Claims (18)
- An image-recordable release liner comprising(a) a support having a first main surface and a second main surface,(b) a release layer on the first main surface of said support and comprising a release agent composition, and(c) a recording layer on the second main surface of said support, said recording layer comprising a resin, wherein the image-recordable release liner has a light transmittance of at least 70 % when measured according to JISK 7105 and when illuminating said liner from the side of said release layer.
- The image-recordable release liner according to claim 1, wherein the image-recordable release liner has a light transmittance of at least 80% when measured according to JIS K 7105.
- The image-recordable release liner according to claim1, wherein the image-recardable release liner has a light transmittance of at least 90% when measured according to JIS K 7105.
- The image-recordable release liner according to any one of claims 1 to 3, further comprising an image on an outer surface of the recording layer.
- The image-recordable release liner according to claim 4, wherein the image comprises an ink or toner.
- The image-recordable release liner according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the image can be seen as a non-reverse image through the release layer of the image-recordable release liner.
- The image-recordable release liner according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the release layer comprises a silicone release agent composition.
- The image-recordable release liner according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the support is a polyester, a polyvinyl chloride, an ionomer, an acrylic polymer, a polyolefin, or a polyurethane.
- The image-recordable release liner according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the resin in the recording layer is a polyester, a vinyl chloride polymer, an acrylic polymer or a polyolefin copolymer.
- The image-recordable release liner according to claim 9, wherein the resin in the recording layer is a vinyl chloride copolymer, a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
- An adhesive sheet structure comprising(A) a substrate having a first main surface and a second main surface,(B) a first adhesive layer on the first main surface of said substrate and containing a self-adherent polymer, and(C) an image-recordable release liner according to anyone of claims 1 to 10, which is laminated on said first adhesive layer with said release layer facing said first adhesive layer.
- The adhesive sheet structure according to claim 11, further comprising a second adhesive layer on the second main surface of the substrate.
- The adhesive sheet structure according to claim 11, further comprising a second release liner on an outer surface of the second adhesive layer.
- A roll of adhesive comprising the adhesive sheet structure according to any one of claims 11 to 13.
- A method of viewing an image, said method comprising the steps of:separating the image-recordable release liner from the first adhesive layer of the adhesive sheet structure according to any one of claims 11 to 13 or the roll of claim 14; andviewing an image as a non-reverse image through the release layer of the image-recordable release liner.
- The method of claim 15, further comprising the step of:farming an image on an outer surface of the recording layer of the image-recordable release liner prior to the separating step.
- The method of claim 15, further comprising the step of: ' forming an image on an outer surface of the recording layer of the image-recordable release liner after the separating step.
- The method of claim 16 or 17, wherein the step of forming an image comprises printing toner or ink onto the recording layer.
