Abstract

A method and an apparatus for manufacturing a thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet or a film, wherein a forming sleeve (15) is stretched to be laid between a first support roller (16), a second support roller (17), and a third support roller (18) and comes into contact with a part of the outer peripheral surface of a casting roller (12) in an arc shape between the first support roller (16) and the second support roller (17) to holdingly press a synthetic resin material therebetween, and the second support roller (17) is allowed to rotate about the first support roller (16) to move close to and away from the casting roller (12), whereby the length of the forming sleeve (15) coming into contact with the casting roller (12) can be changed by changing the position of the second support roller (17), and a distance for holdingly pressing the synthetic resin material can be adjusted according to the peeling resistances of the synthetic resin material against the casting roller (12) and the forming sleeve (15).
