Claims (14)

  1. Device for punching blanks out of a flat workpiece (10), in particular packaging blanks (12) made of cardboard or corrugated board, comprising a cutting blade mounted in a carrier plate (22) and projecting therefrom in the form of a blade or cutting line, as well as profiled strips (50, 50a) made of a material having limited flexibility flanking the cutting blade, characterised in that a channel-like section (40, 40a) made of rigid material into which the profiled strip (50, 50a) is inserted by means of one region (46) of its cross section is arranged on the carrier plate (22) parallel to the cutting blade (30) on each of its longitudinal sides.
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the profiled strip (50, 50a) is arranged positively in the rail-like channel section (40, 40a).
  3. Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the cross section of the profiled strip (50) is provided at least on one side face (47) with an outwardly directed bottom bead (48).
  4. Device according to claim 3, characterised in that the cutting blade (30) is flanked on either side by respective bottom beads (48) of the profiled strips (50) (Fig. 2).
  5. Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the side faces (47a) of the profiled strip (50a) are inclined inwardly relative to the centre line (M) thereof.
  6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the centre line (M) of the profiled strip (50, 50a) is its line of symmetry.
  7. Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the channel section (40, 40a) is provided on its channel legs (36, 36a) projecting from a top plate (38) with an internal undercut space (44).
  8. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the inner face of the channel leg (36) has an inwardly curved cross section (Fig. 3).
  9. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised by channel legs (36a) with angular cross sections with end hook strips (37) directed towards one another (Fig. 6).
  10. Device according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the top plate (39) of the channel section (40, 40a) is secured to the preferably wooden carrier plate (22) of the die.
  11. Device according to one of claims 7 to 10, characterised in that the top plate (39) of the channel section (40, 40a) is secured to the die by means of a liquid adhesive.
  12. Device according to one of claims 7 to 10, characterised in that the top plate (39) of the channel section (40, 40a) is provided on its outside with an adhesive layer (38).
  13. Device according to claim 12, characterised in that the adhesive layer (38) is covered by a protective layer when it is not in use.
  14. Device according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the plate-like cutting blade (30) is provided at a distance from the adjacent channel legs (36, 36a) of the channel sections (40, 40a) with a cutting edge (32) directed away from the latter and the cutting edge is provided with notches arranged at a distance (i) from one another.
