Description

Sliding boards on snow, that is to say, alpine skiing, surfing, cross-country skiing and others, are increasingly richly decorated to hide the body or the internal structure of the board. The decoration gives visual effects that are pleasant and attractive for the user and those around him. Decoration is thus a significant commercial argument.

The decoration is generally made up of letters and distinctive signs representing the marks and by flat areas and colored lines. These decorated surfaces have in addition to the aesthetic effect, a protective role of the structure of the board against external aggression, such as strokes, shocks.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

It is known to realize both the decoration and the protection of the upper surface of the gliding board with a sheet or a complex of several thermoplastic materials. The sheet constituting the protective and decorative surface can be decorated from above, once the ski molded. However, in order to preserve the decoration, the sheet may advantageously be decorated on its inner face, before being positioned and linked to the internal structure of the board. The decor can also be embedded in the thickness of the decorative sheet, for example by using migrating inks, to obtain so-called "transfer" decorations. It is also possible to use multi-leaf complexes, one of which is decorated, and which are assembled by plaxing.

We know from the document FR-2,741,011 a method of decorating a board with a complex comprising a protective sheet of thermoplastic material, the surface in contact with the support being coated with at least one decorative layer. The complex is opaque, is applied under pressure on the support after being brought to the softening temperature of its components. The orientation of the colored pigments reveals the outline of the asperities of the surface of the support through the opacity of the complex, while maintaining a smooth surface on the outer face of the complex.

However, for the roughness pattern to appear through the opaque complex, it is necessary to use specific pigments for the decorative layer, and that the surface of the structure in contact with the protection element is not smooth.

It is also known from the document FR-2.830.200 a snow sliding board comprising an outer surface of the outer decorative and protective element which at least partially comprises a structured surface having a plurality of recessed portions or raised portions, the depth of the recessed portions being less than 1 thickness of the outer decoration and protection element.

However, such a rough surface for the outer element of decoration and protection has the disadvantage of hanging snow and ice, which considerably increases the board during use and hides by covering the desired aesthetic effects at the start . In addition, the realization of these external reliefs requires the use of relief molds expensive to design.

Ce document est cité en titre de l'Article 54(3) CBE.The document EP-A-1375190 discloses a snow sliding board as disclosed in the claim, but in this document the decorative layer covers the entire outer protective element. This document is cited under Article 54 (3) EPC.

Exposé de l'inventionPresentation of the invention

A main problem to be solved by the invention is to obtain a snow board on snow having an outer element of decoration and protection with smooth surface, and whose decoration gives the impression that reliefs appear on the surface. A second problem is that of implementing a decoration process that allows to obtain a visual appearance of roughness on the surface of a gliding board, without the need to use a mold with reliefs.

The invention therefore relates to a snow sliding board comprising an internal structure which has a smooth upper surface. This internal structure includes a gliding sole and a core with or without side edges. The board further comprises an outer face formed of an outer element of decoration and protection having a smooth outer surface.

According to a first aspect of the present invention, the board is characterized in that the outer decorative and protective element is transparent or translucent and is covered with a decorative layer on a part of its surface in contact with the smooth upper surface of the inner structure, the thickness of all or part of the outer decorative and protective element between the decorative layer and the smooth outer surface of the outer decorative element and protection being variable, in order to give an aesthetic effect.

In other words, the distance between the inner face and the smooth outer face of the outer element of decoration and protection is variable. This variation of distance makes it possible to create effects that are visible through the outer element of decoration and protection. This variation in distance does not affect the outer surface of the outer decorative and protective element which remains smooth.

Very favorably, the thickness of the outer element of decoration and protection can vary, thanks to the presence of a patch having reliefs. This insert can be interposed between the decorative layer and the internal structure. The insert having reliefs may be a corrugated plate or a non-perforated textile.

The thickness of the outer element of decoration and protection may be preferably variable through the presence of a pre-deformation of the outer element of decoration and protection, prior to its association with the rest of the gliding board. This pre-deformation may be located on the face intended to receive the decorative layer. The pre-deformation may result from hot calendering or local deformation, for example by means of heating punch, or high frequency or ultra-sonic devices.

Particularly advantageously, the deformation can be obtained at the time of molding by a grid or a plate. The grid or the plate may be interposed between the decorative layer and the internal structure.

The thickness of the outer decoration and protection element may favorably vary between 0.3 mm and 2 mm. This thickness may preferably be substantially equal to 0.6 mm. In practice, the depth of the reliefs, measured between the high points and the low points of the surface of the decorative layer in contact with the internal structure of the board, is between 10% and 80% of the maximum thickness of the exterior element of decoration and protection. In other words, the thickness of the outer decoration and protection element before deformation varies between 20% and 90% of its maximum thickness.

The decorative layer may consist of a lacquer layer and / or a screen printing ink layer and / or a lacquer layer. The lacquer may be pigmented, that is to say comprise metal particles or other. The outer decoration and protection element may further comprise at least one additional decorative layer coated on all or part of the surface of the decorative layer coming into contact with the outer element.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

As illustrated by Figures 1 and 2 , a snowboard on snow, for example an alpine ski (1), has a gliding sole (2) bordered by two side edges (3 and 4). The ski (1) comprises an upper protective and decorative element (6) forming the protection and decoration of the upper face of the ski (1). The ski (1) comprises two lateral reinforcing elements (7 and 8) forming the edges. An internal structure (9) of the ski (1) is formed for example by injection of a polyurethane foam and further comprises one or more internal reinforcements (not shown). The internal structure (9) has a substantially smooth upper surface (10).

In this example, a decorated area (11) appears on a part of the surface of the upper face of the ski (1). This decorated area reveals relief effects, represented here in the form of a regular grid (12). The upper decoration and protection element (6) is transparent. The outer face (13) of the upper decorative and protective element (6) is smooth.

L'élément supérieur de décoration et de protection (6) absorbe les variations d'épaisseur (E1 - E2).According to the invention, and in order to create the visual effect of reliefs, deformations are provided on the inner face (16) of the upper decoration and protection element (6). As explained below, several embodiments make it possible to obtain these deformations. In general, these deformations (14) give two different thicknesses (E 1 and E 2 ) between the smooth outer face (13) and the most protruding portion of the inner face (16) of the upper decorative element and protection (6). The upper decoration and protection element (6) absorbs thickness variations (E 1 - E 2 ).

The deformations (14) obtained are distributed evenly over all or part of the inner face (16) of the upper decoration and protection element (6). The assembly obtained has these deformations (14) over the entire surface (16) of the upper decorative element (6) or only a part to obtain this effect in a localized manner.

In a first embodiment (see Figures 2 and 3 ), the deformations (14) are made using a grid (17) interposed between the upper set of decoration and protection (6) and the internal structure (9). A decorative layer (18), for example a pigmented lacquer, accentuates the visual effects of the reliefs obtained. The grid (17) may be a glass grid, a metal grid, etc. The intercalated part may also have another shape such as for example a perforated plate, a corrugated plate, a non-perforated fabric with a very tight weave, and still others.

Cette déformation préalable est obtenue par exemple par calandrage localisé de la feuille donnant l'élément supérieur (26) à surface extérieure lisse (23).In a second embodiment (see Figures 4 to 6 ), the deformations (24) are obtained by prior deformation or pre-deformation of the inner face (36) of the upper decoration and protection element (26). This prior deformation is obtained for example by localized calendering of the sheet giving the upper element (26) to smooth outer surface (23).

A decorative layer (28), for example a pigmented lacquer, accentuates the visual effects of the reliefs obtained, at least partially filling the recessed zones (27) formed by calendering. The visual effect is thus obtained not only by the variation of thickness (E 1 - E 2 ) of the transparent layer, but also by the variation of pigmented lacquer density, between the most excavated areas (27), and the least deformed areas (25).

The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described and illustrated. Many modifications can be made, without departing from the scope defined by the scope of the set of claims.

Snow gliding board comprising an internal structure (9) with a smooth upper surface (10), said internal structure (9) comprising a sliding sole plate (2) and a core with or without lateral edges, said board further comprising an external face formed of an external decorative and protective element (6, 26) with a smooth external surface (13, 23), characterized in that the external decorative and protective element (6, 26) is transparent or translucent and is coated with a decorative layer (18, 28) over one part of its surface (16, 36) coming into contact with the smooth upper surface (10) of the internal structure (9), the thickness (E1, E2) of all or part of the external decorative and protective element (6, 26) between the decorative layer (18, 28) and the smooth external surface (13, 23) of the external decorative and protective element (6, 26) being variable, so as to give an aesthetic effect.
  2. Snow gliding board as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the thickness (E1, E2) of the external decorative and protective element (26) is variable due to the presence of an insert with projections, interposed between the decorative layer (18) and the internal structure (9).
  3. Snow gliding board as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the insert with projections is an undulated plate or a non openwork textile.
  4. Snow gliding board as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the thickness (E1, E2) of the external decorative and protective element (26) is variable due to the presence of a pre-deformation of said element (26) on the side of the decorated face (36), prior to its association with the rest of the board (1).
  5. Snow gliding board as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the thickness (E1, E2) of the external decorative and protective element (26) is variable due to a calendering process that generates a pre-deformation of said element (26) prior to its association with the rest of the board (1).
  6. Snow gliding board as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the thickness of the external decorative and protective element (26) is variable due to the implementation of local hot deformations that generate a pre-deformation of said element (26) prior to its association with the rest of the board (1).
  7. Snow gliding board as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the thickness (E1, E2) of the external decorative and protective element (6, 26) varies between 0.3 mm and 2 mm, and is preferably substantially equal to 0.6 mm.
  8. Snow gliding board as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the thickness (E1, E2) of the external decorative and protective element (6, 26) varies between 10% and 80% of the maximum thickness of said element (6, 26) before deformation.
  9. Snow gliding board as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the decorative layer (18, 28) is constituted by a layer of lacquer and/or a layer of screen printing ink and/or a layer of varnish.
  10. Snow gliding board as claimed in claim 9, characterized in that the lacquer is pigmented.
  11. Snow gliding board as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the external decorative and protective element (6, 26) further comprises at least one additional decorative layer coated onto all or part of the surface of the decorative layer (18, 28) coming into contact with the external element (6, 26).
