Aus diesem Grunde werden für diesen Zweck vielfach rotierende Schneidwerkzeuge eingesetzt, die mit im wesentlichen radial verlaufenden Messerschneiden den Gutstrang schlagartig durchtrennen. Die Ausführungsvariante einer erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zum Schneiden von Gutsträngen nach den Fig. 3 bis 5 zeichnet sich somit durch eine besondere Einfachheit hinsichtlich der Konstruktion aus, ist allerdings nur bei bestimmten Werkstoffeigenschaften des Gutstranges einsetzbar. Die durch die Mehrfachanordnung der Messer und der Strangführungen erreichbaren Vorteile hinsichtlich der Schnittleistung und des Unwuchtausgleiches können selbstverständlich unabhängig von den Werkstoffeigenschaften der zu schneidenden Gutstränge ausgenützt werden, wenn die Messer des Schneidwerkzeuges nicht durch ebene, sondern durch wendelförmige Messerblätter entsprechend den Fig. 1 und 2 gebildet werden.The rotationally symmetrical with respect to the axis of rotation 4 arranged knife blades 14 cooperate with two strand guides 1 in the form of guide cylinders 2, as already in connection with the Fig. 1 and 2 has been described.   3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the knife consists of a helical blade, of which the outer peripheral edge forms the cutting edge (7).
  4. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the knife comprises a flat blade (14) inclined at an acute angle relative to the axis of rotation (4) with a cutting edge (7) extending along the outer peripheral edge.
  5. Device according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that at least two elongated object guides (1) are disposed rotationally symmetrically relative to the axis of rotation (4) of the cutting tool (3).
  6. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the cutting tool (3) comprises a number of knives arranged rotationally symmetrical relative to each other corresponding to the number of elongated object guides (1).
