Abstract

The invention relates to an object (1) with a folded card (20) glued thereto, whereby the separation force value of the surfaces (11) of the object in the region in which the folded card (20) is glued on and the adhesive power of the adhesive (30) used for gluing are selected relative to each other such that the folded card (20) together with the glue (30) may be detached from the object with no damage being caused. The invention further relates to a method for producing an object with a glued-on, removable folding card and to a multilayer material which can be used to produce such an object.

STATE OF THE ART

Objects of the aforementioned type are known, the adhesive used usually being one that is also used for self-adhesive labels, envelopes or the like. Such adhesives are referred to as self-adhesive or pressure sensitive adhesive and are in the Optimized for a high and permanent adhesive force with regard to their intended use. You don't want labels to peel off or letters open on their own. In most cases, the adhesive connection can only be released by destroying at least one of the materials bonded to one another.

In order to enable the detachment of the adhesive without destruction of the material in the aforementioned objects, they are provided locally in the area covered by the folding card with a separating layer, by means of which the separating value of the surface compared to the adhesive is reduced locally, typically by a factor of 2-5 , A silicone-based one is usually used as the separating layer, although in principle there are also other materials with similar properties.

The separating layer, hereinafter referred to simply as the silicone layer, can be applied on the one hand by wet application of a silicon material. On the other hand, it is also possible to apply the silicone layer dry by gluing a laminate onto the object, which e.g. on both sides of a load-bearing layer, on the one hand, has the silicone layer and, on the other hand, the kicker layer required for gluing the laminate.

As for the adhesive layer assigned to the folding card, it is known, on the one hand, to apply it to the silicone field by wet coating as well. The folding card is then applied to the pre-coated adhesive field in a subsequent step. On the other hand, it is known to apply folding cards already coated with an adhesive to the silicon field in one working step.

Finally, solutions have also already been described in which all of the aforementioned layers are applied dry in a single operation of a multi-layer material comprising all of these layers.

In the case of forms, the above-described work steps are usually carried out in an endless process with a form material in roll form, the above-mentioned laminates being applied dry, in particular by so-called dispensing with a dispensing unit onto the running form material web. The disadvantages of the previously known solutions can be seen, on the one hand, with regard to the wet coatings in the fact that these are complex in terms of equipment and technologically not so easy to master. In the dry application of laminants, on the other hand, there is always an additional layer in the laminants as a carrier layer for the silicone layer, which additionally applies. In the case of forms, this leads to an undesirable thickening in the area of the folding card, which can give rise to problems, for example when processing the forms in printers. If the aforementioned layers are applied in several successive steps, there is a tolerance problem with regard to the exact placement of the layers one above the other. One speaks here of keeping the register. For this reason, the layers are usually also of different sizes, so that, for example, the folding card slightly protrudes on all sides from the underlying adhesive layer. With the detached and folded folding card, however, this means that it is not glued to the edge.

PRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

In view of this prior art, the object of the invention is to provide an object of the type mentioned at the outset which avoids the disadvantages mentioned and is simple and extremely rational to produce. Suitable manufacturing processes are also to be specified by the invention.

These and other objects are achieved according to the invention by the features specified in claim 1. The essence of the invention is therefore that the separation value of the surface of the object in the area in which the folding card is glued is approximately equal to the separation value of the surface of the object in another area which is not covered by the folding card and the adhesive is relative this surface separation value is set to be removable and non-destructive. According to the invention, the adhesive is therefore not optimized for the highest possible adhesive force and the separation value of the surface of the object which comes into contact with the adhesive is locally reduced. Rather, the separation value of the surface of the object, for example without any further measures, is simply left as it is due to the material properties of the object and thus also in another surface area, and instead the adhesive force of the adhesive is set correspondingly low or weak relative to this separation value. This initially eliminates the need to provide a silicone layer on the object in the area of the folding card. Any additional support layer for the silicone layer is therefore also eliminated. The folding card can be pre-coated with the relatively weakly adhering adhesive in one step onto the object. This also eliminates the problems explained with regard to register accuracy and the adhesive can be coated on the folding card up to its outer edge.

From a procedural point of view, the invention proposes that the application of the pre-coated folding cards, in particular for forms, be carried out rationally in an endless process by dispensing, it being possible to use a conventional label dispenser to which the folding cards are e.g. lined up on an endless separating material web made of silicone or label paper. The continuous release material web with the folding cards and the weakly adhering adhesive can in particular be completely prefabricated as a laminate or multi-layer material by a manufacturer specializing in this and delivered to the actual manufacturer of the forms, usually a so-called form printer, for further processing. It is also possible to give the folding cards any shape by suitable punching of the laminate. The resulting lead frame can either be removed directly after the punching or only when the folding cards are dispensed. All of these techniques are known per se from labeling technology and therefore do not need to be described in more detail here.

The aforementioned prefabricated multilayer material is also the subject of the present invention.

Insofar as the invention relates to a surface area of the object other than the surface area covered by the folding card and its surface properties, this should in particular be understood to mean the entire free surface of the object, at least insofar as it consists of the same material. For the application of the invention, however, it is irrelevant whether a supporting or at least supporting substrate forms the relevant surface, or whether it is provided with a non-supporting coating, such as a print, a paint or the like. Of course, the adhesive used must adhere to the object so firmly that the folding card does not come off prematurely when the object is used. Of course, the connection or adhesion of the adhesive to the folding card must also be stronger than to the object, so that the adhesive will go with the folding card when it is removed. A differentiated liability of the adhesive to the folding card on the one hand and the object on the other hand is required.

Advantageous and thereby preferred refinements and embodiments of the invention are characterized in the dependent claims.

It is particularly preferred if the adhesive adheres to the object with a first adhesive force and against itself with a second, higher adhesive force.

It is further preferred if the surface area of the object that is in contact with the adhesive can be at least partially labeled and / or printed on before and / or after the folding card is detached. In the prior art, this is practically not possible at least after the folding card has been detached by the exposed silicone layer, because the silicone material accepts virtually no ink, printing ink or toner.

The folding card is advantageously glued directly to a load-bearing layer of the object, this layer in the case of forms being in particular a layer of paper or a film. In its simplest form, a form according to the invention simply consists of a paper layer to which the folding card is directly glued. The folding card itself preferably consists of a single or multi-layer paper and / or plastic material and / or a laminate of paper and plastic material. This material is further preferably writable and / or printable and, if necessary, provided with a writable and / or printable layer on one surface. The material for the folding card can be opaque, but can also be completely or partially transparent.

Furthermore, the folding card is preferably glued to the object over its entire surface, a zone not provided with adhesive being able to facilitate its detachment at most in a limited edge area, in particular only on one side. According to a further preferred embodiment, the folding card is provided with a punch, in particular a perforation, or another material weakening, which serves as a folding aid. This can advantageously be applied even before the folding cards are dispensed, for example in the laminate mentioned, in particular even in the same operation with the punching of the folding cards in this laminate.

The adhesive can furthermore be set in such a way that it also adheres non-permanently to itself and the folded and glued parts of the folding card can be separated from one another in a non-destructive manner and preferably even glued to one another again using the same adhesive. This makes it possible to e.g. to glue in an information carrier, a picture or the like, which is still accessible afterwards. Any information on it could thus initially be hidden in the folding card and only made visible by opening the folding card.

In another embodiment of the invention in connection with forms, the inclusion of an information carrier between the parts of the folding card can be quasi-automated in that in the form material in the area covered by the folding card, for example by means of a preferably web-free and preferably fully encircling surface from the rear side thereof Die-cutting a die-cut is punched out after the folding card has been dispensed on the front of the form. When the folding card is detached, this diecut goes with the folding card and comes to lie between the card parts when they are folded and glued together. This is particularly useful if the form is pre-printed in the area of the folding card and the folding card e.g. consists of a transparent film material because the print job on the diecut is then visible through the material of the folding card and is enclosed and sealed on all sides by this material in particular. By removing the die-cut from the form, it does not appear on the form and does not lead to an additional thickening of the same.

If such a thickening is not critical, which should be the case in particular with objects other than forms, it can be provided according to a further embodiment of the invention that a flat substrate is glued to the object in the area covered by the folding card below the folding card. So that this with When the folding card comes off with it, the adhesive force of the substrate with respect to the object must be set weaker than the adhesive force which the folding card develops by means of its adhesive with respect to the substrate. The substrate is simply dispensed onto the object in front of the folding card, in the case of endless processing, possibly even in the same pass. In this way, it is in particular possible to introduce a special substrate, such as, for example, an electronically non-contact detectable circuit, into the folding card when it is detached, again virtually automatically.

If the folding card is provided with a folding aid which is arranged such that after the parts of the folding card have been folded along this folding aid, one of the two parts with an area coated with the adhesive protrudes over the other part, the folding card with this area is at one can be stuck in any other position. The folding card thus formed can e.g. used as a coupon or as a tab in a registry or the like.

In a further embodiment, the folding card is designed in such a way that it can be used to produce a trailer which can be plugged together to form a closed loop, in particular for luggage, after detachment.

In yet another embodiment, the folding card is designed so that it can be used as a key fob after being detached.

The form 10, which is only partially shown in FIG. 1, bears on its top or front side 11 a folding card 20 which is glued to this side in its entirety by means of a relatively weakly adhesive adhesive 30. The folding card has two parts 21, 22 which are intended to be glued to one another after the folding card 20 has been detached and folded. A perforation line is stamped between the two parts 21 and 22 as a folding aid. The area around the folding card 20, which is not covered by the folding card, is denoted by 15 in FIG. 1 a).

In Fig. 1 b) the structure of the form is shown in section, whereby it can be seen that the folding card 20 with the adhesive 30 directly, i.e. without, as in the area 15 surrounding the folding card 20, there are no further layers adhered to the surface of the form.

There are no residues of the adhesive 30 left on the form 10 when the folding card 20 is detached. Rather, this has completely gone with the folding card 20, on which it is also required for gluing its two parts 21 and 22. Due to the residue-free detachment of the adhesive 30, the area on the form cover covered by the folding card 20 can subsequently be written on as required, which is also indicated by the lines 40 in FIG. 1 e).

Conversely, the area initially covered by the folding card could have already been provided with information before the folding card was stuck on, which information (in the case of a non-transparent folding card) only becomes visible after it has been detached. It can be advantageous e.g. a confidential code or simply a return address.

The detachment of the folding card 20 from the form 10 is possible because the adhesive 30 is relatively weakly adhering to the surface 11 of the form 10. On the other hand, it is fixed on the folding card 20, but at least firmly anchored, for example around a factor of 1.5 - 3. In this respect, there is a differentiated adhesive effect or adhesion on two sides. In contrast, in the folded folding card 20 according to FIG. 1 e), the adhesive 30 preferably exhibits a comparatively high adhesive force relative to itself, which is greater than the adhesive force with which it adheres to the form 10 or its surface 11.

So that the layers 10 and 21 or 22 and also the adhesive 30 do not have to tear apart even when the folding card 10 is detached, their internal strength, i.e. their cohesion may also be greater than the adhesive force with which the adhesive 30 adheres to the form. Again, a factor in the range between 1.5 and 3 is preferred.

For a variety of applications within the scope of the invention, e.g. an adhesive 30 which is made according to the so-called Finat method No. 1 developed an adhesive force between 1-15 N, preferably between 2-5 N, in each case based on a strip width of 50 mm. For the form 10 of FIG. 1, as well as those of all the following examples, practically any material can be used, in particular, however, a paper material with a thickness in the range from 80 g / m ² to 200 g / m ² . The same applies to the folding card 20, but for which, in addition to paper, in particular a plastic material or a laminate of, for example, a film and paper is used. The form and / or the folding card can be printed on one or both sides.

In the case of forms in particular, it is preferred to provide them with at least one further imprint only after the folding cards have been stuck on. It is optically very appealing if the folding card is printed with a sloping edge, which means that a color area or a subject is printed on the folding card as well as on an area adjacent to it, without interruption across the edge of the folding card.

Especially with forms, it is of course also possible to provide these and the folding card stuck on them with individual information, so-called personalization, for which purpose commercially available laser or inkjet printers can be used. In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the folding card 20 is glued to any other object 100 than a form. It itself is constructed here from a laminate with a paper layer 24 and a film layer 25, with a coating 26 also being applied to the film layer, which enables the film layer 25 to be printed or written on. A corresponding imprint is designated 41. Furthermore, at 31, a narrow edge zone below the folded card part 21 is kept free of the adhesive 30, as a result of which the folded card 20 can be detached from the surface of the object 100 more easily here.

FIG. 3 shows a folding card 20, in which a perforation 23 has been attached asymmetrically as a folding aid with respect to its two parts 21 and 22 so that after the two parts have been folded together, the part 22 protrudes beyond the part 21 and the adhesive 30 in the protruding area exposed. In this form, the folding card 20 can e.g. used as a coupon and somewhere e.g. be glued for marking purposes. It could also be used as a tab in a registry.

In the embodiment of FIG. 4, a substrate piece 50 is inserted between the two parts 21 and 22 of the folding card 20, which is smaller in area than the two parts 21 and 22. These are therefore in direct contact around the substrate piece 50 and hermetically enclose the substrate piece between them in a kind of pocket. The piece of substrate can be a printed piece of paper or also a photo or the like, the material of the folding card usefully being transparent. However, the map material could also not be transparent, so that the piece of substrate 50 and any information present thereon cannot be recognized from the outside. In this case, it would be at least advantageous if the adhesive 30 only holds the two parts 21 and 22 together so tightly that they can be detached from one another if necessary in order to enable access to the substrate piece 50, and preferably even several times in succession. In this embodiment, however, the cohesion of the parts 21 and 22 and possibly also the substrate piece 50 should be greater than the adhesive force of the adhesive 30 against itself, for example again by a factor between 1.5 and 3. As already mentioned, the application of the pre-coated folding cards, particularly in the case of forms, can be carried out rationally in an endless process by dispensing, whereby a common label dispenser can be used, to which the folding cards are fed, for example, lined up on an endless separating material web made of silicone or label paper. The endless separating material web with the folding cards and the weakly adhesive adhesive can be completely prefabricated as a laminate. It is also possible to give the folding cards any shape by suitable punching of the laminate. That here The resulting leadframe can either be removed immediately after the punching or only when the folding cards are dispensed.

The openings and indentations mentioned in connection with FIG. 7 can also be produced by suitable punching. It can be advantageous to carry out the punching in such a way that there is no punching waste because this could lead to machine-related faults in the continuous process. This is already automatically given by the shape of the incisions 81-86 of FIG. 7.

Fig. 8 shows under a) - c) variants of folding cards 20 with printable and / or inscribable folding part 27 similar to the folding part 87 of Fig. 7. In Fig. 8 a) the folding part 27 is adjacent to the folding card part 21 and is after detaching the folding card in a first cut, first folded over against this part and glued to it. In a second step, the two folding card parts 21 and 22 are folded together and glued together. The folding part 27 in FIG. 8 a) is somewhat smaller in area than the two card parts 21 and 22, so that they enclose the folding part 27 in the fully glued folding card on three sides and are directly glued to one another along three edge strips. FIG. 9 shows yet another folding card 90, which can advantageously be used, for example, as a key ring. In Fig. 9 a) the folding card 90 is shown on a form 10 in supervision. Symmetrically to a first folding aid line 93, it has two folding card parts 91 and 92. The two folding card parts 91 and 92 are each divided into a main part 95 and a smaller area by a second folding aid line 94 perpendicular to the first Folded part 96 divided. The incision 97 can e.g. use as a tear-proof eyelet for a key ring, as shown in Fig. 9 c). The folding part 96 can be folded along the second folding aid line 94 against the main part 95 and, as is also shown in FIG. 9c), can be easily fixed in this position by means of the incision 98 by a kind of looping in. Any inscription that may be present on the folding part 96 or on the main part 95 under the folding part 96 is then covered and cannot be read easily.

As with the examples described above, the two folding aid lines 93 and 94 can be listed as perforation lines. Since the second fold along the second folding aid line 94 comprises two layers, an adapted cut-to-web ratio is recommended compared to the first folding aid line 93. Alternatively, in a modification of the tear-resistant incisions 97 or 98, a tear-resistant hinge punch 99 could also be made along the second fold line, which is formed by straight, longer incisions with curved ends. This type of hinge punching, which is shown in FIG. 9d), has the advantage of a low bending resistance and can withstand high bending numbers.
