Abstract

The device has a label (5) in rigid or semi-rigid material and having a front side forming a data medium and including identification zones related to a code for recognizing wine contents in a bottle (3). The label has a rear side on which a resilient material part (9) is applied. The part is covered with an adhesive on a side opposite to the label, for sticking the label in an annular edge (4) of a bottle`s bottom (2).

Description

The invention relates to a device for marking the ass of a bottle for identification in a set of bottles arranged so that only the bottom of these bottles is visible.

The present invention aims to propose a device for simple marking to easily identify a bottle, for example arranged in a wine cellar so that only his ass is visible.

In wine cellars bottles are usually stored in horizontal position on lockers or in cabinets specially designed for this purpose and the low spacing preserved between two successive rows makes it almost invisible the label that adorns the belly of these bottles.

When the neck of these bottles is oriented towards the observer, this one has some chances to identify more or less certain shape corresponding to the type of bottle sought, knowing that this form differs, usually, according to the region of production (Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne ...).

There are obviously not so many shapes of bottles different than wines produced and it is almost indispensable to handle a larger or smaller number of bottles to finalize the search, ie find that of his choice.

If only the ass of the bottles is made visible, as it is of use in certain wine cabinets, the identification of the shape of a bottle becomes more delicate. In addition, the capsule over-coloring can not, then, help to identify the bottle of his choice and there is little chance of catching sight of the label on the belly of the bottle, neither, well sure, the collar that adorns the bottles of some wines.

As a result, the number of bottles to handle to find the good is increased in this case.

To this we must add that if these manipulations are hardly practices to make his choice, they are not recommended for fragile wines, said of guard.

We have therefore devised identification devices for bottles that are provided suitable, as appropriate, to equip the collar or the bottom of these.

In particular, it is described in EP-0-865.015 a bottle identification device comprising a support information system with fixing means for position, as the case may be, on the neck or the butt of the bottle. In particular, these fixing means are present in the form of clips or clamping tabs. In the case of marking the bottom of a bottle, the clamping tabs are in the form of three claws enclosing the bottom of the bottle and extending in a star from a pellet circular constituting, substantially, the support of information.

Likewise, it is known from document EP-1.126.433 that bottle identification device, especially applicable to bottles arranged in such a way that only the part of the background is visible to an observer.

As described in this document, this device identification is in the form of a bucket made of transparent intended fit to be nested on the bottom of a bottle and inside which is positioned a label serving as a means of information support.

In another embodiment, the bottom of the bucket can itself serve as an information medium.

It is understandable that the solutions proposed through these two documents of the state of the art present the disadvantage of being dependent on the section of bottles that we want to identify.

Indeed, in the case of document EP-1.126.433, the user must, in any case, have in stock a large stock of buckets of different sections. Similarly, unless you select the types of bottles likely to be marked by such identification device, the manufacturer must be able to offer customers an invariable number of cups different, knowing that the bottles are not all round section.

If the clamping tabs of the identification device proposed in EP-0.865.015 are designed elastically deformable, such an identification device is nonetheless dedicated to a section of bottles well defined, otherwise the clamping force produced by these legs is, depending on the case, too weak and the device identification can not be properly maintained on the merits of a bottle, being too important thus rendering the use identification device inconvenient.

In all cases, the skirt of a cup-shaped element or the clamping tabs are elements that protrude the periphery of a bottle that can easily be taking an adjacent bottle.

The present invention is therefore able to respond to these problems with known identification devices, intended to equip the ass of a bottle.

Thus, the invention relates to a device for marking the ass of a bottle for identification in a set of bottles arranged so that only the bottom of the bottle is visible, characterized by the fact that it consists of a label made of a rigid or semi-rigid material front side, information carrier, and a dorsal face on which is applied at least one piece of resilient material covered with an adhesive, on the opposite side of the label, for the collage of the latter on the annular rim of the ass of a bottle.

According to a particular embodiment, on this dorsal surface of said label are applied several pieces of material resilient coated with an adhesive, these parts being more particularly distributed on a circle corresponding to a average section of bottles.

According to a particular embodiment, a piece of material resilient has an adhesive on each of its faces, one of which contributes to its bonding on the dorsal side of the label.

Advantageously, the front face of the label forming information carrier has multiple areas identification, for example of different colors constituting a generic code of recognition of the wine content in a bottle to mark.

In particular, the front face of the label comprises a central registration area on the periphery of which extend the identification areas in the form of neighborhoods.

In the end, it's through an inventive step that we imagined to adhere to the annular rim of the ass of a bottle a marking device, since, by definition, such a rim offers little surface adhesion.

By equipping the label with a piece of material resilient having an adhesive side, the latter is able to intimately marry the curvilinear shape of the rim annular ass of a bottle. The adhesive thus comes conform to this curvilinear surface to maintain in place and for a long time, the marking device on the bottom of a any bottle.

To this it should be added that in a wine cellar the variations temperature are very low and the adhesion quality of the adhesive remains constant.

It's finally taking into account all of these data and, more particularly, going against a prejudice of the skilled person in the field, namely that a rim of a bottleneck does not offer a bonding surface, it has been realized the present invention.

This obviously represents a clear progress in comparison to the solutions of the state of the art.

Thus, the size of the label can be chosen so as to it is independent of the section of a bottle any. For example, this label will be chosen from section at most equal to that corresponding to the bottle the smaller.

In addition, the design of a constituent label, a side, an information carrier and receiving, on its opposite side, an adhesive piece of resilient material, proves to be significantly lower manufacturing to devices known to date. In these conditions one could imagine that such labels would be of use unique. However, using an adhesive application multiple a marking device, according to the invention, can to be reused after a first bottle marking.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent during the following description relating to a mode implementation given as an indicative example and not limiting.

As shown in the figures of the attached drawing, the The present invention relates to a marking device 1 plus particularly intended to be brought on the ass 2 of a bottle 3 for identification of the latter in a set of bottles, for example arranged in a cellar at wine so that only the bottom of these bottles is visible.

In the usual way, the ass 2 of a bottle 3 is shaped concave so that it can rest stably on a support through an annular flange 4.

As can be seen in FIG. 2, this annular rim 4 is rounded overall shape, knowing that any sharp edge at level of a particular glass bottle could represent a danger to the user.

According to the invention, the marking device 1 comprises a label 5 in a rigid or semi-rigid material, for example in cardboard or plastic. This label 5 has a front face 6 defining an information carrier 7 and a dorsal face 8.

On the latter is applied at least one piece 9 in one resilient material covered with an adhesive 10, on its face 11 opposed to the label 5 to allow the collage of this last on the annular rim 4 of ass 2 of a bottle 3.

As can be seen in Figure 2, through the material resilient component part 9, the adhesive face 11 of this last can conform to the rounded shape of this ledge ring 4 and thus ensure perfect adhesion of the label 5 on the ass 2 of the bottle 3.

Of course and as it was made visible through FIG. 5, on this dorsal face 8 of the label 5 can to be applied several of these parts 9, 9A, 9B, 9C in resilient material covered with an adhesive 10.

According to an exemplary embodiment, these parts 9, 9A, 9B, 9C are distributed at this dorsal face 8 of the label 5 on a circle 12 corresponding to an average bottle section, knowing that only one or only part of these parts 9, 9A, 9B, 9C can intervene for the adhesion of the label 5 on the ass 2 of a bottle 3 to mark.

Of course, the present invention is not limited to a label of circular shape.

Note that a piece 9 of resilient material can be applied by bonding on the dorsal surface 8 of a label 5. Thus, a such part 9 may, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, have on each of its opposite faces 11, 14 an adhesive 10, 10 '.

In particular, the adhesive 10 on the face 11 intervening in the collage of the label on a bottle 3 can be defined by a reusable glue. In this way the label 5 can be, at will, glued, then removed without difficulty from ass 2 of a bottle 3, or even serve, after a first use, marking a new bottle. This type of glue reusable has the advantage of not leaving a trace of unpleasant glue on a bottle.

This adhesive 10 on the face 11 of a part 9 affixed to the label 5 can be initially covered by a film protector 17 that the user comes to remove at the time of marking of a bottle. If the label 5 comprises several pieces 9, 9A, 9B, 9C, one can imagine that at each new marking of a bottle we come to discover, by removing the film protector, the adhesive of a new part 9, 9A, 9B, 9C, which will serve to stick the label 5 on the bottle to to mark.

As for the front face 6, forming information carrier 7, it advantageously comprises a plurality of zones identification 15, for example of different colors. All especially, these colors can correspond to a code generic identification of the contents of a bottle to be marked.

It should be noted that the color qualifier is take in the broadest generic sense. In particular, on one or other of these identification zones 15 may be reported symbols or other graphics allowing recognize a type of wine. So the representation in one either of these small circle or sphere areas can correspond to sparkling wines.

It is then sufficient for the user to check one or more of these identification areas 15 on the label 5 to be able, in a wine cellar, to find, very quickly, the type of wine contained in the marked bottle of the marking device 1 according to the invention.

Advantageously, this label 5 further comprises, at level of its front face 6 at least one registration area 16. In particular, at the level of this zone 16 the user can postpone any type of information intended to identify a bottle.

Again, the qualification qualifier for zone 16 must to be taken in a generic sense. In particular, in this area 16 can be carried a pre-printed sticker, even wearing a bar code that can be recognized at using a suitable optical reading means.

It should be noted, in particular, that on this front face 6, corresponding to the information carrier 7 of the label 5, can to be affixed a self-adhesive pastille identification and registration 16. Thus, it suffices, in case of reuse of the label 5, to affix a new pastille sticker on which can be checked areas or postponed the inscriptions corresponding to the new bottle of wine to be marked with said label 5.

Finally, this information medium 7 corresponding to the face front 6 can be made of a material on which any inscription carried by means of a suitable pen is erasable for allow, again, an indefinite reuse of a label 5.

Claims (9)

Device for marking the bottom (2) of a bottle (3) for identification in a set of bottles arranged so that only the bottom of the bottle is visible, characterized in that it consists of a label (5) in a rigid or semi-rigid material having a front face (6), information carrier (7), and a back face (8) on which is applied at least one piece (9, 9A, 9B, 9C) of resilient material coated with an adhesive (10) on its face (11), opposite to the label (5), for bonding the latter on the annular flange (4) of the end (2) of a bottle (3). Marking device according to claim 1,
characterized in that it comprises on the front face (6) of the label (5) a plurality of parts (9, 9A, 9B, 9C), these being more particularly distributed over a circle (12) corresponding to a average section of bottles. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a part (9, 9A, 9B, 9C) has on each of its opposite faces (11, 14) an adhesive (10, 10 ') for its application on the dorsal surface (8) of the label (5) and the bonding of the latter on the bottom (2) of a bottle (3). Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adhesive (10) on the face (11) for bonding the label (5) to a bottle (3) is defined by an adhesive reusable. Marking device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adhesive (10) on the face (11) of a workpiece (9) is covered by a protective film (7). Marking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the front face (6), forming an information carrier (7), comprises a plurality of identification zones (15) corresponding in particular to a generic identification code of the contents of a bottle to be marked.
