Definitions
- the invention relates to a flat knitting machine with at least two opposite, horizontally aligned needle beds, in which latch needles are arranged, whereby opposite needles for stitch transfer with the outside their needle hooks are mutually engageable.
- a left and left knitting machine is included horizontally arranged needle beds known, in one the needle beds are arranged on the hook head have a notch while in the opposite needle bed Pins are arranged on the hook head one of the notch have the appropriate cutting edge so that the needles interlock with their heads and the long spoon of the Half of the needle tongue covers the counter needle hook.
- this known knitting machine it is possible to without stitches additional transfer devices from a needle to the Hand the needle of the opposite needle bed.
- the Spoon of the tongue of one needle forms a bridge, slide the stitch over the hook of the taking needle can.
- the tongue of the accepting needle must pass through a device be opened before the two needle hooks in mutual Intervention. Otherwise the tongues at the Colliding the needles collide.
- the facility for The tongue opening must ensure that the tongue of the takeover needle is so wide open that the takeover needle Stitch can slide securely into the needle hook.
- Another disadvantage of the known knitting machine is that because of the long tongues for stitch formation relatively large expulsion and retraction movements of the needles and associated with relatively wide knitted locks required are. Enlarge especially with multi-system knitting machines wide knitted locks the required slide stroke when reversing the sled, which also increases the production time increased for the knitted fabrics.
- the needles with the long tongue spoons feed a different knitted pattern than with conventional needles short tongues where the stitch is knocked over the The needle head slides into the mesh.
- the needle with the long tongue on the other hand, jumps the stitch from the Tongue in the mesh, which is caused by others Tension ratios results in a different mesh shape.
- Another disadvantage of the known needles is that fluctuations in manufacturing accuracy Gap between the needle hook can form when the needle hook are brought into mutual engagement. That gap as well as existing hooks and in the transition area Edges can occur especially if the stitch is after a Needle bed offset should be transferred, cause the stitch gets caught in the gap or on one of the edges.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object a flat knitting machine with horizontal needle beds too create a transfer of stitches from a needle of one needle bed to a needle of the other needle bed structurally simpler and safer than the known one Machine.
- the task is started with a flat knitting machine mentioned type according to the invention solved in that the tongues the needles at the end have a spoon holding the needle hook partially covered so that the spoons face each other Do not touch the needles when transferring the stitch hooks are in mutual engagement. Since the No tongues now, even when the needle hooks are pushed together the tongue of the recipient must have mutual contact Do not open the needle before the needles are pushed together and the stitch is transferred.
- the tongue of the rather, the takeover needle can be different from the takeover needle Mesh itself. For this it is an advantage if the bucket ends and the needle hooks are shaped such that there is a wedge-shaped gap between the closed tongue the top of the needle hook and the bottom of the spoon.
- the needles in the a needle bed on the outside of her needle hook a groove and the other needle bed's needles on the outside of her Needle hook have a projection that fits into the groove.
- the groove edges on all Sloping and / or rounded sides and the transition area from the needle hook to the projection also on all sides beveled and / or rounded, so that in mutual Engaging needles are located at the transition between the two needle hooks on all sides a smooth, edged and gap-free surface results. This ensures that too stitches under tension, for example in the case of a needle bed offset, easily from one needle to the other Needle can be transferred.
- the needles on the Needle hook outer sides two laterally and in height to each other have offset protrusions shaped such that the projections of opposing needles interlock can.
- the needles with two It is in contrast to the design with groove and No longer need a lead, two different types of needles to provide.
- the needles of both needle beds can rather be trained identically. Through the side and offset arrangement of the projections can still interlocking of the two outer sides of the needle hook is achieved become.
- the needles an inward curve on the outside of the needle hook Have projection that with the projection of the opposite Needles can be brought into engagement.
- This one too Variant is only one type of needles to be made. Since only one Manufacturing needs to be shaped even easier than with the variant with two protrusions per needle.
- To enable a smooth stitch transfer can also the outer sides of the Projection and the transition surfaces from the needle hook to the projection be so beveled and / or rounded that in the case of mutual engagement of opposing needles a smooth, edge-free and gap-free surface between the two needle hooks.
- the invention also relates to a method for transmission of stitches from the needles of one bed of needles to the needles the other needle bed in a flat knitting machine with at least two opposite, horizontally aligned Needle beds according to one of claims 1 to 9, the thereby is characterized in that the needle hook outer sides of the The needle passing the stitch of the one needle bed and the die Stitching needle of the opposite needle bed be brought into mutual engagement, the stitch comes behind the tongue of the passing needle, and then both needles towards the needle bed with the stitch Passing needle are moved so that the stitch over the spoon of the transferring needle into the transition area between the needle hooks and from there towards the spoon the receiving needle slides, the stitch the Reaches under the spoon and thereby the tongue of the takeover The needle opens and into the needle hook of the receiving needle jumps.
- the needles can also be so-called spring tongue needles, at which the two end positions of the tongue only against one slight spring resistance can be achieved.
- Fig. 1 shows two opposite needles 1, 2 in here horizontally aligned needle beds, not shown a flat knitting machine are arranged.
- the needles 1, 2 have tongues 3, 4 which close the needle hooks 5, 6.
- the tongues 3, 4 are designed so that they also with mutually engaged needle hooks 5, 6, such as they are shown in Fig. 1, do not touch.
- the needle 1 has on the outside of its needle hook 5 a groove 57 designated in FIG. 5.
- the needle 2 is on the Outside of her needle hook 6 with a fitting in the groove 57 Provide projection 67. This makes it possible for the two Needles 1, 2 with their needle hooks 5, 6 in mutual engagement to bring a stitch from a needle 1, 2 to the Needle 2, 1 to be able to transmit.
- 1, 2 and 3 show the transitions between the needle hook 5, 6 and the groove opening and the projection 67 formed such that when pushed together of needles 1, 2 on the top, bottom and on the result in gap-free and edge-free transition surfaces on both sides, so that a stitch easily over the transition area between the two needles 1, 2 can slide away.
- Fig. 4 shows the needles 1, 2 in a separate position, wherein now the contour of the top 51 of the needle hook 5 of the needle 1 and the contour 53 of the underside of the needle hook 5 in beveled shape can be seen.
- the contour 51 forms the horizontal the angle 52 and the contour 53 the angle 54.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a flat knitting machine with at least two opposite, horizontally aligned needle beds, in which latch needles are arranged, whereby opposite needles for stitch transfer with the outside their needle hooks are mutually engageable.
From DE 357 521 a left and left knitting machine is included horizontally arranged needle beds known, in one the needle beds are arranged on the hook head have a notch while in the opposite needle bed Pins are arranged on the hook head one of the notch have the appropriate cutting edge so that the needles interlock with their heads and the long spoon of the Half of the needle tongue covers the counter needle hook. At this known knitting machine it is possible to without stitches additional transfer devices from a needle to the Hand the needle of the opposite needle bed. The Spoon of the tongue of one needle forms a bridge, slide the stitch over the hook of the taking needle can.
Since the tongues of both needles protrude from the needle hook, the tongue of the accepting needle must pass through a device be opened before the two needle hooks in mutual Intervention. Otherwise the tongues at the Colliding the needles collide. The facility for The tongue opening must ensure that the tongue of the takeover needle is so wide open that the takeover needle Stitch can slide securely into the needle hook.
Another disadvantage of the known knitting machine is that that because of the long tongues for stitch formation relatively large expulsion and retraction movements of the needles and associated with relatively wide knitted locks required are. Enlarge especially with multi-system knitting machines wide knitted locks the required slide stroke when reversing the sled, which also increases the production time increased for the knitted fabrics.
In addition, the needles with the long tongue spoons feed a different knitted pattern than with conventional needles short tongues where the stitch is knocked over the The needle head slides into the mesh. With the known The needle with the long tongue, on the other hand, jumps the stitch from the Tongue in the mesh, which is caused by others Tension ratios results in a different mesh shape.
Another disadvantage of the known needles is that fluctuations in manufacturing accuracy Gap between the needle hook can form when the needle hook are brought into mutual engagement. That gap as well as existing hooks and in the transition area Edges can occur especially if the stitch is after a Needle bed offset should be transferred, cause the stitch gets caught in the gap or on one of the edges.
The present invention is therefore based on the object a flat knitting machine with horizontal needle beds too create a transfer of stitches from a needle of one needle bed to a needle of the other needle bed structurally simpler and safer than the known one Machine.
The task is started with a flat knitting machine mentioned type according to the invention solved in that the tongues the needles at the end have a spoon holding the needle hook partially covered so that the spoons face each other Do not touch the needles when transferring the stitch hooks are in mutual engagement. Since the No tongues now, even when the needle hooks are pushed together the tongue of the recipient must have mutual contact Do not open the needle before the needles are pushed together and the stitch is transferred. The tongue of the rather, the takeover needle can be different from the takeover needle Mesh itself. For this it is an advantage if the bucket ends and the needle hooks are shaped such that there is a wedge-shaped gap between the closed tongue the top of the needle hook and the bottom of the spoon. In this wedge-shaped gap can then be taken over by the stitch slide while lifting the spoon. A separate device opening the tongues of the needles can therefore be omitted here. To facilitate the opening of the tongues, the Bucket ends also bevelled on the underside towards the tip his.
With a possible needle design, the needles in the a needle bed on the outside of her needle hook a groove and the other needle bed's needles on the outside of her Needle hook have a projection that fits into the groove. Around the stitch is not transferred through any edges or hinder gaps, the groove edges on all Sloping and / or rounded sides and the transition area from the needle hook to the projection also on all sides beveled and / or rounded, so that in mutual Engaging needles are located at the transition between the two needle hooks on all sides a smooth, edged and gap-free surface results. This ensures that too stitches under tension, for example in the case of a needle bed offset, easily from one needle to the other Needle can be transferred.
In an alternative embodiment, the needles on the Needle hook outer sides two laterally and in height to each other have offset protrusions shaped such that the projections of opposing needles interlock can. In this configuration, the needles with two It is in contrast to the design with groove and No longer need a lead, two different types of needles to provide. The needles of both needle beds can rather be trained identically. Through the side and offset arrangement of the projections can still interlocking of the two outer sides of the needle hook is achieved become. With this configuration, too, it is advantageous if the outer sides of the protrusions and the transition surfaces bevelled between the needle hook and the projections and / or rounded off that in a mutual Engagement of opposing needles on all sides a smooth, edge and gap free area in the transition area between the Needle hook results.
In a third embodiment, the needles an inward curve on the outside of the needle hook Have projection that with the projection of the opposite Needles can be brought into engagement. This one too Variant is only one type of needles to be made. Since only one Manufacturing needs to be shaped even easier than with the variant with two protrusions per needle. To enable a smooth stitch transfer can also the outer sides of the Projection and the transition surfaces from the needle hook to the projection be so beveled and / or rounded that in the case of mutual engagement of opposing needles a smooth, edge-free and gap-free surface between the two needle hooks.

The needles can also be so-called spring tongue needles, at which the two end positions of the tongue only against one slight spring resistance can be achieved.

Fig. 4 shows the

2 einen Winkel 69.FIG. 5 shows the needles from FIG. 4 in a top view. Out

This configuration ensures that at pushed together needles 1, 2 on all outer sides of the transition area between the needle hooks 5, 6 a smooth, split and edge-free area results.
dieser Position durch die Nadel 1 am stärksten gespannt.8 to 10 now illustrate how a stitch transfer

5, 6 heruntergleitet. In Fig. 9 it is then shown how a further movement

If the
Fig. 12 und insbesondere Fig. 14 zeigen.
Fig. 15 illustriert die seitlich
versetzte Anordnung der Vorsprünge 70, 80 sowie die Anschrägungen
71, 72 bzw. 81, 82 an den Seiten der Vorsprünge 70, 80.
Diese sind auch in den Fig. 16, 17 zu erkennen.11 to 17 show a second embodiment of the needles

erkennen.
