- This configuration of the invention thus avoids directly transmitting outward forces to the upper ends of the legs as in prior art designs.
- a plurality of support strut members 60 are also provided, as can best be seen in Figs. 2 , 4 , 5 and 7-12 , with the outer ends 62 of the support strut members pivotally mounted to the legs below the pole members, and preferably each support strut member is pivotally mounted adjacent to a leg.
- the support struts are pivotally mounted to a crank 61 rotatably mounted to a telescoping shaft 63a,b for rotation about the telescoping shaft.
- the telescoping shaft is mounted, such as by welding, to the outer ends 44 of the second link members 40.
- the outer ends 62 of the support strut members 60 may be pivotally mounted by a bracket 65 affixed, such as by welding or by a bolt, for example, to the outer end 44 of a second link member adjacent to a leg, as is illustrated in Figs. 9 and 12 .
- the outer ends 62 of the support strut members 60 may be pivotally mounted to a bracket 67 of a slider member, as shown in Fig. 10 .
- the inner ends 64 of the support strut members are connected to support brackets 66 connecting the support strut members to corresponding pole members to support the pole members in a raised, upwardly extending position.
- the support strut members also may be formed of telescoping sections. Referring to Figs. 3 , 4 , 7 and 11 , the inner ends 64 of the pole members are pivotally connected together by a central hub 68.
- a canopy cover (not shown) may be provided over the roof structure of the shelter to provide a gabled roof surface, to shed precipitation and debris.
- the indirect pivotal link between the outer end of the roof support rods and the top of the legs prevent the direct application of force to the upper end of the legs due to downward force of the canopy from wind or the like, thus producing a more robust structure capable of absorbing such forces better than prior art designs.
- the use of offset pivots for the roof support struts further stabilize the structure during and after erection and make the structure more stable during and after erection.
- the elimination of telescoping components reduces the complexity of the structure, simplifies manufacture, and reduces the chances of binding and other resistance to erection compared to pivoting assemblies.

Claims (15)
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) présentant une configuration pliée et une configuration déployée, comprenant :une pluralité de montants (22) comportant des extrémités supérieures (24) et inférieures (26),un ensemble de périmètre extensible (34) d'éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) reliant ladite pluralité de montants (22) ensemble,un ensemble de protection (48), ledit ensemble de protection (48) comprenant une pluralité d'éléments de barres (50) comportant des extrémités intérieures (64) et extérieures (52), et une pluralité d'éléments de liaison pivotants (59) reliés de façon pivotante aux extrémités supérieures (24) des montants correspondants parmi lesdits montants (22), les extrémités extérieures (52) desdits éléments de barres (50) étant montées de façon pivotante sur lesdits éléments de liaison pivotants (59) de sorte que ladite pluralité d'éléments de barres (50) s'étendent en travers de l'abri (20) lorsque l'abri (20) se trouve dans la configuration déployée, et lesdits éléments de barres (50) pouvant être déplacés entre une position abaissée lorsque l'abri (20) se trouve dans la configuration pliée et une position relevée s'étendant vers le haut lorsque l'abri (20) se trouve dans la configuration déployée,une pluralité d'éléments d'entretoises de support (60) comportant chacun une extrémité extérieure (62) et une extrémité intérieure (66), lesdites extrémités extérieures (62) de ladite pluralité d'éléments d'entretoises de support (60) étant montées de façon pivotante sur les montants correspondants parmi lesdits montants (22), et lesdites extrémités intérieures (66) étant reliées aux éléments de barres correspondants parmi lesdits éléments de barres (50) pour supporter lesdits éléments de barres (50) lorsque ledit abri (20) se trouve dans une configuration totalement déployée, ladite pluralité d'éléments d'entretoises de support (60) pouvant être déplacés entre une position abaissée et une position relevée s'étendant vers le haut, et caractérisé par :un arbre télescopique (63a, b) monté entre une paire adjacente desdits éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) reliés à des montants correspondants parmi lesdits montants (22), et un coude (61) monté de façon à pouvoir tourner sur ledit arbre télescopique (63a, b), et où l'extrémité extérieure (62) d'au moins un élément d'entretoise parmi lesdits éléments d'entretoises de support (60) est montée de façon pivotante sur ledit coude (61).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel lesdits montants (22) comprennent des sections supérieures (28) et inférieures (30).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 2, dans lequel ladite pluralité de montants (22) comprend en outre un élément de coulisse (32) monté de façon à pouvoir coulisser sur chacun desdits montants (22).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 3, dans lequel chaque dit élément de coulisse (32) est monté sur ladite section supérieure de ladite pluralité de montants (22).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel chacun desdits éléments de barres (50) comprend une pluralité de sections de barres (54) reliées ensemble de façon articulée.
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'extrémité extérieure d'au moins un élément d'entretoise parmi lesdits éléments d'entretoises de support (60) est reliée de façon pivotante à un élément de liaison correspondant parmi lesdits éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) de façon adjacente à un montant.
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les extrémités intérieures desdits éléments de barres (50) sont reliées de façon pivotante ensemble.
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les extrémités intérieures desdits éléments de barres (50) sont reliées de façon pivotante ensemble par un moyeu central.
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ledit ensemble de périmètre extensible (34) d'éléments de liaison comprend une pluralité de paires d'éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) qui sont reliées de façon pivotante ensemble.
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 9, dans lequel ladite pluralité de paires d'éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) sont reliées de façon pivotante ensemble suivant une configuration de ciseaux de façon à pouvoir s'étendre depuis une première position rétractée s'étendant entre les paires adjacentes desdits montants (22) à une deuxième position déployée s'étendant sensiblement horizontalement entre lesdites paires adjacentes desdits montants (22).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 10, dans lequel lesdites paires d'éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) entre les paires adjacentes desdits montants (22) sont reliées ensemble à leurs extrémités intérieures (46).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 9, dans lequel ladite pluralité de montants (22) comprend en outre un élément de coulisse (32) monté de façon à pouvoir coulisser sur chacun desdits montants (22), et ladite pluralité de paires d'éléments de liaison (36, 38, 40) comprend des premiers et deuxièmes éléments de liaison (38, 40), ledit premier élément de liaison (38) comportant une extrémité extérieure (42) reliée de façon pivotante à l'extrémité supérieure (24) de l'un desdits montants (22), et ledit deuxième élément de liaison (40) comportant une extrémité extérieure (44) reliée de façon pivotante à l'un desdits éléments de coulisse (32).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, comprenant en outre une couverture de protection disposée au-dessus dudit ensemble de protection (48).
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel lesdits éléments de liaison pivotants (59) pivotent entre une position abaissée lorsque l'abri (20) se trouve dans la configuration pliée et une position relevée s'étendant au-dessus des montants (22) lorsque l'abri (20) se trouve dans la configuration déployée.
- Abri de protection pouvant être monté rapidement (20) selon la revendication 1, dans lequel lesdits éléments de liaison pivotants (59) tournent vers l'extérieur pour absorber les forces descendantes exercées sur la structure de toit et transmises vers l'extérieur par lesdits éléments de barres (50).
