Description

Anwendungsgebiet der ErfindungField of application of the invention

The present invention relates to a mechanism for a chair with a gas spring for the synchronous control of the inclination of his seat and a backrest articulated thereto in a displaceable axis of rotation. The seat rests on a base placed on the floor. The gas spring is articulated on the one hand in a rotation axis at the front of the seat and on the other hand in a rotation axis on the base. The mechanism allows the chair from its initial position - in principle, horizontal seat and vertical backrest - to adjust to a forward, negative inclined writing position and a reclined back relaxation position . To vary the seat height, a further, vertically installed gas spring may be provided.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

US 4 986 601 A discloses a synchronous mechanism for the adjustment of a chair from a forward inclination over a normal position to a reclined backward relaxation position. For this purpose, a pair of coil springs between a fixed seat support and a multi-hinged seat support is arranged. This mechanism has proven itself over the years, but takes a larger volume and is relatively expensive, therefore installation and cost-intensive.

Aufgabe der ErfindungObject of the invention

In view of the above disadvantages, the invention has for its object to propose a simplified mechanism with adequate utility properties.

Übersicht über die ErfindungOverview of the invention

The mechanism is provided for a chair with a first gas spring for synchronous control of the inclination of its seat and a backrest articulated thereto in a displaceable axis of rotation. The seat rests on one on the Floor-mounted underframe. The first gas spring is articulated on the one hand in a rotational axis at the front of the seat and on the other hand in a rotational axis on the base. The first gas spring surrounds a sealed housing enclosing a gas chamber. Within the gas chamber, a piston with the piston rod outgoing therefrom is limitedly axially displaceable. The piston rod extends away from the piston in the expulsion direction, while the diametrical axial direction is defined as the insertion direction. Before the piston, in Austriebsrichtung, a spring element is arranged. The piston is in the initial position, with in principle horizontal seat and vertical backrest, the spring element in a neutral position, and in weight concentration on the front portion of the seat, as evoked by the prevention of a user, the distance between the two increases the first gas spring enclosing rotary axes. Thus, the piston acts against the spring element and can move beyond the zero position, opposite to the insertion direction, namely further in Austriebsrichtung, via a path to a preferred end position. In this case, the front of the seat lowers against the action of the spring element from the zero position in a negative position inclined to the ground. The movement of the seat is followed by a synchronous adjustment of the backrest with forward tilt; The chair is thereby adjusted to the writing position.

The piston is in the unlocked zero position on the spring element, and in weight concentration on the rear portion of the seat, as caused when reclining a user, the distance between the two the first gas spring enclosing axes of rotation decreases. As a result, the piston moves away from the zero position, in the insertion direction, namely opposite to the direction of expulsion, from the spring element and can move over a path as far as an inserted end position. In this case, the front portion of the seat rises against the Austriebstendenz the first gas spring from the zero position in a raised to the ground position. The movement of the seat is followed by a synchronous adjustment of the backrest with inclination to the rear; The chair is thus adjusted to the relaxed position.

The following features relate to specific embodiments of the invention: The one axis of rotation is located below the seat and is displaceable. The underframe is formed by a foot and a seat support. Between the foot and the seat support may be at least in principle vertically standing spring, preferably a second gas spring, be installed on the piston rod of the seat support is placed. The other axis of rotation is fixed and arranged on the seat support. Axially through the piston rod of the first gas spring extends an externally operable valve rod, on which a valve cone is arranged, to which a complementary valve seat is located in the piston. When the valve plug is closed, the gas exchange between both sides of the piston is prevented. The piston rod exits the housing of the first gas spring through an axial passage. The spring element is fixed within the housing and adjacent to the passage.

The spring element of the first gas spring is made of rubber or plastic. Alternatively, it is a diaphragm spring or designed as a pre-compressed gas cushion. For example, the spring element in principle has the shape of a pipe piece which surrounds the guided out of the housing piston rod. Tabs are hinged on the one hand on the seat support in a fixed axis of rotation and on the other hand on the seat in a displaceable axis of rotation. The lower extensions of the backrest are articulated in a fixed axis of rotation on the seat support. Between the rear region of the seat and the seat support may advantageously be arranged a spring, preferably a helical spring, which acts parallel to the first gas spring.

At the rear portion of the seat support 10 , a spring mount 12 is arranged, in which a coil spring 11 is inserted, which is supported against the seat 3 .

At the front region of the seat carrier 10 , the bearing head 7 is articulated with the ram 70 guided axially therein in a fixed axis of rotation D4 . In the bearing head 7 , the piston rod 63 engages the first gas spring 6 , which on the other hand is articulated in a displaceable axis of rotation D3 under the seat 3 . From the front portion 30 of the seat, claws 13 extend downwardly, through which the displaceable axis of rotation D5 extends, on which hinge plates 14 on the one hand are articulated. On the other hand, the joint plates 14 are articulated in a fixed axis of rotation D6 on the seat carrier 10 . The actuating and connecting parts form the actuating mechanism 1 of the chair. The first gas spring 6 and the coil spring 11 act parallel to each other. In this initial position , the backrest 2 is in the vertical direction y 0 in principle vertical and the seat 3 in the horizontal direction x 0 in principle. A user sitting in the chair thus set is in the basically upright basic position.

The first gas spring 6 is surrounded by a sealed housing 60 , which is a Gas chamber 61 encloses. Within the gas chamber 61 , a piston 62 with the piston rod 63 extending therefrom is limitedly axially displaceable. The piston rod 63 extends away from the piston 62 in the expulsion direction, while the diametrical axial direction is defined as the insertion direction. In front of the piston 62, in Austriebsrichtung, a spring element 68 is arranged. The piston 62 is in the starting position, with in principle horizontal seat 3 and vertical backrest 2, on the spring element 68 in a zero position z 0 . This position corresponds to a defined distance between the two the first gas spring 6 enclosing axes of rotation D3, D4. In FIG. 1A , a section of the piston rod 63 is visible between the bearing head 7 and the housing 60 , ie the first gas spring 6 has moved apart.

An externally actuable valve rod 64 extends axially in a valve rod bore 660 through the piston rod 63 of the first gas spring 6, on which a valve plug 67 is arranged, to which a complementary valve seat 66 is located in the piston 62 . When the valve cone 67 is closed, the gas exchange between both sides of the piston 62 via the overflow channel 661 would be prevented. The piston rod 63 exits the housing 60 of the first gas spring 6 through an axial passage 600 . The spring element 68 is fixed within the housing 60 and adjacent to the passage 600 . The guided in the bearing head 70 plunger 70 is an extension of the valve stem 64 and acts upon actuation thereto. For connection to the bearing head 70 , the free outer end of the piston rod 63 is provided with a connection region 65 , from which protrudes the end of the valve rod 64 . For articulation in the axis of rotation D3 , the first gas spring 6 has a front side of the housing 60 mounted suspension 69, here in the form of an eyelet.

Figuren 2A bis 2DFIGS. 2A to 2D

In this group of figures, the backrest 2 is in a rearwardly inclined orientation y 1 and the seat 3 in the front raised orientation x 1 . A user sitting in this chair is in the backward leaning relaxation position.

By weight concentration on the rear portion 31 of the seat 3 , as caused when reclining a user, the distance between the two the first gas spring 6 including rotating axes D3, D4 has been reduced. Initially, the piston 62 stood on the spring element 68 in the unlocked zero position z 0 . Now, the piston 62 has, from the zero position z 0 out, in the insertion direction, namely opposite to the Austriebsrichtung, away from the spring element 68 and moves over a path s 1 , to an inserted end position z 1 . The front portion 30 of the seat 3 was raised against the Austriebstendenz the first gas spring 6 from the zero position x 0 in a raised position to the ground x 1 . The movement of the seat 3 was followed by a synchronous adjustment of the backrest 2 with tilting backwards into the relax position. According to FIG. 2A, there was no longer any distance between the bearing head 7 and the housing 60, ie the first gas spring 6 has traveled at maximum together.

Figur 2D).In either position of the piston 62 , the valve rod 64 could be actuated to bring the poppet 67 into the valve seat 66 so that the gas exchange between the two sides of the piston 62 is blocked via the overflow channel 661 (see Figure 2D).

Figuren 3A bis 3C und Bezug auf Figur 2CFIGS. 3A to 3C and with reference to FIG. 2C

In this group of figures 3A to 3C, the backrest 2 is in a forwardly inclined orientation y 2 and the seat 3 in the front lowered position x 2 . A user sitting in the chair thus set is in the forward inclined writing position.

First (see Figure 2C) was the piston 62 in the starting position, with in principle horizontal seat 3 and vertical backrest 2, on the spring element 68 in the zero position z 0 at. By weight concentration on the front portion 30 of the seat 3, as evoked by the prevention of a user, has become the distance between the two the first gas spring 6 enclosing axes of rotation D3, D4 now maximally increased. The piston 62 acts against the spring element 68 and moved about the zero position z 0 addition, opposite to the insertion direction, namely more in-out direction, over a path s 2, up to a preferred limit position for the second In this case, the front portion 30 of the seat 3 has lowered against the action of the spring element 68 from the zero position x 0 in a negative position inclined to the bottom x 2 . The movement of the seat 3 was followed by a synchronous adjustment of the backrest 2 with forward inclination, so that the chair has thereby moved to the writing position . In FIG. 3A, a longer section of the piston rod 63 is visible between the bearing head 7 and the housing 60 , ie the first gas spring 6 has moved apart to a maximum extent. For the first gas spring 6 thus results from the position in the relax position on the starting position to the position of the writing position a total stroke over the way s = s 1 + s 2 of the retracted end position z 1 of the piston 62 via its zero position z 0 up to the advanced end position z 2 .
