    gripping tools are fixed on the casing to pins and are arranged with the tong parts (6, 7, 8) in such a manner that they are pivotable inwards and outwards, and the spanner (32) fixed to the end of the handle is tiltably arranged with a pivoted part (11) on an articulated axle (9), and the spanner (32) is adjustably and pivotably arranged on a hinge pin (10) with one jaw (16) of its two jaws (15, 16) that are movable towards one another, and the spanner (32) is provided with toothings (20, 21, 27, 28), wherein a toothing (20, 21) arranged on an arc of a circle of the pivoted part (11) is in engagement with a toothing (27, 28) of the jaw (15), the centre of said arc of a circle being formed by the hinge pin (10), and a spring (37) is arranged between this jaw (15) and the hinge pin (10) for supporting the resting on the parts that are to be grasped.
  2. All-purpose tool according to claim 1, characterized in that
    the hinge pin (10) extends vertically to the plane formed by the jaws (15, 16), and the jaw (16) is provided with a guide (29) extending at right angles relative to the hinge pin (10), in which guide a rack (30) with the toothing (27, 28) is guided longitudinally movably, said rack being connected to the other jaw (15).
  3. All-purpose tool according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that
    the jaw (16) comprises forked legs (35, 36) for enclosing the pivoted part (11), through which legs the hinge pin (10) extends, and a plunger pin (33) that is flexibly fixed in the pivoted part (11) or handle end (13) engages with at least one circular face of the legs (35, 36) of the jaw (16), which plunger pin is enclosed by a collar (34) of flexible material and fixed in a bore (33') of the pivoted part (11) or of the handle end (13).
  4. All-purpose tool according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that
    the articulated axle (9) is arranged in a bore (11"') of the pivoted part (11) and a bore (12') in the haft part (12) and can be brought into predetermined tilt positions by snap-in locking devices that consist of grooves (12") in the pivoted part (11) and a spring-loaded plunger pin (13') in the haft part (12).
  5. All-purpose tool according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that
    the articulated axle (9) is detachable.
