A disadvantage of the known device is that the handrail drive is usable only for encapsulated deflection wheels. The centrally arranged pulley with the drive chain must always be covered for safety reasons.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention aims to remedy this situation. The invention, as characterized in
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that in escalators or moving walkways with elegant balustrade designed as a truss supporting body can be built slim. In addition, the handrail guide can be simplified and the handrail bending changes can be minimized thanks to the handrail drive acting directly on the diverter wheel. Another advantage is that the deflection can be built as slim as the balustrades and that the designer has more freedom in the design of the deflection. The truss width can be reduced and the length of the handrail shortened. The handrail no longer crosses the step chain. The handrail intermediate shaft and chain lubrication omitted.
