Definitions
- the present invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation valve for an internal combustion engine, in particular in V-form with exhaust gas recirculation according to the preamble of claim 1.
- DE 43 25 600 A1 is a supercharged internal combustion engine with at least two exhaust gas turbochargers known whose exhaust gas turbines each arranged in a separate exhaust pipe are, wherein the cross section of each exhaust pipe downstream of the Exhaust gas turbine via a valve element as a function of Operating parameters of the internal combustion engine is controllable.
- a disadvantage of the described internal combustion engine is in particular that the cylinder banks and the exhaust pipes through the rotary valve are not completely separated from each other, but this depending on the position only one of the exhaust pipes closes while in the open exhaust pipe pressure oscillations can occur, which is in the respective Continue cylinder bank.
- an exhaust gas recirculation valve for the exhaust gas recirculation of an internal combustion engine in particular an internal combustion engine in V-form, indicate at which the exhaust gas is taken from two cylinder banks, wherein the two cylinder banks and the exhaust pipes at one Closed position of the exhaust gas recirculation valve on the exhaust side are separated.
- the exhaust gas recirculation valve according to the invention is characterized characterized in that the valve stem with a valve plate and a piston formed thereon is in communication, wherein this piston in a closed position of the exhaust gas recirculation valve the inlet openings are separated from each other.
- the exhaust gas recirculation valve in an open position a connection the exhaust pipes and the cylinder banks provides.
- the piston is in one formed in a base of the exhaust gas recirculation valve Cylinder out, being between a wall of the cylinder and the housing are formed two ribs.
- two chambers are formed in the base, through the wall of the cylinder, the housing and the ribs are limited, and one of the inlet openings opens into one the chambers, wherein the chambers in a flow direction through the pistons are completed.
- a gap is between the piston and the wall of the cylinder, which is so dimensioned is that the piston movement is damped.
- Figs. 1A to 1C show various views of one According to the invention configured exhaust gas recirculation valve. 1
- the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 In the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 according to the invention two exhaust gas streams from two cylinder banks of an internal combustion engine in V-construction merged and in a common intake manifold initiated. The exhaust gas flows must be closed Exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 be separated. The pressure pulsations, which by opening the exhaust valves of each Cylinders arise in the cylinder banks, allowed the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 do not vibrate.
- the inventively embodied exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 comprises essentially a gas-conducting housing 2, which two Inlet openings 3, 4 and an outlet opening 5 has.
- the Inlet openings 3 and 4 are visible in FIGS. 1A and 1C, which Outlet opening 5 in Fig. 1A and 1B.
- the inlet openings 3 and 4 are arranged in a base 12 of the gas-conducting housing 2.
- the outlet opening 5 can for better connection to the Not shown suction tube formed nozzle-shaped be.
- Fig. 1C is a plan view of the exhaust gas recirculation valve. 1 shown in which a later described in more detail valve stem 7 can be seen through a recess 18. Not one further illustrated valve drive is at least partially in arranged the recess 18 and closes this against the Environment.
- FIGS. 1A to 1C 1 are sections along different Planes through the exhaust gas recirculation valve shown in FIGS. 1A to 1C 1 and a section in the area E shown.
- Fig. 2A shows a section along that in Fig. 1B with A-A designated line.
- the valve arrangement 6 comprises the already further above-mentioned valve stem 7, a valve plate 8 and a Piston 9.
- the valve stem 7 is in a recess 10th guided, which is formed in the housing 2.
- the valve stem 7 can be integrally formed with the valve disc 8 or connected as a separate component with this form-fitting be.
- the valve disk 8 is part of a piston 9, which is hollow formed and guided in a cylinder 11.
- the Piston 9 can be used as a separate component or in one piece with the Valve disc 8 may be formed.
- the cylinder 11 is in one Base 12 of the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 is formed.
- the housing 2 has two Ribs 13, which between the inlet openings 3 and 4 are formed and an interior 14 of the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 split into two chambers 15. Is the Pistons 9 in the position shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B are the two chambers 15 separated from each other.
- Fig. 2C is a section on the inflow side of the piston 9 through the base 12 of the exhaust gas recirculation valve. 1 placed.
- Fig. 2C is a section on the inflow side of the piston 9 through the base 12 of the exhaust gas recirculation valve. 1 placed.
- FIG. 2D shows a further section through the housing 2, FIG. which is downstream of the section shown in Fig. 2C is placed through the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1.
- the Wall of the cylinder 11 to see in supervision, the chambers 15th However, they are still separated from each other by the piston 9.
- the two chambers 15 are connected to each other, and exhaust from both exhaust pipes may be the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 flow through.
- Gap 16 is dimensioned so that on the one hand the Leakage can be kept sufficiently low and on the other hand a clamping of the piston 9 in the cylinder 11 is prevented can be. About the extent of the gap 16, the attenuation of the Valve disc 8 realized and adjusted.
- Fig. 2E is the designated in Fig. 2B with E cutout shown enlarged.
- An edge 17 of the cylinder 11 is in this case designed so that the piston 9 during its movement along it grazes and deposits in the area of the piston 9, which can be caused by particles in the exhaust gas, be stripped off. As a result, the formation of encrustations, which lead to jamming of the piston 9 in the cylinder 11 could be avoided.
- the advantages of the exhaust gas recirculation valve 1 according to the invention lie especially in the simple realization of simultaneous Control of exhaust gas recirculation and merging of two exhaust streams, without being switched off exhaust gas recirculation an overflow is possible.
- the inventive Design allows by the piston 9, vibrations of the To prevent valve disc 8.
- the damping can be set about the play of the piston 9.
