dass innerhalb eines Verkehrswegenetzes (100) innerhalb von Ortschaften nur den Orten Ortscodes zugeordnet sind, die Kreuzungen (111, 311) oder Einmündungen darstellen, an die mindestens drei Durchgangsstraßenabschnitte (1, 3, A620) anschließen
sowie ein Verfahren zur Übertragung digital codierter Verkehrsmeldungen, wobei die Verkehrsmeldungen mindestens ein Verkehrsereignis und einen Ort des Ereignisses umfassen, wobei der Ereignisort in codierter Form als Ortscode übertragen wird, der in einem Empfänger einem Ort in einem Verkehrswegenetz und/oder einem geografischen Ort zuordenbar ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass innerhalb eines Verkehrswegenetzes (100) innerhalb von Ortschaften nur den Orten Ortscodes (111, 311) zugeordnet sind, die Kreuzungen oder Einmündungen darstellen, an die mindestens drei Durchgangsstraßenabschnitte (1, 3, A620) anschließen.

Eine erfindungsgemäße Datenbasis sowie ein erfindungsgemäßes Verfahren zur Übertragung digital codierter Verkehrsmeldungen ermöglichen in vorteilhafter Weise eine Erfassung innerstädtischer Orte durch Ortscodes bzw. "locations" in der location code list innerhalb des bestehenden RDS-TMC-Systems. Die Erfindung ermöglicht folglich eine Codierung exakter Orte innerhalb eines innerörtlichen bzw. innerstädtischen Straßennetzes, ohne dass am bestehenden System Änderungen in der Technik, hier insbesondere dem zur Adressierung der referenzierten Orte verfügbaren Adressraum, vorgenommen werden müssen oder kostspielige Neuentwicklungen erforderlich werden.
