Abstract

Gebrauchter Giessereisand, Formsand und ganz besonders Kernsand wird beim Regenerieren von den Zusatzstoffen befreit. Die Sandkörner werden durch trockene, mechanische Bearbeitung insbesondere von den irreversiblen und nicht löslichen Zusatzstoffen getrennt. Der gebrauchte Formsand muss zuerst abgekühlt und nach bekannten Verfahren zertrümmert und zerkleinert werden. Nun erfolgt das eigentliche Trennen der Bindemittelhaut, das heisst der verfestigten Zusatzstoffe von den Sandkörnern. Dies erfolgt erfindungsgemäss mit einer Mühle mit zwei einander gegenüberliegenden Mahlscheiben (21, 22) mit einer vertikalen Rotationsachse (20). Zwischen beiden Mahlscheiben (21, 22) ist ein schmaler Mahlspalt (25) vorhanden.
