According to a further variant of the air duct funnel may be plugged as an additional part on the engine or the fan hood. The whole unit is then over Rubber parts of known type coupled in the device body and sealed. In previous designs, the suction air could reach only very strong curvatures from the dust chamber in the blower. Through the air funnel now the air is streamlined out of the dust chamber into the fan. This spoiler funnel is advantageously designed in the dust chamber to increase the entrance surface as a rectangle. The funnel shape preferably runs swiftly and without a contour jump towards the round diameter of the blower inlet opening. For safety reasons, protective ribs may be installed in the funnel center (opening to the fan). The ribbed body is expediently designed to be funnel-shaped in the opposite direction to the air-conducting funnel outward in the direction of the dust space. Due to this special funnel shape of the motor protection grid (ribbed body), the free air cross section between the individual ribs can be made as large as possible or a relatively smaller obstruction of the air flow can be achieved. As a result, an overall increase in air capacity and thus an increase in the output of the respective vacuum cleaner is possible.

Claims (12)

  1. Vacuum cleaner (SS) for sucking up and collecting particles (ST) in at least one collecting chamber (SR), with at least one receiving chamber (MR) for suction means (MO, GB) comprising a fan (GB) driven by a motor (MO), wherein the collecting chamber (SR) and the receiving chamber (MR) are separated from one another by a partition wall (TW) which has an inlet opening for an air flow (LF) from the collecting chamber (SR) to the suction means (MO, GB) and wherein the partition wall (TW) has, as inlet opening for coupling of the collecting chamber (SR) to the suction means (MO, GB) of the receiving chamber (MR), an air guide funnel (LT) which narrows from its entry surface (RE) at the collecting chamber (SR) in direction towards the suction means (MO, GB) and the entry area (RE) of which forms the substantial part of the partition wall area (TW), characterised in that the air guide funnel (LT) has in its funnel base an intrusion protection element (ES) which is formed by a ribbed body, which widens in dome-like manner or is otherwise shaped in direction towards the collecting chamber (SR) and which has gaps for substantially unobstructed passage of the air flow (LF) from the collecting chamber (SR) to the suction means (MO, GB), the protective ribs of the element protruding in the funnel centre of the air guide funnel (LT), i.e. towards the opening to the fan (GB), in direction towards the collecting chamber (SR).
  2. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to claim 1, characterised in that the intrusion protection element (ES) protrudes in the direction of the collecting chamber (SR) only to such an extent that its outer contour is flush with the entry area (RE) of the air guide funnel (LT).
  3. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air guide funnel (LT) is integrated in the partition wall (TW) as an independent component.
  4. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the partition wall (TW), the air guide funnel (LT) and the intrusion protection element (ES) can be made as individual components and mechanically coupled together.
  5. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the partition wall (TW), the air guide funnel (LT) and/or the intrusion protection element (ES) forms or form an integral component produced in common.
  6. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air guide funnel (LT) is provided with respect to its entry area in the partition wall (TW) in such a manner that an approximately rectilinear suction air flow (LF) is provided from the collecting chamber (SR) to the suction means (MO, GB) in the receiving chamber (MR).
  7. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air guide funnel (LT) has a substantially rectangular entry area on sides of the collecting chamber (SR).
  8. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air guide funnel (LT) substantially constantly narrows in direction towards the suction means (MO, GB).
  9. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air guide funnel (LT) has an exit area which is formed to be substantially circularly round and has a diameter which substantially corresponds with the inlet opening of the fan (GB) of the suction means.
  10. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a filter bag (PF) for collecting the particles (ST) is provided in the collecting chamber (SR).
  11. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one additional filter element (FI) for cleaning the air flow (LF) from the collecting chamber (SR) to the suction means (MO, GB) is provided in front of the entry area of the air guide funnel (LT).
  12. Vacuum cleaner (SS) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the entry area (RE) of the air guide funnel (LT) occupies at least 50%, preferably between 70 and 80%, of the total area of the partition wall.
