an object of the invention, the generic cooking appliance further develop such that the disadvantages of the prior art are overcome. In particular, should change without the spatial conditions of conventional installation spaces of cooking appliances, in particular enlarge, have to penetrate in a structurally simple manner even in full load operation of the cooking appliance little or no operating noise to the outside.

A generic cooking appliance solves this task erfindunsgemäße by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Preferred cooking appliances according to the invention are described in claims 2 to 9.

The present invention was based on the surprising finding that the noise level in the operation of cooking devices can be considerably reduced even by the provision of perforation openings in supply lines located upstream of a burner. In particular, this noise can be significantly suppressed when starting a burner. In this way, a much more pleasant and in particular safe working in e.g. Commercial kitchens possible. Another advantage is that even conventional cooking appliances can be equipped or retrofitted with a sound-damped burner systems, whereby the extent of new investments can be kept low.

Particularly preferably, adjacent perforation openings are arranged transversely to the flow direction, for example the combustion air, in the supply line, ie the fluid or a fluid front reaches both or all perforation openings substantially at the same point in time. By observing the claimed specifications with regard to size and attachment of adjacent perforation openings, it is possible to reduce the operating noise of the cooking appliances according to the invention in a particularly effective manner. It is believed that the measures found can achieve asymmetric flow, preventing the propagation of a standing wave.

Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description in which an embodiment of the invention with reference to a single figure of a drawing are explained in detail. It shows the
figure
a schematic plan view of an air intake as part of the burner system in a cooking appliance according to the invention.

According to the invention, as shown in the figure, perforation openings 54 ', 56' in a nozzle 62 ', which is formed as an elbow and part of a second supply line 58' for supplying combustion air to a burner, not shown, a cooking appliance, provide. This nozzle can then easily connect, for example, to an air collector, not shown.

The inventive success arises with the embodiment shown in the figure, in particular when the perforation openings 54 ', 56' have a diameter of about 6 mm and whose centers have a distance of about 15 mm from each other.

The features disclosed in the foregoing description, in the claims and in the drawings may, both individually and in any combination, be essential for the realization of the invention in its various embodiments.
