Abstract

The invention provide a device for repositioning and washing brushes for toilet bowls, which comprises a body (11) forming a washing chamber (12), a system for holding in place said body on a supporting structure, a means (13) connectable to a water supply system to supply at least a jet of water to said washing chamber, and means (14) of discharging the water from the bottom of said washing chamber towards an outlet. One brush to be treated is placed in said chamber and possibly turned to be sprayed by the washing water.

Description

    Field of Invention
  • This invention concerns in general the sanitary equipment field and in particular a device for housing and washing brushes for water closet bowls.
  • State of the Art
  • Usually, following use, a brush for toilet bowls is replaced in a holder or receptacle, which can be in various shapes, fixed to a wall or simply placed on the floor. However, the functions of the holders or receptacles for brushes are limited above all to housing and hiding the brush and to receive the drops it looses. Brush and relative holder or receptacle are also subject to incrustations and very easily become receptacles for bacteria so much so that they require frequent washing and disinfecting. Consequently it is evident that these housing conditions for a brush cannot be considered as being exactly hygienic and often they create hesitation and disgust in those who have to use it outside their domestic environment, such as in public toilets, hotels, group homes, etc.
  • Objects and Summary of the Invention
  • One object of this invention is certainly to provide a device which allows efficient washing of the brush for water closet bowls even after each single use to keep it constantly clean so as to avoid the drawbacks complained of above.
  • Another object of the invention is to propose a device for washing brushes for water closet bowls which can be installed by connecting it to the water supply in the same way as any other bathroom equipment, and disguised as wanted to make it a furnishing for bathrooms.
  • These objects are achieved in compliance with the invention with a device for repositioning and washing brushes for water closet bowls, comprising a body forming a washing chamber, a system for fixing in position said body on a supporting structure, means connectable to a water supply system to supply at least a jet of water to said washing chamber, and means of discharging the water from a bottom of said washing chamber towards an outlet, the brush to be washed being placed in said chamber and possibly turned to be sprayed by the washing water.
  • Brief Description of the Drawings
  • An example of a practical realisation of the invention will however be illustrated in detail following this description made in reference to the enclosed indicative and non limiting drawings, in which:
  • Fig. 1 is an external schematic view of the device, and
  • Fig.2 is a cross section to clearly view the main parts.
  • Detailed Description of the Invention
  • As represented the proposed device includes a body 11 which forms a washing chamber 12 in communication, on one side, with a means 13 of supplying a flow of water in the direction of arrow A and, on the bottom, with a water discharge 14 towards an outlet in the direction of arrow B. An overflow duct 15 can also be envisaged in the body 11.
  • The body 11 can have different shapes and be equipped with a system for placing in position, for example attached to a wall by way of any appropriate means, such as a supporting bracket 16, as shown in Fig.1, or by means of joining by tight fitting. If wanted the body 11 can also be shaped and/or contained and disguised as a furnishing coordinated with other elements present in a bathroom.
  • The water adduction means 13 can be made up of a tap 17, which is connected to the water supply system and which delivers water into the washing chamber 12 directly or, better, through spray nozzles 18 directed towards the centre of the chamber itself.
  • A plug 19 is associated with the bottom drain 14 which moves into an open and closed position by means of a control rod 20 moving it up and down. The bottom outlet 14 is connectable, as is normal, to an outlet which, in new sanitary services, can be wall mounted made especially, whereas in already equipped services, it can be connected to the discharge of another bathroom unit, such as a bidet.
  • The washing chamber 12 will have a shape compatible with that of the brush 21 it has to house and may be closed at the top by a separate cover 22 or one connected to the brush handle. On the inside walls and on the bottom of the washing chamber 12 there can be protrusions or teeth means 23 to facilitate cleaning of the brush.
  • The action of the device described above is evident. The brush, once used is inserted into the washing chamber, where, sprayed by and/or dipped in the water and, if necessary, at the same time turned, is accurately washed. After being washed, the brush may remain in the device under perfectly hygienic conditions.
